I remember catching this station from DC once.
The name of the song playing was simple gifts.
I remembered the first part of the theme from the "CBS Reports" news specials in the 1970's (and possibly before, but I wouldn't know)

Isn't this the theme from one of those CBS programs from the 50's or 60's like The 21st Century?

We would occasionally use test patterns overnight, when we kept the TX on for whatever reason.

did they used to be an nbc station at one time before switching affiliates?
