To everyone that was served a GAZILLION ads in this vid - I'm really sorry!! They must have been automatically added by RUclips, it's not something we did... I've switched off all the extra ones now and will check the new uploads next week. I'm now off to Dominique Ansel's bakery in London to pick up a delicious cronut, I'm sure nothing else will go wrong today!! Jamie x
It’s okay we love you.
It's all good all my love xx
thx
I was wondering, but it was a great video! :)
Ah yeah, nothing's going to go wrong with going to that bakery...
Jamie's quiet "I haven't had a gooseberry and vanilla one before", has some big "I don't like it when mummy and daddy fight" energy
Barry really tried with that one
Exactly. Poor boy.
Today's episode, without James and Ben, is like "When parents are not home and the boys get to order food online by themselves".
When the parents go out without u and leave u money for pizza
@@Lilian040210 *and leave you too much money for more than pizza
The loser is actually the audience cause we can't eat any of it
Especially those of us not in the London area...
Thank you! I was sitting here trying to figure out how to say that, and then found 'your' Comment! I'm like having a massive pitty party here...wishing for even one of those items in today's video! : (
@@jjo5375 since we’re throwing a pity party anyway. Waaah I can’t eat any of it because I’m breastfeeding a baby with allergies. One day all the dairy and soy will be mine!!!! (Yeah. I’m pathetic)
@@CordeliaRavenwood Absolutely you are NOT! You're a momma, sweetie, and all-too-soon, to be a "MOMMM" to a trusting, pain-in-the-neck youngster, then teen. "Pathetic?" Naw. (give your little bundle a cuddle for me). : )
@@CordeliaRavenwood so 7 months later what was ur first dairy and/or soy dish?
Jamie is winning at life, someone else does the hard work and he gets lunch. Lots of lunch.
Jamie did very well out of this video. Lots and lots of lunch!
@@SortedFood I bet Jamie was still hungry afterwards.
Lunch and paid to eat it too. #dreamjob
@Craven Moorehead James isn't pretentious!! (Although, for a Scot, his accent is!!). He's salty and sassy. And we love him that way!!
Mate that’s just going out to eat shshsh
You guys are not just supporting the local restaurants but also keeping us entertained by posting regularly regardless of the current situation in our world.. Love you guys ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, comments like this really do mean a lot to the whole team!
Does 'local restaurants' include 'anything and everything in London of 11 million population'? I'm not so sure what's terribly local about a delivery service you heard about from an Uber driver.
@@AlanHope2013 I think the point is they're not chains like a TGI Fridays (or whatever the British equivalent would be). Local standalone have a tighter margin to operate on, meaning that they are the ones struggling the most right now.
@@AlanHope2013 I think their choices were creative, original, off the beaten path, and the exact definition of local. It wasn't a delivery service, it's an authentic family restaurant.
@@AlanHope2013 the delivery service isnt the one doing the cooking, the restaurants are local even if they live in a big city
Suggestions:
Chef vs Chef battle: 12 course meal. They both get a normal to help. Mike Judges. The whole menu has to fit a central theme.
Pass it on comfort food. Order: Hand size smallest to largest.

What happens when the three normals are left to make a video: let’s make other people cook for us
No chefs around to be judged 😂
@@SortedFood I think its more when Jamie is in charge of the video. He knows if he has the others cooking for him, he's only going to get 2 dishes and its going to take 3 hours. But if he has them order it, he gets 6 dishes in under an hour!
Shoutout to the Punjabi Uber Driver that Mike knows. Bless him!
He knows his food for sure!

Pretty much 😂
@@SortedFood I just say keep the videos coming, I'm cooking more than I have in years based off the inspiration from you guys.
Everything looked delicious however, Mike hit everyone of my highpoint. He also built a whole journey with his food selections, ending with dessert. Well played, sir!
I totally agree. Mike should have won.
I feel you.
@@whiteowl4097 we all know that the real winner was Jamie.
I agree with Mike winning the first round, but I have to say, I don't think burgers are as instagrammable as poke bowls and I'm glad Barry won. It's just that burgers have been around in all variations for as long as social media has been, and I just scroll past burgers at this point.
As for the third round? I personally would have killed for that croissant but you have to admit that Barry knew how to win over Jamie's heart/stomach with pork, and iberico at that, come on!
