@@AlanHope2013 I think the point is they're not chains like a TGI Fridays (or whatever the British equivalent would be). Local standalone have a tighter margin to operate on, meaning that they are the ones struggling the most right now.

Ok hear me out, pass it on tag team style. There’s two teams(2v2, 3v3, whatever), both are tasked to cook a dish under a theme like pasta. When one teammate goes in to cook the other can’t see what’s happening and then they switch. They keep doing this till an hour is over. After the two teams have finished their dishes you have someone judge which one was better. This is just a basic idea I came up with but It sounds super fun. I’ll probably be posting this on a couple more videos. Edit: they could add a chef on each team to cause kind of a power difference(as it won’t be that big as our “normals” are far from normal). But if the chefs wanted to add something elevated he would either have to do it himself or pray his other team members know what he’s trying to make.
How about the three normals against the two chefs, but the chefs don't get a third man - the kitchen is empty for those turns. Either that, or the chefs get a true normal (like me, or a celeb) for their third man, and have to leave as many clues as possible. I nominate Ryan Reynolds for chimichangas!

Awesome work as always chaps. I’m now officially hungry. As an aside, I’d be interested to see your guys take on the Too Good To Go app. In London there are bountiful options for the app which promotes saving food waste by offering their produce at a reduced rate. Kouign-amann, originally a Breton dish, is delicious. In Brittany and Normandy you can find many differently topped kouign-amann, salted caramel being popular in Normandy, and they are usually served warm. They also have a smaller bite sized friend called a kouignette.

