It's just not Australia / Aussies
Here in the UK it's a failure of RPU's (Road Policing Units) - they became an extinct species here unless you're involved in drugs, repeat driving whilst banned or TWOCing/theft. Our police forces have been reassigned to bending the knee, macarena dancing and arresting people for saying hurty words - see recent headlines
For everyday bad/dangerous driving......nothing, not a damn thing, is done - and that's why everyone's insurance keeps going up and up. Even the insurance companies could take action against their own clients to "encourage" safer driving but they aren't interested because it'd affect their profits.

@@philhunt9297 Our problem (Australia) is also lack of policing. All they do these days is process images from speed cameras and traffic cameras. The consequence of this is that the driving just gets worse and worse. Most crashes are only avoided by the few good drivers and modern cars with ABS, stability control and collision avoidance. I see more ambulances on the road than marked police cars and the unmarked cars seem to be tasked on things other than traffic.

4:13 - I have watched so many DCO videos where this happens, that on a recent trip with a truck turning left in front of me, I expected the (car I could not see) to drive out like this white one does. So I deliberately went wide into the slip lane and made myself as visible asap, as well as prepared to brake / swerve should the need arise.
Sure enough, the twit at the T intersection, despite not being able to see through a truck, decided to pull out. I swerved as necessary, they saw me earlier than usual and braked, leaving them stopped in the middle of the lane, and me shaking my head. No dash cam, but wanted to thank DCO for the videos, as it has made my trips anywhere in the car that little bit safer, knowing the typical driving behaviour I can expect.
I appreciate the opportunity to learn vicariously and take those lessons with me when I drive. Thanks mate, much appreciated.

@@Kiki-sg4bg OK, let me try to be clearer because I think its an important point. The horn is of genuine value in avoiding incidents, for instance to warn a pedestrian to stop the stepping in front of your vehicle and others. However some drivers use the horn during an incident when they should be 100% engaged in avoiding an accident. Its not the physical proximity of the buttons that matters its the fact that part of their brain is engaged in venting their anger by swearing and sounding the horn rather than the complex process of making the correct steering and braking inputs. Watch a video of a really good racing/ rally driver avoiding an accident. No horn, no swearing - just quick accurate inputs and silence. You should try and emulate that.

The clip with constant honking from behind got muted by youtube. The honking started when the train was still passing, and it looked like an express. You are supposed to stay stopped until the railway lights stop flashing, which is why both cars did not move until then, and the lights won't stop flashing until the boom gate is fully up. That's the kind of driver that if there's no car in front of them they'll try to go around the boom gates with a fast moving train about to turn them into jam. It's also two lines, the most dangerous kind of crossing to that those drivers, because there could easily be two trains about to use the level crossing, just not necessarily at the same time - that's one of the reasons you have to wait for the lights to stop flashing.

21:50 I mean even if we agree the biker was meant to give way (I felt it was borderline and the DCs can skew perspective...BUT lets just say for argument he should have 100% given way) DC had HEAPS of time to react and STILL passed way too quickly and too close and so I'm 100% with the bike rider in these clips. You're the ones driving a vehicle that would kill him so grow up and drive better!
