      You do realize it's not the direct responsibility of the Office of the POTUS to respond to university, local unrest right? That would be campus security first, then local PD, then the governor of the state, then BIG IF things really spiral the governor may request federal aid. Why are you blaming the President?

      I totally agree. If your actions or causes require you to hide your identity, you need reprimanded and/or arrested because you are up to no good.       Look at the donors. The biggest donor of our schools is Qatar, who fund Hamas. The top ten are non allied nations, we let countries that we won’t even be allies with to have their hands in educating our youth

      The issue is she’s a junior. She would probably have to go another two years at another college to graduate and that’s if she can get into one for next year.
      A lot of colleges require a minimum number of credits from their school to graduate. Now granted Columbia is probably twice the price of the average school if not more so she actually might come out on top money wise.

    Well, I guess it's time to sue the university for not meeting their obligations. Security is one of them. Students need to sue the universities for their lack of security and let the Universities pay for the full tuition of their students who felt threatened! Then sue the students who made this happen!

      Don't forget the "professors" that helped the "protests" along. After all, the students are just chanting what they learned from these professors. The administrators are former professors that taught the current professors who were students at the time. But above all we have to find the people/organization that is organizing, funding, logistics, notifying, and giving the instructions to the students and the outside agitators.

      They should also sue the university for the fact that they went to Columbia and invested the time in a considerable amount of money in part because of the education they would get which has been disrupted, and in part because there was prestige in having a degree from colombia.     Personally I believe that the Jewish students should sue Columbia College into bankruptcy. Columbia hasn't protected them or the Christian students. The students have paid thousands of dollars for a prestigious degree which is now not worth it. 😊

    I went to college in the US in the mid 1990's and I was warned before entering about the anti-American, anti-Western, anti-Semitic, and anti-Christian philosophies of the professors. They were the norm even then. Every professor I had made it clear about their distain for the West. Professors who have spoken up have stated that it was a prerequisite for tenure to hold these views. It is no surprise that anti-Western sentiment has captured all of our institutions.

      @@KetinUSA That makes sense since Diversity Equity and Inclusion has its roots in the civil rights movement of the 1960s when anti-American sentiments started to take off.
      As the United States emerged as a global superpower after WW2, some countries and intellectuals began to view it with skepticism, criticizing its perceived imperialism, capitalism, and cultural influence. The Vietnam War made things worse, so I imagine anti-American sentiment was really starting to take off in the 1970s.

    Columbia and other "elite" universities have not been dedicated to academic excellence for years. A SAT score is no longer required for admission. Everything is controlled by DEI - and almost everyone gets an A grade in their course work. Sad!!

    The problem is all universities, are getting a bad reputation, parents are rethinking the college educated student ideology, for their children. I look to the trend I see, to a call for trade and career training schools instead. This has been tainting universities over the past decades. These tenured professors that can't be fired!? Who thought of that "brilliant" idea!!!??? Then they start teaching their own narrative, ideology, and radical philosophy!!! Given too much power and it sounds like they need to torn up from the floor up, in their administration and teaching staff, professors need to undergo an extensive background check for extreme activism activity Especially the foriegn professors that are not citizens here, but are in the teaching construct!!!

    I agree these protests should have been stopped from the beginning. Unfortunately colleges did not heed the warning and now they have a big problem on their hand with these protests spreading to over 150 colleges. This is now a huge mob movement with a lot of protesters. If this student calls on Congress to stop these protesters the government is going to have to use a lot of force to bring this under control. If the government uses the national guard or even the army to try to stop these protests and the protesters arm themselves and fight back we are going to have a second civil war where thousands of people are going to get killed in an all out war battle against these protesters.

    First hand account (close family member): big Wall St. firms are already discussing not hiring anyone from Columbia, NYU or Harvard. And they will be doing a ‘deep dive’ checking all of the applicants’ accounts using AI. Same thinking in big law firms.

    I appreciate my degree from a small state school! I was able to go on to graduate school and come out with a profession. I’m older now and retired 8 years.

    I can tell you that in my industry, officially we are treating students from these colleges with suspicion, but in practice we are not even considering them, basically because there are plenty of other applicants to consider from other colleges.
    In the real world, nobody in HR wants to be responsible for hiring a trouble-maker.

    I am a parent and have kids in high school. I wouldn't be very pleased if my children messed up their future when I have spent so much time and time on them. I wouldn't like it at all.