@@sirBrouwer Oh so true. The man is genius when it comes to getting free and good food. I love him for that ability.
The shirt game from Jamie and Mike in this video is STRONG
Mike with Paper and Sharpie and Barry with an iPad and an iPhone. Enough said. If I was to select, I’d eat Six Dishes too.....for Research Purposes.
And somehow Barry still got the numbers wrong,. He basically had two calculator devices. 😂
FionaValerie21 It’s to be added to a ‘Barry Being Barry’ Compilation.
Barry should DEFINITELY go "my turn in the chair", so at least you can support 6 more local spots haha
maybe set Ben and James to pick next time
Jamie Paul Romanio Spafford, the Eater Personality is a delight to watch.
Quarantine by the sea It’s an achievement in life to know the Sorted boys’ full names on command.
Quarantine by the sea What’s in a name? That which we call Jamie by any other name would still seem hungry as ever.

😂
"London is the best place in the world" I'm moving to London soon and I'm scared shitless. But it is nice to know I can get food from my mother land.

This made my day, literally had nihari yesterday!
@@table4glasses I would recommend, it's a must try dish
Ok hear me out, pass it on tag team style. There’s two teams(2v2, 3v3, whatever), both are tasked to cook a dish under a theme like pasta. When one teammate goes in to cook the other can’t see what’s happening and then they switch. They keep doing this till an hour is over. After the two teams have finished their dishes you have someone judge which one was better. This is just a basic idea I came up with but It sounds super fun. I’ll probably be posting this on a couple more videos.
Edit: they could add a chef on each team to cause kind of a power difference(as it won’t be that big as our “normals” are far from normal). But if the chefs wanted to add something elevated he would either have to do it himself or pray his other team members know what he’s trying to make.
How about the three normals against the two chefs, but the chefs don't get a third man - the kitchen is empty for those turns.
Either that, or the chefs get a true normal (like me, or a celeb) for their third man, and have to leave as many clues as possible. I nominate Ryan Reynolds for chimichangas!
Adam Robinson Ohhh that sounds like a fun idea! Also yes for Ryan Reynolds! He would be a great feature on Sorted and bring great humor too! And for true normals you were talking about, they could probably use the other staff members on Sorted as they’ve seen how to cook something but they haven’t got nearly as much practice and muscle memory as the other guys.
I read the instructions in Janice’s voice 😂
Leif Concepcion oh my god yesss
Not gonna lie, when you said takeaway battle on Instagram, I thought the normals were all gonna have to recreate their favourite takeaways
Is this just "Can Jamie eat £100 worth of food by himself" ... Obviously yes 😂 he just looks so happy!
Altai .C , he shared!
I know you guys always try to focus on us, the audience, but doing the Instagram thing and it being the deciding vote is some next level audience interaction and deserves comments as such.
Thank you, we're glad you liked that part. Did you take part in the vote?
@@SortedFood I sadly did not, as I don't do much with instagram, but I can still appreciate it for all those that did. Keep up the great work.
@@SortedFood halfway through the video, I realized I'd voted in that poll. ...And now I don't remember which I picked! I remember it being a tough choice though
"So wowzers, we're not gonna fit in our trousers"
This week's Dad Joke of the Week brought to you by Mike 😂
I am absolutely overjoyed seeing Pakistan and Lahore being represented my home city. Thank you for making my dad lads.
You mean day instead of dad. 😅
Feels like a dad joke in the comments.
C'mon, that lobster burger should have won!! There are days that I wish I was Jamie. Today is one of those days.
I suspect everything you guys eat is cold. Do you ever get to tuck into warm food while filming?
Especially considering the poke bowl contains no Poke (marinaded fish chopped into cubes)
Trust Jamie to come up with a video Idea where lunch is a "work expense"
As someone that's living off Deliveroo takeaway, this is gonna be interesting
What are your favourite dishes and from where?
@@SortedFood oof tough one cause I'm down in Brighton and you lot are up in LDN but I'll go on anyway in case anyone needs suggestions while they're down here.
There's this place called Lovefit Café that are basically the reason I actually lost a lot of weight in quarantine. They measure out macros and calories and managed to stay dialled into the diet even when my personal method of buying stuff right before I need to cook failed. They do an amazing Mexican Chicken.
