Hello Andy, I've had this tool for almost 4 years and it recently gained much more interest since Autel released their upgrade for bi-directional use. You can now perform active tests on vehicle components which is really an improvement.
Drives me nuts as with my 2006 dodge sprinter I never can remember where they hide the steering angle sensor calibration… after 8 hours I managed to find it a few days ago but the other computers decided to reject the new steering angle sensor so I am just trying to go back but I can’t remember where I was to find the steering angle sensor calibration option as it isn’t in the spot where it should be the ESP “Electronic stability program” so dumb that whoever programed my autel maxiM IM508S was not very organized
I know this video is not new but I just bought this one today and a serious question, how good is this for a DIY person? I’m not a professional but I do work on multiple cars here and there and just wondering how well this will serve me. Thank you for reply in advance.
Have had this tool for over a year now and do like it's capabilities for the price point especially since they upgraded it with active tests/bi-directional abilities.

It’s a very intuitive device but it does take some time before you feel comfortable with it.
@ thank you
Next time keep your camera close to de screen to see all steps on the scanner

Do you know if it works on imports like Audi?
@@Hunter-ck4di Yes, my tool does show an icon for Audi.
@@Hunter-ck4di This is what I did for Audi with another brand of comprehensive diagnostic equipment: ruclips.net/video/VqiZQEnZaKM/видео.html .
Would that do a crankshaft sensor relearn??
If you replace your crank sensor on the bell housing it shouldn’t require any relearn. Just clear the code and boogie
I need this. Thanks
