The GR Corolla Morizo Edition was an incredible car to drive and review. It feels raw and unfinished. It is a beautiful thing in this world of automation.
"Infotainment, who cares" finally a car reviewer on youtube gets it. Also the fact that you have 1m subscriber quality videos with less then 500 subs is insane
Quite the car, the Morizo. I owned one for a brief period in Australia together with a GR Yaris. A few uncommon facts about the Morizo v the 'standard' GR Corolla to share: It's 120LBS lighter than the Core edition, has 1.1 more PSI Turbo Boost, and 22 pound ft of torque, forged BBS wheels with engraved and painted GR Logo on each wheel, Michelin Cup 2 tires,. First and Second gear ratios have been reword to be closer together (something I really notice v the Yaris), larger front brake ducts, retund KYB suspension (unique to this car only) uprated spring rates, 349 more spot welds than the standard GR, additional seam sealer a special Asian EA68E transmission, together with deleted rear window wiper, rear switches and seats and a special bracing system designed to proved enough room for four track tyres and wheels, as well as an Alcantara wheel, shifter knob and ebrake handle. Amazing machine and most probably a collectors item. Only 25 of them have come to Australia while you guys get 200.
I can’t understand how you don’t have a million subscribers yet, love how laid back and informative your videos are. I’m lucky enough to own a FL5 but damn that Morizo looks bad ass!!
@@TheJDMFanatic if you can find one that isnt marked up like crazy id say go for it. I work for toyota and they still charged me a 2k markup. Somehow my sister dealership had 3 on the lot not sold yet.
Nice review. I have a white CE and I love it. On paper and even objectively the Type R may be a better car, but for similar money I feel the Toyota feels more special. The CE actually has the front vents blocked off because it has the bigger wing. I thought it was a mistake until I researched it. The Morizo has different gearing and some shot peeling of the gears. It also has different shifter bushings and shorter throws I believe. The CE and Core have Cup 4s which are better street tires. Morizo also has different shocks and springs for the grippier rubber. Subscribed!
Yes you need to go buy them or we will have another mitsu EVO situation, everyone complains it is gone after they sit on lots for months when they where around. Waiting for my two local msrp dealers list for a white circuit edition.
I have a ‘23 Circuit in Heavy Metal grey that should be showing up any day now. I can’t wait!

Bought my '24 Premium (basically a fully-loaded Core) two months ago - absolutely love it
Nice! I am considering a circuit edition toward the end of this year so I can make videos of it on this channel.
I’m really enjoying my circuit edition
Nice! I think that is the one I would get. I've been checking the Toyota site daily for them to drop the 2024 model year

What color is yours
@@1anre sonic pearl grey
@johnsrey4421 super. Same color as my Si.
Why not upload videos of it on RUclips, too?
@@TheJDMFanatic wait, you're the chapters who sold his Si a while back?
Now folks that's a Toyota watch and learn if you don't have one my bad. Cape Town South Africa 🌍♥️
My man, saw your channel when you had the ST. I just picked up my loaded core. Breaking it in still but its a blast to drive.
That's awesome! I am really considering one of these. Had a blast driving it and could make a ton of videos on it too like I did with the ST

The Morizo sounds like an old school air-cooled Porsche to me.
