In a inner area you got to deal with it, but in the outer suburbs it’s annoying if a neighbour decides to park in front of your house instead of their own for no reason. I’ve had to deal with that with 3 neighbours over the years.

There is an unbelievable amount of arrogance and extraordinary stupidity on the road.

That's at the Moorabbin Airport DFO carpark on the Aldi side, that road there is the main road everyone should give way to legally, but man what a stupid amount of speed to be going along there with all the foot traffic.

@@foff-666- Not a "solid white line" the way a Stop line is - in this case it's the outline border for the "Keep Clear" area. The Honda driver had right of way, but should have slowed down, especially when seeing the other side had stopped and left a gap for the Keep Clear area.

Also, look both directions before and during crossing an intersection.
If you use a colon instead of a period it turns the number into a clickable link to the spot in the video.
If Pedestrians are on a crossing they have the right to expect cars to stop. I was a lollipop lady and even with my stop sign they nearly hit the kids crossing the road, and me as well, my feet were run over alot, such assholes 🤬

2. Driving in a bus lane (if the DC time is correct)
3. Possibly running a red light (non-DC driver)
I happen to live around the area , this is along Victoria rd past the holy cross college and just before Bunnings, which is opposite of the Gladesville pool arena.
The bus lane along Victoria rd applies to 10am ,after that it becomes a clear lane. (In saying that ,you would be surprised about how many people don’t pay to attention to that).
I do agree that the dash cam shouldn’t be going into the bus lane ,however he might have little option as he was blocking the intersection and he has to move.
I think the other driver has done a lot more wrong than the dc car, as he not just has used the bus lane , and gone through I think a red light. But he has also gone through a left turn lane while the bus lane is still operational.
In saying that, I agree with what you said
If there are no lane lines right across the intersection, it is not illegal to change lanes in an intersection - unless you fail to give way like the dash cam vehicle.
Could also say the cammer didn't indicate, except the light was turning red so they probably assumed no one was gonna run into them... in the bus lane... but of course, bad luck strikes...

When travelling straight ahead it is deemed unsafe to change lanes while in the intersection under the Australian Road Rules as developed by the Australian Transport Council in 1999. The rule of thumb is that although there are no lane markings in the intersection, the markings present in the lane up to the start of the intersection continue through that intersection, and you are not to cross them.
It is common in metro areas to see drivers caught in intersections blocking cross-traffic as congestion sees traffic bank up. These cars caught in the middle of an intersection as lights change force drivers to move their car to a lane where there is space to move forward out of the intersection. This is illegal and the Australian Road Rules state that you are not to proceed unless you can see, with certainty, there is space for your car on the other side of the intersection.
While an increasing number of drivers ignore this rule, you are also not allowed to change lanes 15m out from an intersection or change lanes while in a roundabout.
DC is 100% at fault, as they moved into the path of the other driver; whether the other driver ran the red is not germane to the DC driver not checking the lane was clear before moving across.

That truck driver at about 8:00 minutes into the video driving down the wrong side of the road, it’s good that the camera owner didn’t let him get away with it. I’d do and have down the same thing before to teach these pricks a lesson in respecting the rules of the road. Make them have to waste more of their time instead of letting them think that they’re above the law. He probably thought that he was going to save some time at the next intersection. If we teach them all that they aren’t above the law, then maybe they might do the right thing. Then there’s the fact that the fool is on the phone, how the camera owner showed this footage to the police.

Some of these footage is pretty bad. Must be downsized for upload to dashcams. Can’t see the stationary bike plates at 2:00 which is extraordinary for a blackvue dashcam.

First video I’ve watched of yours from ‘Down Under’ (I’ve subscribed), in a warped kind of way it’s amazing to see the standard of driving is so shit throughout the world!
I thought it was just here in the UK that standards were so shit & that we showed an amazing level of entitlement but the more I watch any of these dash cam channels from around the world I realise that it’s a worldwide phenomenon!!
And yet when these people end up dead or put in prison for killing someone else, their loved ones won’t understand why because they’re such great people (who just don’t know how to operate what in theory is a killing machine!!)
I found the UK much nicer than Australia when it came to driving... And watching Ashley Neal's channel, I still feel like the UK is much safer on the roads than Australia. People in his comments always seem shocked at things we would just ignore because it happens too often here in Australia.
I for one would like to see a crackdown on generally pathetic driving, but automated speed cameras are just too easy to install.
The UK has lots of cameras on Traffic light intersections, half of these people would be off the road in weeks with the points and fines if Aus had the same.
Low standards of driving down here for sure; but high standards of swearing/reactions. You Brits are altogether too polite, though I suspect Ronnie Pickering has raised the average.

@@tin2001 I’d love to see far harsher sentences for the majority of things that go on on the roads, as I mentioned in my original comment, people are dealing with a killing machine, if people can’t handle that then it’s likely to result in only one thing & that’s death (or serious injury), our Justice System here is massively outdated & not fit for purpose but that’s a whole different story.
Nothing amazes me now with the poor standard of driving, when you consider there must be hundreds (if not thousands) of these channels throughout the world & they are all posting tens of videos a week of piss poor driving, if the police dealt with half of them, there would be a lot less people causing havoc on the roads but on saying that, driving bans seem to do very little here as the majority of those banned ignore the bans & drive anyway & if caught again, they just get their ban extended!! But as I say, our justice system is a joke because how many times do you keep banning someone that is already banned or banning someone who has been drink-driving but then continues to do it?!? Banning persistent offenders is as affective as telling a pervert he can watch porn, it’s pointless because they will continue to do it!

The condition being you fail to give way and pull out in front of another vehicle, thereby causing an accident? The insurance company would be going after the car at fault.
Remember it's always better to be right and to end up with your car in the panel shop, than it is to accept others stupidity and avoid the headache of car repairs.

@@lesstockley4937 The other driver almost stopped, so I doubt it would have made that much difference; of course, any insurance company would try it on to reduce liability but the DC made an unsafe turn by failing to give way, so should bear full responsibility.

@@TheRealMrCods Looking at google maps, they both have stop signs so yeah, the other would get a ticket for not stopping.
However, the dash vehicle could get a ticket for failing to give way (if the cop wanted to hand out tickets *which they do sometimes*)
I've actually been in this situation (from both sides) and find it is best to judge if the other is going to stop. i.e. better to avoid a crash if you can (regardless of who is in the wrong)
blue car has a STOP sign (you can see the back of it) and didn't stop prior to proceeding.
@@user-zx9bh8gb8v What the cops would do isn't very relevant as they would not attend a minor collision like this. It is up to the insurance companies to determine fault. In this case, I would say 50:50, both drivers at fault.

They were stopping to render assistance/offer dashcam footage - they go from the straight lane to immediately parking on the side street.

@@conradleonardNot a solid stop line - stop lines are twice as thick as regular lines - that ones just the border marking for a Keep Clear area. See to the passenger side of the holden, the line continues all the way to that curb, Stop lines finish in the middle of the road.
Now, as to which driver is thicker,... both? 😂
