Johnny Thunder and the Adventurers: The Lost Treasure of Ancient Greece (2002 online) walkthrough

- The second of two puzzle games based off of the LEGO Adventurers theme from during the hiatus between the Dino and Orient Expedition sub-themes, originally hosted on LEGO.com in 2002. Johnny Thunder and Pippin Reed get a telegram from Dr. Kilroy to come to Greece, where he believes he's found part of a map to Minos Jr's timeout maze. There Johnny must face off against his greatest adversary...that bird. Oh, and Baron Sam Hates Sinister von Barron is there too, I guess.
In the easy mode of this game, treasures floating by in the diving minigame float by much more frequently, and your oxygen runs out slower. In the laberynth, the entire map is lit up rather than only showing you the area close to you. In the climbing minigame your water runs out much slower, and rocks fall slower as well (the birds move at the same speed however). The four-across minigame seems to be the same, maybe the Minotaur's AI is easier but I couldn't tell.
Developed by the apparently now-defunct Titoonic.
Video has English subtitles.

"Oh, there should be a law, against what I'm about to do. Oh wait...there is...oh well."
I loved that line!
nostalgia hit for sure
Dear Lord almighty, I haven't thought about Johnny Thunder in over a decade. I loved playing this game when I was younger.
So nostalgic, I loved Adventurers and really wish Lego would make another series featuring Johnny Thunder and the rest of the gang someday.
It’s the double bass during Sam sinister’s scenes that I love
Ah, yes. Those old days of playing those flash games. Sure takes me back.
"I'll be waiting for you as well, Jonny boy. Hehehehehe" lmao it hits so different watching that now
The diving sequence is amusingly reminiscent of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
There ought to be a law against what I'm about to do. Oh wait, there is - oh well, who cares? MWAHAHAHAHA
Top notch writing, that!
That's the motto of every archaeologist in the 19th century lol
@@terminator324343 or villains.
16:36 “How Can you listen to this Bull!?” - Some guy to Christopher Lee, who the Voice actor in the game tried to replicate in the clone wars.
Good old nostalgia. Those were (and still are) my favourite childhood flash games. Nice story and even some spooks.
Yep, this game and the one about alpha team are a part of my childhood, and I must say, Sam Sinister is a hilarious jerk.
I remember this... Ah... the memories...
I remember this! Childhood memories.
A ROPE MIGHT COME IN HANDY
Headset Guy LOOK! A KEY!
@@BenLogterman Minotaur: *Growling* Grah!!!
Pippin: It's the Minotaur!
Haaaaah... I still remember playing this all those years back... Johnny Thunder is my childhood-hero...
Those electric eels used to scare the dickens out of me!
The animation and overall quality of the later Adventurers/Alpha Team ones are so much better quality than the earlier LEGO Island ones... I think I remember the second Alpha Team one being quite a step above the first, too, but it's been a while since I last played them.
Wow I feel stupid. As a little kid I didn't know what "give birth" meant so I just assumed they turned his wife into the minotaur lol
Oh god I remember these games way back in the day, I even used to speak the comic dialogue.
God I remember play this when I was a kid
OH MY GOD I was obsessed with this
I thought I saw C-3PO's head at the beginning for a second.
I didn't know you love LEGO Orient Expedition back then.
@@KeeferJ And I didn't know you were into LEGO online games during their times either. But it's great to see you here! I used to play some LEGO online games back in the mid 2000s (such as the ones based on the City theme), but I never played this one. Also, I had physical LEGO video games for the PC when I was a little boy, such as "LEGO Racers" (included with the 2002 Encore "Racing Just for Kids" pack alongside "Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver," "Hot Wheels Crash!" and "Woody Woodpecker Racing"), "LEGO Racers 2" (featured in "Kid's Craze: Race Cars" along with "TONKA Raceway" and "Toon Car: The Great Race"), "LEGO Drome Racers," "LEGOLAND," "LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge" (featured in "All Aboard! Kindergarten Adventures" along with "Freddi Fish 4: The Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch," "Reader Rabbit: I Can Read With Phonics!" and "Toy Story 2: Activity Center"), and "LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts," "LEGO Loco," and "LEGO Rock Raiders" (which were all part of "Kid's Craze: LEGO"). I also had the individual release of the PC version of "LEGO Rock Raiders."
@@CEO100able I miss talking to you, buddy. Have you been busy recently? Didn't you check out my recent comment on you Bigfoot Presents Meteor artwork video?
@@KeeferJ Yes, I have. Things in my family have been industrious for a while, but I did see your latest reply to one of my comments on that slideshow video of mine, and once again, your custom crossover story featuring characters from "TONKA Tales," "Bob the Builder," "Thomas & Friends," and "Jack and the Sodor Construction Company" is decent, and it has a good ending. Nice work! So, please excuse my late reply there. Since this video is about a LEGO online game, I will mention that some of my custom crossover story ideas were inspired by some parts of the "LEGO Island" video game for the PC, alongside the PC and PlayStation 2 versions of the "LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts" video game. I missed speaking to you as well, so it's nice to meet you again!