And also make sure you sachets of some probiotics there lol
Would be interesting indeed!
i always get weirdly proud when bone daddies feature anywhere. worked for 2 of their restaurants over 2 summers, stellar food!!
Pass it on: Philly Cheesesteak with fries.
Videos like these highlight how good the editors over at Sorted are. Well done editors!
Thank you, that's very kind of you to say so, we think they're pretty good too!
Awesome work as always chaps. I’m now officially hungry. As an aside, I’d be interested to see your guys take on the Too Good To Go app. In London there are bountiful options for the app which promotes saving food waste by offering their produce at a reduced rate. Would be fascinated to get your guys take on it as food waste is something you’ve covered on the podcast before.
Awesome suggestion :)
Gave this video a like because I love that you guys are supporting local shops, the food looks amazing and importantly you guys looked like you had fun. x
Follow-up - Barry and Mike have to make all the dishes they bought for this battle!
I've been rewatching Sorted videos for a few weeks now and it's always a joy to rediscover funny moments :D
Congratulations, Barry James Taylor!
But Michael Brian Hutlestone wins in the Maths Round 😂
These are awesome! So cool of yinz supporting local restaurants through all of this.
* You know you guys have to do an ultimate _style_ battle where you get one or more kits/dishes from around you and do it up with your own ingredients.
Maybe even a two-er with normals and then chefs?!
I am absolutely overjoyed seeing Pakistan and Lahore being represented my home city. Thank you for making my dad lads.
You mean day instead of dad. 😅
Feels like a dad joke in the comments.
Kouign-amann, originally a Breton dish, is delicious. In Brittany and Normandy you can find many differently topped kouign-amann, salted caramel being popular in Normandy, and they are usually served warm. They also have a smaller bite sized friend called a kouignette.
IMO Mike should have won. The lobster burger had me. the croissant at the end had me. The first one looked awesome, wish I could have tried it.
It looked better on RUclips than it did on Instagram, and that was the whole point of the second round.
I LOVE when Barry gets excited. He's like an adorable Chihuahua in human form! 😆❤️
Battles, the perfect mix of competition and social distancing haha
I actually loved this! Please do more of this challenge. I'm discovering more places in London!
I fully expected the end of the video to me, "we're still getting lunch, right?" 😂😂😂
I really liked this video!! Its like the food truck and the night out videos but good for covid times 😊 id love to see another like this!
I just finished breakfast (it's 10am here) but I'm salivating and want all those things in my mouth right now.
Come to London bro and you will be drowned in the diverse food we've got in London 🙌🏿
I would, but unfortunately the apocalypse is going on, and I don't know if travel restrictions are lifted yet. ☹️
This channel is literally the only thing that makes me want to live in London. All 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 food 👏🏻 all 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 time!
I have been waiting for this all day. Need the laughs
Hopefully we deliver 😉
SORTEDfood - You always do
I have never been so jealous of Jamie ;)
@@SortedFood Ooooooooooooooooooooooh
Yay a new video! I love you guys! I recently lost my job do to covid and am struggling with getting ahold of unemployment so i’m stressed out to the max but i can always smile and relax when i watch you guys. I have a culinary degree and I come here to learn more and be inspired even more.
Even here you can see how pretentious Barry is in the fact he uses his Apple Pencil instead of a real pencil 😂❤️
Well a real pencil isn't going to get you very far on an iPad
Fun! Do this again but switch up the categories and line up. Love this idea
Sorted Sunday’s are Magical days!!!!
love when you show off food places in london. Like in this video and "londons best" videos.
Can't believe I am wayyy so early this time! As usual, just passing my days by binge-watching sortedfood videos. wish you guys could make more videos in a week, maybe every other day? hikhik. much love! 💙
I just had myself some takeaways today, 'cause as you said, to support the local restaurant 🙊 (or yeah, maybe i'm just too lazy to cook and i really wanted to eat molten/fondant cake which i dont think I'm capable of making them 😹but i know you guys did and could make them! haahha)
What did you go for with your takeaway?
@@SortedFood I had Kuey teow goreng mamak from local Mamak stall here in Perak, Malaysia (it's Malaysian dish, It's so simple but so nyummy! It's fried flat rice noodle and i like it mamak-style as there's typically cucur udang (prawn fritters) and tofu in it, love it 😊 have you all tried it or maybe cook it before? 🤓 I also had pizza hut takeaways specifically for the molten lava cake for dessert 🙊
I need more of these videos, it’s a amazing concept
Mike is like your friend who eats a lot of food but is surprisingly fit😂🤣🤣
He was hardcore dieting a while ago so I'm guessing he doesn't get away with it all that much xD
Suggestion: As a follow up to this battle, you guys should do a to-go/delivery battle where you try to get the best dish possible with the lowest price! Lowest amount spent wins, but there are requirements to what the dish has to contain.
Jamie and his happy belly at the end 😆
This should become a regular series to help showcase the cuisine for both Londoners and tourist
Can you please try out different air fryers and show us recipes!
Sorted has been so good for binge watching recently, loved the restaurant package video. Keep it up guys
Jamie wins. A lot. ♥️
Kouign amann is my FAVORITE pastry, especially with custard in the middle. The caramelized sugar on the bottom, and the light flakey layers are the most beautiful thing I've ever eaten.
Hey guys!! Have you managed to grab any of the vegan goodies from Iceland (the shop) yet? I'd love to see that video xD
oooh shopping from Iceland or Picard would be a great video!
This is a cool format! Some ideas for the next version - looking for places with sustainable containers, a vegetarian or vegan round!
In London, everything is so expensive that 20 pence is a significant difference 😂
Can we see more ultimate battles? Love those! So many themes still to see.
Well, now we know what happens when you give Jamie too much power.
BOW BEFORE KING SPAFFORD
😂😂😂
All those foods looked amazing! Kudos to Jamie for thinking up of this challenge Not only did he get to enjoy a variety of banger lunch selection, but managed to highlight London’s cool food scene.
This is spaffordfood.....i mean sortedfood....
Actually im unsure which ones right!
Jamie gets sooo spoiled and it’s adorable to watch how much effort B and M put in to do so 😍♥️
Kouign amann is one of the traditional desserts of French Brittany, Dominique Ansel didn't invent it, maybe credit us also ? :,(
"us"? What did you personally contribute?
@@gerdkronsteig7469 Well that's where I was born and raised, where I've lived for my whole life, so that's my culture, hence why I associate with it ?
I know i was like... They mention what everything else was from so... mention us? And also it's not in a muffin form normally ! Either way it was nice to see one on sorted 😊