Kokoro's Katsu Curry is amazing but a slightly smaller shop with amazing katsu but especially if you want some super authentic ramen, is Shogun Ramen.
The Chilli Pickle is genuinely good Indian food and that's coming from an Indian who typically looks down on british indian food. Their biryani threw me back home when I was stuck out of home's borders cause covid.
Bad Boys Burgers have the best Jerk Chicken burger in the city, hands down. They allow total customization of burgers and have just switched to potato buns so you get that Shake Shack bun with better, fresher local ingredients. And if you're good with spice, the Bad Boys burger is the one.
VIP (Very Italian Pizza) have their own farm where they produce their own cheeses and hams and other cold cuts. That sour dough base is amazing and since Jamie likes a good story, they established their first shop in 1845 and are a family-run business that's spanned 5 generations.
SMASH Burger, they make smash burgers somewhat unsurprisingly. They also do really good milkshakes and fries so that's always a plus. That's a good cheat meal right there.
And finally, a personal fave, its Tortilla. They make Californian style burritos and tacos and I swear to god that carnitas burrito bowl has some of the juiciest meat ever. Again, totally customizable filling wise, both with tacos and burritos
@@BTBSOUNDS I was down in brighton too up until quarantine and Brighton has a LOT of great takeaway
I havent had everything that you have but I can definitely recommend VIP and Smash Burger. They are both very high quality, and smash burger has great packaging and the little goodie bag of hygine and seasonings is very nice
I found Lovefit far too pricey for something that I could do if I could just buy it- but fair enough if you can't leave your house
But my favourite by far has to be Yefsis of Greece. They buy their produce locally with very fresh ingredients, and cater to people from any background or diet. My favourite from them were, what they call on their deliveroo menu "Hunger platters" where you can probably feed 3 or have leftovers for day, have a big tray of meat, a big tray of pitta and well seasoned chips, and then a big box seasoned of salad and a hunk of feta
@@BTBSOUNDS I now want to move to Brighton.
@@BTBSOUNDS I also live in Brighton and am a big fan of The Chilli Pickle and VIP. Tortilla is a good bet too, I imagine it's close to what Americans rave about with Chipotle.
I've been intending to try Bad Boys Burgers in a while, I'll make sure to try the jerk chicken burger!
I ate in-restaurant at Smash burger once and was not impressed. It was very expensive for a very average burger.
I'd recommend Halisco for Mexican street-food. It has a great relaxed vibe with laid back staff with cool decor and the food is fantastic.
Even here you can see how pretentious Barry is in the fact he uses his Apple Pencil instead of a real pencil 😂❤️
Well a real pencil isn't going to get you very far on an iPad
I've seen this comment somewhere else
How about a chef vs chef where they can only use a microwave
“We are really good at these battles when we are not cooking”
I sometimes wonder how good things are if only because Mike seems like he'd go nuts with delight eating a tire.
IMO Mike should have won. The lobster burger had me. the croissant at the end had me. The first one looked awesome, wish I could have tried it.
It looked better on RUclips than it did on Instagram, and that was the whole point of the second round.
I feel like it's only fair the 2 chefs get a chance to recreate/challenge these dishes when they get back from their countryside retreat
Opening with Jamie, Mike, Barry screams "The Chefs have left. The time of the Normals has come!"
Mikes dishes received such strong positive reactions right off the bat. He should have won in my book! Also its amazing that yall are donating the extra $ the gesture is so kind.
Kouign amann is one of the traditional desserts of French Brittany, Dominique Ansel didn't invent it, maybe credit us also ? :,(
"us"? What did you personally contribute?
@@gerdkronsteig7469 Well that's where I was born and raised, where I've lived for my whole life, so that's my culture, hence why I associate with it ?
I know i was like... They mention what everything else was from so... mention us? And also it's not in a muffin form normally ! Either way it was nice to see one on sorted 😊
One of the unsung benefits of delivery apps is that you get to discover new restuarents and foods, things you might never have found just walking around.
I'm so glad that Mike choose Pakistani cuisine Lahore Nihari, I felt so validated at Sorted show. Thanks guys huge thumbs up
Where is James? He’s not been in a video for ages!!
If 2 weeks is ages...

Please do a Low Fodmap challenge! It's interesting to explore and see how it can improve gut health and lower IBS symptoms.
