Oh man, nostalgia! My very first system set was the angler fish aqua raiders set! I still wish I could've gotten more of these sets other than the angler, tiger shark and lobster sets.. Or that lego had continued the line...,
I recently acquired this set from a friend and I was just gushing over it. Half of it was in parts but I noticed it when I saw the backend some what still intact
Some cool pieces on the Submarine... shame they are yellow, not sure yellow is my favourite colour of LEGO brick :-) Although I do need to build a giraffe!

That is the exact same design that the game developers of Lego Batman the Video Game used as The Penguin’s Submarine boss fight.
Always loved the design of the crab! I never owned this set, but it always stood out to me. Nice to see a review here.

they had continued the theme, but with atlantis, which was a sequel...
Had this when I was at least 6 years old, still have all the figures somewhere in the lego bucket.

I think that those tanks might be ballast tanks, which allow submarines to sink easily and detach to make the submarine rise very quickly

Maniac4Bricks the strurtre at the top is the conning tower, the missle is a torpedo, and the fin is a rudder
I can actually imagine lego using the aqua raiders as a theme for ninjago villains, they don't exactly look like the nicest crew...
