    Can't wait to no longer have to buy overpriced GPU's and just rock iGPU's like the Steam Deck.

    From my understanding G-Sync and Free Sync are both a form of VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), where as long as your FPS is under your refresh rate, the monitor itself will match its refresh rate to your frame rate essentially syncing up your refresh and frame rate theoretically eliminating screen tearing. VRR is the most generic being built-in to the HDMI spec, and Free Sync is a bit simpler version of G-Sync, and G-Sync does some other fancy stuff to your display lowering latency and eliminating screen tearing but sometimes at the cost of performance.

      A lot of people fail to mention that this doesn't just work for games. It's perfect for watching videos. I'm always using it when watching stuff on RUclips, it's so good. As for games, good luck finding a game that benefits from it as the latency can make games unplayable. 2X is best for Minecraft as 3X & 4X is really delayed. Some games have locked frame rates like Elden Ring so this would be great for games like that, especially if you use a controller as the perceived latency won't be as noticeable. It's worth it just for watching video content alone tho so I'd strongly recommend getting Lossless Scaling

    its because you have limited fps and your gpu is probably capable of way more frames so it has most of its compute units free and FG is using those in full performance thats why its great if you are in a game that utilize your gpu on 99% it will not be that great and low latency

    • @TheInchii
      @TheInchii 27 дней назад

      Cannot agree. I have 4080, I tried it with enshrouded on 3440x1440cwith everything on full was giving me from 60-110fps ans my GPU usage was around 90-95% and used X3 GPU went 97-99% and bam 150fps. Thing is that if your GPU hits 99% with 60-70fps, limit the game to like 30-40fps which will cause GPU usage to drop and use X3 or X4 and bam all magic. 30fps and more is totally fine for smooth and low latency experience.

      i think the LS1 upscaler inegrated into Lossless Scaling for me usually has better results than RSR and is also more versatile and i can also use it while having Image Sharpening on in the Adrenaline Driver and in my experience that leaves for better results and an sharper image. AFMF 2 is great and have been using it lately to experiment a lot and compare it to LSGF 2 X2 since i have been using it since 2.0 came out. For under 60 fps LSGF 2 is far superior to AFMF 2 but if you go beyond that AFMF 2 can produce a more stable image and as soon as you hit around 70 or 80 AFMF 2 starts to look incredibly good and i would also prefer it in these situations.
