Regarding "kids get enough toys;" when my nephew was about 7 and I was kinda broke, I crocheted everybody some really simple fuzzy scarves, and he was so impressed he wore his everywhere and told people in tones of awe: "my aunt MADE this for me!" Don't discount the "wow" factor of handmades.
The December Bow is so quick and addictive to knit! I have added a ultra thin glitter thread to mine for extra festiveness✨ A little knitting hack, you can also use the pattern to make a headband
Another suggestion for a quick but meaningful gift- knitting or crocheting a stuffie of their pet! I’m adapting a few of the Edwards Menagerie dogs patterns for friends and family this Christmas, a lot of my friends moved out of the family home and left their pets behind so I’m hoping a little crochet version will help!
OK, just encountered a little Christmas miracle here!! I was trying to think of a little token to give a friend of mine who fosters cats--then you come along with the cat in a life preserver!!!!! It's PERFECT!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!! Loved this video and your channel--you are a lifesaver!! ❤
Hey! I work for Save the Children (different country but we are all one association) and I can say we are not fake! 😅 we do a lot for children, education, health, sponsorship, child protection and a lot ❤
the little face you did after mentioning the gap outlet was so funny, idk why lol The gap is great tho and I literally need that cute little bear sweater for myself! Baby/kids knits are always the cutest
@@typicalbliss i guess that’s half true, in olden times you did pronounce it as it is spelled, but now you pronounce the T and J together like a sort of sch-sound 😅
The reason why save the children sounds a bit weird is because it has long been an amazing charity which does really good work, but unfortunately during COVID, Q-anon people started using the slogan of 'save the children' as a rallying cry/dog whistle, so now it always sounds a lil sus to me, despite the charity being completely unaffiliated with those nutjobs

I literally have to make a million December bows, omg the glitter thread must be gorgeous 🥰
This video is a real lifesaver. I don't have the time for any bigger projects, so the smaller recommendations are perfect, thank you!
Same!! It takes me months to make big projects for others

Stjärna is swedish for star! ✨
I wondered what was up with the giant bow, I was on revelry, too.
What a great guide, super well thought out and not just your standard gift ideas!❤

omg makes me want to knit for next year already! what colours of yarn did you use for your typical fingerless gloves? they're so sweet
I'm here for 😻 in a life preserver!! 💕
These are so cute! I would have loved if you left the photos up much longer in the video so I could really get a good look but still loved the vid!!
Aaahhh thank you for the tip!! I will try to do so in the future!
Im confused on how to start the December bow
I just wish I could stay motivated enough to gift knit for Christmas. I've made 4 pairs of mitts already, with 4 more to make and I'm so over it
Oh that is soo many!! I could never pull that off, good luck
«There’s a J in it I don’t know why» had me chuckle, well it’s called swedish😅
You should open a Cafe and call it "Tiffany Bliss". Then I can tell my friends that I'm having breakfast at "Tiffany's"
YESSSSSSS
The penguin is actually 1 pound
Omg when I made the video it was free but i think the designer changed it :( I’ll update the description
Haha, you do pronounce the J in stjärna (it’s swedish) 🤗✨
Woah

Aw that absolutely sucks, hopefully in the future I can do some charity patterns or notions as well!!
