- Microbiologist Jim Fuller describes the function of a device used to test a flu vaccine developed by in the lab of his wife, Deborah Fuller; she is a professor of microbiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. The "gene gun" delivers vaccine-coated gold particles into cells via the epidermis.
