IKR there also needs to be a simple way of letting drivers know its dangerous to overtake on the right around that intersection. Maybe a solid line on the ground instead of a dotted line? 🤔🤷♂
I feel like 19:03 was a bit unnecessary. They were clearly doing a 3 point turn, the person filming didn’t need to get that close. They had plenty of time to slow down and wait
Maybe depends on the context and preceding footage which we can't see. If they are still doing the manoeuver from a mile away or did it normally but disturbed the traffic which is what it looks like.
Looks to me like they started it with traffic coming. Don't do a 3 point turn with traffic coming. That's a dick move at best, and bloody dangerous at worst.
If there's plenty of time then the person choosing to block the road can wait and let the other people past before they block it. Driving out to block the road with a car oncoming is rude.
Some things are just way too difficult, stopping at a red light, seeing a truck when it's only a few meters away from you and going around a roundabout the wrong way
18:26 kudos to the Ute driver apologising. So weird how many people get defensive and mad when they get caught making a mistake or doing the wrong thing on the road instead of apologising and moving on.
Always gotta love those who always leave it at the last moment to turn into traffic. Really makes one wonder if they have some sort of death wish of something.
10:37 One of the most infamous roundabouts in Australia. It has made countless appearances on dash cams but none before the actual roundabout. I was t-boned here.
I watch these every week thinking is it today. 😂 I have my own dashcam so will show the other side if I'm ever in one of these. To be fair, I only treat other drivers how they treat me. 😂
My car's a Vixen red F6 Typhoon and loud so kinda stands out. I cringe whenever her backend flicks out a little in the wet or something that a DCer might class as DCA worthy. Not that I drive like a twat...her parts are too expensive to fuck up anyway😒
21:47 The car driver in this instance is the knob. There was plenty of time for the cyclist to proceed, that there was a car turning right reducing the space for the car driver to overtake is the driver's problem. What the driver should have done was simply slow down till he cleared the bottleneck, then proceed. It would have taken at most a few seconds, it's not that hard to share the road, really. There was no need for the car driver and passenger's histrionics. Their sense of entitlement is real.
What are you talking about? There is only one lane going forward. It's a close call but I think the bicycle should have given way as they have to consider the speed of the road they turning into.
Cyclists view of the DC driver may have been impaired by the car turning right & the DC had quite a lot of time to slow down, one of those situations where the roads & the rules are never perfect, so you try to make it work, the other issue is some couples are horrible & they inflict themselves on others.
Whilst the cyclist deserves a big slap on the head for failing to give way, the motorist had 3 seconds to apply to brakes from a relatively slow 46Km/h and avoid squeezing in between the cyclist and car in the turning lane which is quite achievable.
Might be true but not everyone reacts as fast or has good ability to dodge close obstacles. But also note, the cyclist probably would have gotten mad either way. I believe that cyclist is just a self entitled idiot who is one of the bad apples in tree and part of the reason why many motorist hate cyclist. They act like you’re in the wrong when in fact they are. Most sensible drivers/cyclists would slow down and give way. But he clearly proceeded and said if they hit me- they can deal with the consequences. But pulling out in front of a car at high speeds you’d have to have a death wish.
@@BadDrivingHabitsOfAustralia so being that the cyclist didn't give way to traffic like he was signed to do! your condoning the cyclist action? of failing to give way and failing to keep left! nice your part of the problem!
When you encounter someone behaving lilke a complete fool you have One Job, which is to avoid hitting them or anyone else and ensuring that you and any passengers in the car stay safe. Yelling, swearing and sounding the horn does not help and the red mist can lead to secondary errors. These incidents are going to happen, Just chill and make sure you dont add to the problem.
Sounding the horn is a warning, quite legal, and may in fact alert the driver of your presence if not they have nearly had an accident. Better to sound the horn than hit them?
. @trevorpetty6506 Agreed, there are situations where sounding the horn signals your approach and may avert a collision. But in the middle of an incident your steering and braking inputs should occupy 100% of your attention, and you should not be reaching for the horn in anger.
@@mddah01 horns are conveniently placed on the steering wheel. Some in the middle but some are at your fingertips. Both positions allow you to press it while braking and steering your car. It’s a concern that you. Are you incapable of pressing the horn while taking evasive action? Is that why you think others can’t either?
@@Kiki-sg4bg OK, let me try to be clearer because I think its an important point. The horn is of genuine value in avoiding incidents, for instance to warn a pedestrian to stop the stepping in front of your vehicle and others. However some drivers use the horn during an incident when they should be 100% engaged in avoiding an accident. Its not the physical proximity of the buttons that matters its the fact that part of their brain is engaged in venting their anger by swearing and sounding the horn rather than the complex process of making the correct steering and braking inputs. Watch a video of a really good racing/ rally driver avoiding an accident. No horn, no swearing - just quick accurate inputs and silence. You should try and emulate that.
The amount of Australian drivers who aren't looking, aren't giving way, running red lights, swerving onto the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic etc.....they should have this thing where you have to pass some test or something to be able to drive on our roads...I know it sounds silly and it would never take off but, just a thought anyway 🤓