And also make sure you sachets of some probiotics there lol
Would be interesting indeed!
I agree with the results but if I had to choose based on the flavor reactions, Mike's lobster burg would prolly win with me.
I’ve had a Kouign-Amman before and they are 💯 to die for, off the charts EPIC
@@matthieusieredzki4030 Yep, it has nothing to do with a croissant.
They should really tried to order one directly from Britanny. (The ones made by Maison Larnicol are quite good. And, they ship to the UK)
When I visit London for the first time, I'm going to agonize over where to eat. So many fantastic restaurants!
There are so many hidden gems, we're very lucky!
Here's one contest for you, "Regional Dishes from the UK", pick a region and make a dish, but everything has to be as if served in a fancy restaurant, plating included.
Pass it on challenge „trifle“, sweet or savory, each three layers with minimum height, in a big glass bowl...please 🙏😉❤️
Well, now we know what happens when you give Jamie too much power.

Awesome work as always chaps. I’m now officially hungry. As an aside, I’d be interested to see your guys take on the Too Good To Go app. In London there are bountiful options for the app which promotes saving food waste by offering their produce at a reduced rate. Would be fascinated to get your guys take on it as food waste is something you’ve covered on the podcast before.
Awesome suggestion :)
The little photography click editing segments are very welcomed. They're spicy and I like it. Well done team.
Did not expect the first dish served to be Nihari! Glad you guys liked it!!
So good!
Congratulations, Barry James Taylor!
But Michael Brian Hutlestone wins in the Maths Round 😂
Oh my god Kouign-Amann!!! It's my entire childhood. My family went to the same place in Brittany for 16 years in a row, and everytime, we'd buy one Kouign-Amann as a symbol for the holiday. It's been almost a decade since I haven't been to that place, but I'll defend the Kouign-Amann as one of the greatest pastries ever created until I draw my last - hopefully pastry-flavoured - breath.
If you've never tried the scented versions, you're missing out.
"Maison Larnicol" sells single portion versions called Kouignettes with a lot of flavors (Almonds, salted butterscotch, raspberry, chocolate ganache, ...).
I have been waiting for this all day. Need the laughs
Hopefully we deliver 😉

We've had Chinese and Japanese battles. And a curry battle. It would be cool if they researched some more cuisines they are unfamiliar with and do a battle. Like Mexican, Russian, or the multitude of African cuisines.
Can you please try out different air fryers and show us recipes!
OMG! The jian bing (gee-an bing) is a breakfast/ snack/ street food in China. It's so delicious. I've rarely heard of them outside of China so you guys are lucky to have a place nearby that makes them. However, I'm sure the amount of crunch you had wasn't anything compared to if you'd just eaten it fresh off of the girl. I'd love you to learn more about the dish and use it for a BATTLE!
PS I'm glad Barry won. Mike was cheating with the cronut! Why not use the budget you had and pay for it with the "extra" money? You made Barry look bad when he was fully inside the rules of the challenge.
Pass it on: Philly Cheesesteak with fries.
Neither of my notifications on my RUclips channels have alerted me about your videos and I'm so sad I missed out on so many! Thought you all must have stopped cause of COVID 😭😍
Hey guys!! Have you managed to grab any of the vegan goodies from Iceland (the shop) yet? I'd love to see that video xD
oooh shopping from Iceland or Picard would be a great video!
Barry using an iPad VS Mike with a iPhone and pen and paper...pretentious or not?
You decide! 😂
I just finished breakfast (it's 10am here) but I'm salivating and want all those things in my mouth right now.
Come to London bro and you will be drowned in the diverse food we've got in London 🙌🏿
I would, but unfortunately the apocalypse is going on, and I don't know if travel restrictions are lifted yet. ☹️
Kouign-amann, originally a Breton dish, is delicious. In Brittany and Normandy you can find many differently topped kouign-amann, salted caramel being popular in Normandy, and they are usually served warm. They also have a smaller bite sized friend called a kouignette.
This is spaffordfood.....i mean sortedfood....
Actually im unsure which ones right!
Suggestion: As a follow up to this battle, you guys should do a to-go/delivery battle where you try to get the best dish possible with the lowest price! Lowest amount spent wins, but there are requirements to what the dish has to contain.
