In this video, we talk about how to utilize visual cues to help you control both the glide path and the runway extended Center Line when you fly an approach.
Hello Captain Asiri, What a nice surprise to see you have make a new video. But more then that is what you are showing us is top of knowledge. A total new approach for me to try to land the plane with this new knowledge in mind. Of course I know it look so simple but from my practice I'am aware how difficult it's. But now I hope having one tool more to final rich my goal to land the plane myself in stead of autoland most of the time. I'ts so frustrating to see all the Flightsim Captains land there plane so easy. Thank you again for taking the time to inspire the pilots and also making flying a step saferin real live. Bye bye and see you next time. Greetings from The Netherlands!
@@AbdulmuatiAsiri37 Hello Mister, Nice to read that you appreciate it but keep in mind your lessons are priceless and I always must think about your FO what a privelegd position they get. 😎Kind regards
İ am in type rating training and your videos are really helpful. Thank you for your help. I hope you make another video about transition and landing as soon as possible. Thank you.
Hello Mustafa, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I wish you all the best in your initial. Unfortunately I am leaving for one month on a vacation so I will not be able to upload it quick enough for you. But listen send me an e-mail with any question you have abdulmuati37@gmail.com. Or if you like we can set up a video conference to answer any question you have it would be my Pleasure. Abdul
so happy to see you again Capt Asiri. Love the way you explain the things. Your practical tips and examples are so helpful to understand the situation. sir, wanted to know how the parameters usually set for landing i.e distance from threshold & speed adjustment - at what nm how the flaps and landing gear are deployed for the landing. thank you so much. looking forward for further informative videos. Happy landings!
Hello CApt. Dr.Prankaj, Sorry for the laaaaaattttteeee response, really I was checking the video and I was shocked that I did not respond. here is my answer to your questions: - In the 737 you should start slowing from the threshold about 20nm or so start decelerating from 240 or 250 to up speed. That is considering you are doing continuous descend. - at about Up speed plus 20 or so you go F1, when you have LE Slats green light you go F5, 3nm from the final approach fix Gear down F15, 1nm from the FAF F30 that is usually the way of extending the flaps and gear. Hope this info help, thanks for the great question and sorry again for the late response. All the best Abdul
@@AbdulmuatiAsiri37 Thank you so much for the explanation. I learnt so many things from your videos. Very precise and with practical tips that I have not come across. You are a very good pilot with knowledge and good person too. Thanks , have many happy landings!
In the us im told visual transition is at 200 feet agl and 800 feet agl if its a visual landing im not a instructor follow your company procedure am i right
You know I can’t answer that with certainty, we have wide RW, and all the RW are paved yes. Few special air fields have narrow RW. Sorry did not answer your question I don’t have my charts with me currently
Hey how real is PMDG 737 compared to Real 737 in terms of 1. System depth? 2. Flight dynamics? I know you cannot emulate real flight dynamics due to limitations of FSX/P3D but still would love to know your view on above two aspect!
Hello Swapnil, The short answer to your question PMDG have done a great job, but as you said it can belike the real thing. 1- System depth, the switches the lights the indications are very good. The CDU is amazing, and it lacks a few features that I noticed, not a big deal for normal pilots. 2- The flight dynamics, all good the only thing I noticed was the decent and deceleration while leveling off those two areas are a bit off from the real airplane as far as simulation goes. I believe PMDG can improve this aspect. Thanks for the questions and feel free to ask any other questions or share your opinion. All the best Abdul
Hello Inge, Yes in a crosswind landing like this you will apply rudder to straighten the airplane with the RW then flight controls into the wind. Actually, I am working on a video now to talk about crosswind landings, stay tuned. Let me know if you have any other questions or comments. All the best Abdul
Great video. Thanks captain!
Thank you 🙏🏼

In your country are runways minimum 150 feet wide and paved. Are taxi ways minimum 75 feet wide i belive here in the us its the standard thankyou

Greetings captain! I noticed that all the videos were recorded from the co-pilot's seat. I wonder why?))
Hello
Most of the viewers are new First Officers. So just to give them the real perspective, most of the videos are done from the right seat 😊.