The clip with constant honking from behind got muted by youtube. The honking started when the train was still passing, and it looked like an express. You are supposed to stay stopped until the railway lights stop flashing, which is why both cars did not move until then, and the lights won't stop flashing until the boom gate is fully up. That's the kind of driver that if there's no car in front of them they'll try to go around the boom gates with a fast moving train about to turn them into jam. It's also two lines, the most dangerous kind of crossing to that those drivers, because there could easily be two trains about to use the level crossing, just not necessarily at the same time - that's one of the reasons you have to wait for the lights to stop flashing.
@ Chrisamic And then you better look both directions of the track to make sure that what or whoever is controlling those lights and beams didn't miss anything before you start to move ;-)
12:11 im sure your insurance company is gonna love the fact that you accelerated straight into an obvious hazard and used your horn instead of your brakes lmao
I'm sure their insurance company is going to see a driver that changes lanes without giving sufficient notice of indication and without giving way and front the offending driver for 100% cost

You guys should do an 'appropriate song' compilation, what with the guy blowing through a red to 'When I say Red Light, I need you to stop' at 3:33 and the one spinning out to 'You Spin My Head Right Round' at 8:21
I'm not sure that's what happened. I've watched it a few times, and I think DC driver was rear ended (hence the flash when the car was jolted) and was then shoved into the car in front.
21:52. The Numpty MAMIL should be thanking the cammer for saving his life rather than abusing him. He obviously doesn't understand basic Road Rules (ie Give Way Signs) and certainly doesn't understand the laws of physics as well. Also, cyclist broke rule which forbids operators of vehicles on public roads using mobile phones - Yes, the mobile phone rules also apply to cyclists on public roads.
Would've been fair doos if not for the unnecessarily close and illegal pass the cammer decided to aggressively speedup to undertake. Cunts the both of them, but the driver is in a dangerous vehicle, the rider is only endangering himself.
I thought it might have been on audio book where you have to imagine Jim looking to camera. It hadn’t occurred to me until after I commented that we have new fangled technology that lets us watch the moving pictures in the car rather than just hearing them over the phonograph 😅
21:53 That driver was very irresponsible and is lucky he's not getting a charge for dangerous driving occasioning death. Yes, the cyclist should have given way. The driver had PLENTY of time to slow down, but instead put his foot down and squashed up against the cyclist dangerously. One minor mistake by the cyclist when the cam car is close and the cam car driver would be in jail.
The driver did not put their foot down, they were accelerating well before the cyclist entered the road. To cap that off, they had only increased by 10kmh after passing the left turning vehicle.
That reminds me of something Dave Allen said. If 10% of road accidents are caused by drink drivers, that means the other 90% are caused by people that DON"T drink. ha... check mate copper hehe