This past spring I study abroad in Brittany, France and had my first Kouign Amann (the birthplace of this pastry). They are soooo delicious and like nothing else I’ve ever tasted! I’d love to see the sorted team try and recreate one!
Do a calorie guessing challenge
my area doesn't have as many fancy restaurants as london but this did encourage me to have a second look and try something new
This was such a revealing episode. Thanks for sharing!
Follow-up - Barry and Mike have to make all the dishes they bought for this battle!
That burger looked SO GOOD
In London, everything is so expensive that 20 pence is a significant difference 😂
This is a cool format! Some ideas for the next version - looking for places with sustainable containers, a vegetarian or vegan round!
I fully expected the end of the video to me, "we're still getting lunch, right?" 😂😂😂
I approve of supporting local businesses, but don't ubereats and deliver take 20-30%, which is most of the profit margin for a restaurant meaning you are essentially supporting big digital companies that don't treat their staff very well (and hardly pay any tax). Better still to get a takeaway from a restaurant itself, even if that has a less appealing title.
Battles, the perfect mix of competition and social distancing haha
I really liked this format
If you support restaurants don't use delivery services like Ubereats, or Postmates, or skip the dishes. These services are strangling restaurants by charging upwards of 30% of each order. Order directly with the restaurant and use their in house delivery service or pick it up yourself.
i gained 3 pounds just by looking at mike's third dish and then another 5 when I heard what it was
How about taking certain ingredients or dishes that you aren't particularly fond of and adapting them in a way that makes them delicious. Personally boiled Brussels aren't the best thing in the world but when you pan fry them with some lardons and balsamic they are a must with a roast dinner
Mike is like your friend who eats a lot of food but is surprisingly fit😂🤣🤣
He was hardcore dieting a while ago so I'm guessing he doesn't get away with it all that much xD
It's 1am. I have NO idea what the point of this video is but now I'm hungry for food that isn't open let alone in my country.
Hey! Mike’s back in front of the camera 😀
I think this video happened cuz ben and james left the boys to figure out for a video on their own and they were feeling lazy to cook ;)
Clearly they are working smarter 😂
guess we're the real losers because we don't live in London.
Did you guys not put the cilantro/peppers/ginger/lemon/fried onions on the nihari? That's literally like eating ramen with noodles and nothing else!
Can't believe I am wayyy so early this time! As usual, just passing my days by binge-watching sortedfood videos. wish you guys could make more videos in a week, maybe every other day? hikhik. much love! 💙
I just had myself some takeaways today, 'cause as you said, to support the local restaurant 🙊 (or yeah, maybe i'm just too lazy to cook and i really wanted to eat molten/fondant cake which i dont think I'm capable of making them 😹but i know you guys did and could make them! haahha)
What did you go for with your takeaway?
@@SortedFood I had Kuey teow goreng mamak from local Mamak stall here in Perak, Malaysia (it's Malaysian dish, It's so simple but so nyummy! It's fried flat rice noodle and i like it mamak-style as there's typically cucur udang (prawn fritters) and tofu in it, love it 😊 have you all tried it or maybe cook it before? 🤓 I also had pizza hut takeaways specifically for the molten lava cake for dessert 🙊
I would love to see a Chef vs Restaurant challenge. The chef could create a dish that is also ordered from a restaurant. Then, everyone can guess which dish the chef created.
For the next pass it on:
A while back I suggested “pass it on: all the items that were total fails”
So I did my research, and here are ten items that were so bad they transcended food and became memes.
1- Barry’s sugar-free rhubarb and lime sauce
2- deep fried leek rings
3- extreme cayenne pepper pineapple salad
4- minty jersey royal roasted potatoes
5- poached eggs
6- cloud eggs
7- blowtorch roasted red peppers
8- cheese stuffed sliders, served as a desert
9- pineapple cheeseburgers
10- a tasty pasta sauce made out of cauliflower deep-fry batter
So, the challenge is to make a dish using as many as possible, minimum, four :)
Order: Most romantic date… as chose by Janice.
I just realized the 30p Barry didn't donate here was used to buy the curry paste from that budget Pass It On!
The Chefs are out.....so the Normals order in.
Nice to see Mike back in front of the camera :)
Jamie wins. A lot. ♥️
u guys should make this video again, but with the chefs!
Jamie and his happy belly at the end 😆