It did look like it.
I remember getting stuck at that mountain climbing part many years ago and I gave up.
J O H N N Y B O Y
I often wonder how Sam Sinster lost his hand and has a scar on his cheek.
geez, a real huge jump in length for this one. I remembered it being more impressive that the prior ones, but that's really substantial.
did this get linked to somewhere? also i really should redo this showing both easy and hard modes
English subtitles have now been added. Sorry I didn't do that earlier, I'll try to remember to do that with any future games that don't have built-in subtitles/text for spoken dialogue.
You can tell they really wanted to do Indiana Jones. They must not have been able to get the license, so they just made up their own.
I kinda wish they'd stuck with that honestly, now they don't do any themes like this when they can just get any movie rights they want, they don't even do any sort of space sets any more. I guess it sells better but I miss the heart and weirdness of these old themes. oh well.
@@Ringtail I know. I’d buy the rock Raider sets if I could. Had a few when I was a kid, but I never got the compete collection
16:17 I like this Icarus reference.
7:21 The boat driver looks like Dash from Alpha Team.
I never noticed that before but I am absolutely certain that is Dash's head recycled from the Alpha Team comics.
@@Ringtail Or maybe just as a cameo appearance. Or both.
@@georggross1232 maybe he's undercover while working on mission deep sea
did you see baron von baron in the window at the begining
I remember softlocking the game if the game ends in a tie.
I wonder how Sam Sinster lost his hand and how he got that scar.
the guy who plays sam kinda reminds of little Jhon from Disneys robin hood
That bird's out to get me!
That rock almost hit me!
@@BenLogterman Phew, I did it!
My childhood :,)
Is...is that Corey Burton as Sam Sinister?
Farrellbrothers1 It might well be! I'm fairly certain that Andre Stojka is the voice of Dr. Kilroy in these (he was the official voice of Owl for Disney's Winnie the Pooh).
@@knightofalleble9841 oh my gosh that's awesome!! Pretty sure Kath Soucie is Pippin Reed too?? Kanga from Pooh??
@@knightofalleble9841 alright wait is that Rob Paulson as Johnny?? Wtf I'm just now hearing it.
ah fiddlesticks stupid birds
were the voices in this ever credited at all? do we even know who the VAs from this video are?
not as far as I know, people have made guesses but unless it's somewhere in the files or on the site of whoever made this we don't know. a lot of actors in older games are often uncredited, and developers for browser games in general even moreso. i guess people just didn't care back then unfortunately.
@@Ringtail sucks
also i know this is a weird question, but can you help me attempt to find out where infomaniac's original (li1) voice actor is now? :/
@@berrypepperroni7708 Patrick Hagan? I'm not sure, him and Nubby's va are both mysterious. idk if there's anything about them out there
@@Ringtail oh.
also ik this too is weird but can you give me bob conlon's email
i think he emailed someone from the community a few years back and sent them "your bricks are toast" too
@@berrypepperroni7708 i dont know his email or what community he's in sorry
14:58 Look out below!
thanks dude, i tried to actually play this but i tied in the minotaur minigame and the game just...stopped
also earth to all programmers please let your game handle such an outcome
what the hell? what did you do exactly to get it to tie? I've never seen that before, that's weird if it can't handle that
@@Ringtail idk i was playing it and both the minotaur and i got 4 in a row at the same time
(also for the record i mean the definitely-not-connect-4-you-guys minigame as i realize the maze minigame also had a minotaur in it)
@@thunderzizi I managed to get it to tie too and it just froze for me too, good game. thanks for pointing that out.
just found out that if you tie on the connect four segment the game will crash haha
i love games without failsafes
Johnny literally has a pistol in his belt, why didnt he just shoot Sam Sinister
AHHH WATAH!
better than all rayman games
Where can I play this game?!😂
the download and online links are in the description
Jessietail Thanks! 😂
Any chance someone has a saved version they can share? Unfortunately the biomediaproject link is down
they moved all their files to maskofdestiny for some reason. I'll fix the link
@@Ringtail I saw that the link redirects to mask of destiny but the file doesn't appear to be there any longer. Thanks for the quick reply and uploading in the first place! Huge wave of nostalgia from this, "look, a key" is still burned into my memory and I hear it in my head any time I see a key lol
@@TeddiGramz1001 I clicked it and it downloaded it for me. The online uploads are all gone, probably because flash was brutally murdered
@@Ringtail I was able to get it to download by pasting the link in a different browser. Thanks! (RIP flash)

what exactly is posting this on a lego game video supposed to accomplish?
no you know what, I'm gonna say that maybe you should reconsider doing this when here in america we've got some christians actively trying to take away people's rights. like before you try to convince any of us to believe in your god (hopefully with more than just some quotes) maybe you should like, deal with those guys and stop them from doing that and making the rest of you guys look bad by association (assuming you don't agree with them).