3 or 4 years back I just missed splattering a woman in Toowoomba who stepped out from between two work type vans, her head stuck looking down at her flippin phone. I pulled up about 20cm short of taking her down with the bullbar on my 4wd.
I used to think it was just my car that had a coating over it that made it invisible now I see there are many cars on the road with this same coating😂😂😂😂
21:50 I mean even if we agree the biker was meant to give way (I felt it was borderline and the DCs can skew perspective...BUT lets just say for argument he should have 100% given way) DC had HEAPS of time to react and STILL passed way too quickly and too close and so I'm 100% with the bike rider in these clips. You're the ones driving a vehicle that would kill him so grow up and drive better!
Cameras skew perspective because they make things look further away they really are. That cyclist pulled out with just over a car-length of space, so the dc didn't really have much room to avoid them.

10:07 Oh boy, if only there was a dedicated lane to use to overtake cars that are turning right, that sure would be handy 🤔😂

timing of the song @ 8:24 is perfect, the matrix was running smoothly that day
I feel like 19:03 was a bit unnecessary.
If you’re doing a 3 point turn on a road like this use a driveway. Way safer for everyone.
Nah, I agree. Dashcammer not helping things at all.
Some things are just way too difficult, stopping at a red light, seeing a truck when it's only a few meters away from you and going around a roundabout the wrong way
_"going around a roundabout the *right way"_ - Ironically you went the wrong way at the end there 😉
It’s scary to see but also funny to watch lol
18:26 kudos to the Ute driver apologising. So weird how many people get defensive and mad when they get caught making a mistake or doing the wrong thing on the road instead of apologising and moving on.
It is nice to see.
So many aussies on the road get so defensive when they mess up and someone beeps them. Just throw up a hand and say sorry and it's done.

As a former commuter cyclist, that cyclist in the last clip needs to learn his lesson the hard way with tyre prints to the face.
perfect example of "all the gear, but no idea"
He was in the right. He had his whole vehicle well within the lane before the car was there. It was mildly rude but what the car did was illegal

3:41 Love the "Red Light Green Light" song playing in the dashcam car as the other car runs the red!
13:30, was that a beep??? Yeah mate let me run the rail crossing for ya.
Just punch thru the boom gate ffs
I agree - don't worry about what the law says - entitlement is everything.
So you obviously don’t understand the road rules, the bike should’ve gave way
@@shizzynwa exactly he’s on the road so he should follow the road rules, meaning he should’ve gave way
Cyclists view of the DC driver may have been impaired by the car turning right & the DC had quite a lot of time to slow down, one of those situations where the roads & the rules are never perfect, so you try to make it work, the other issue is some couples are horrible & they inflict themselves on others.
22:26 In these circumstances, I always like to ask, "What would the coroner say?" 🤷
Whilst the cyclist deserves a big slap on the head for failing to give way, the motorist had 3 seconds to apply to brakes from a relatively slow 46Km/h and avoid squeezing in between the cyclist and car in the turning lane which is quite achievable.
@@chrissluice3973 normal cyclist the road rules don't apply to them!

At this point, the weekly submissions are rivaling the monthlys. Might have to make the weekly bi annual to fit them all in 😂😅
When you encounter someone behaving lilke a complete fool you have One Job, which is to avoid hitting them or anyone else and ensuring that you and any passengers in the car stay safe.
Just here for my daily dose of anger 😂😂

The audio cut is possibly due to copyright. Full audio on their Twitch. After car behind beeps camcar goes "WTF do you want me to do" m.twitch.tv/dashcamownersaus/clip/CogentBreakableSalmonLitty-z1CaQT_fneL6O4P0?filter=clips&range=7d
OP posted link above: basically the car behind was honking their horn like they were able to go or something.
Like Mechail said, the ute in the rear was honking while the boomgates were still down
The clip with constant honking from behind got muted by youtube.
@ Chrisamic
And then you better look both directions of the track to make sure that what or whoever is controlling those lights and beams didn't miss anything before you start to move ;-)
12:11 im sure your insurance company is gonna love the fact that you accelerated straight into an obvious hazard and used your horn instead of your brakes lmao

The clip before it as well of the DC driver rear ending the blue ford, he had plenty of time to react
