I remember when I bought my surround sound system. I got it at circuit city , which doesn't exist any longer. This shaker would blend right in. π. Thanks for the instructional video.
Good video. I've done a similar thing to my sofa that I use in my home theater room. I've had base shakers in it for almost 10 years now. I pulled apart an old Sony powered subwoofer so I could use the amp and crossover, just sending the desired low frequencies. I have two base outputs in my Yamaha home theater amp. One goes to the regular subwoofer and the other goes to the base shakers. I agree, it is a must if you're a serious home theater fanatic like you and I are!
Did you get the adapter plate from Valencia and the bass shakers separately or was it a package provided by Valencia?
I followed this same protocol and got things hooked up.
The problem though is Iβm getting the tv volume through the shaker as well, not just bass. Did I miss something? You donβt seem to have this problem.
I have the shaker wired to amp and my amp is paired by Bluetooth to tv.
Ideas?

Curious, how did you disconnect the metal clamps to be able to separate the chairs from each other? Is there a release mechanism?
Iβm confused! He sat in the video cannot be connected to a fire stick but towards the end says it can be. Did I miss something?

I was hoping to get more info from Valencia about these kits. I don't see anything specifically reference them on their web site. What was the cost of the kits? Also did you change the feet on your chairs to make the vibration more noticeable? Thanks!
I didn't change the feet and still feel plenty of feedback. I know kits are custom orders, so you need to call Valencia to add them to your order.
These kits are $250 a piece

Valencia says that old customers cannot get this bass shaker kit, it is only installed on new orders.π
You just need to cut wood plank, bass shaker, and amp. I'll make another video for a sofa couch.

@@TampaTec I was told the same thing. I even took pictures and wanted Valencia to confirm it would not fit but my chair looked identical to your chair frame. They claimed they pulled the specs for my chair and said the kit would not fit and that they trust their production department. I spoke with a different person and I ordered one anyway and it was a perfect fit. My chair was ordered in 2020. All six frame holes lined up perfectly with the mounting plate. No wires had to be rerouted or anything.
