I feel Jamie should have won because he required less handholding. Yes, the end result matters, but if you are going to do it about 'thinking like a chef', and the one who needs constant handholding and repetitions is right there facing the chef to see his expressions and body language, that is a huge advantage for them. I am not surprised at all Barry won, especially given that Jamie instantly fell for the pepper trap. The challenge was "mille feuille battle." Thinking like a chef was just the theme. At the end the of day, he put an undercooked puff pastry (with pepper in it) against a properly cooked and properly seasoned puff pastry and was completely missing one component (the icing).

as has been said on other comments thinking like a chef isn't just about a clean space and following instructions, it is more importantly about taste-appearance is important but flavour comes first, and Spaff was incredibly close but he under-cooked his dish and added an incorrect seasoning creating the wrong flavour profile. Effectively Spaff was more consistently chefy where Baz was chefy where it counted more this time.
@@boa_firebrand Plus he completely messed up the chocolate, mixed the sugar in and added water. Baz's main mistake was not putting the tray on top at the end, as Ben said that the mistake in making the creme pate was just adding another step at the end so it was still the same end product but took longer to get there.

I want to see a return of Eric Lanlard, we all know how instructing Jamie and Mike, who worked together, went. So i can only imagine if they had to do it by themselves.
I like when they work together too! A bit more complicated recipes but both on the same team!
Kudos to whoever was in charge of the Ben cam 😂😂😂
This is my favourite channel! Happy to see a few of you back in the kitchen together
Why does Ben saying "rough puff" make me laugh so much? 😂
OMG I love this new series. More please!
I actually like it that Jamie added pepper to his pastry. It might really add depth.
LOVE THIS FORMAT!!
LOVE MY SORTED FAMILY!!
Bring in GORDON RAMSEY!!!!! That would be crazy wild.
Starting good. Minute and a half in and there is not a single hob on.
Such a great series! More immediately please!!
'Hear it, say: ''Oui Chef", clock it, move on.' Oh those good ol' days when i was a a little scruffy kid, trying to become a chef. Done that for 15 years, I am now a butcher (much better).
love think like a chef please make more
Why aren’t they shouting “YES CHEF” after every instruction? That’s how a real chef would react!
Jonathan Croley because they still had to compute what a mill fwey was.
Olivier pilon rousseau Pas mal ! 😂 Fway lol ça m'a bien fait rire !
Because every 2 seconds Barry has to ask Ben to repeat the instructions
Because they are normals. XD
I LOVED this concept for a video. I want more of these side by side but separated vids
As a french person that mille feuille gave me anxiety
The banter in this video was absolutely RELENTLESS! 🤣🤣
Barry battling dyscalculia while being tossed numbers is amazing and inspiring. I would have collapsed in sobs.
One of the best ever- I loved Ben's reactions when the boys f'd up!
Imagine they could get Marco Pierre White to do one of these with the Boys. That'd be amazing to watch
Honestly, this community is so pure. There's not even a single comment about the definition of docking.
Boys not gonna lie here. I completely forgot that I started an online game and my team lost horribly because of that. 10/10 would recommend this episode.
Loved Think Like A Chef, please do more like this!
This made me gasp “No” out loud on a tube train
You guys should do more of these. I really liked this
In a "Think like a chef" challenge, Jamie thought like a chef better but I'm still picking Barry... It wasn't a make the best pasty challenge.
as has been said on other comments thinking like a chef isn't just about a clean space and following instructions, it is more importantly about taste-appearance is important but flavour comes first, and Spaff was incredibly close but he under-cooked his dish and added an incorrect seasoning creating the wrong flavour profile.
If Ben had not held Barry's had, he wouldn't have put the eggs in. If the chef/judge fixes your mistakes before they can cost you're bound to win.
This is simply the funniest episode I have ever watched from the boys. I feel ‘Think like a Chef’ series is going to go a long way. Need more of this in my life.
Ben's face was so red when it came to the Chantilly cream that I almost thought the editing team had overlaid a tomato on his face
I never thought a cooking show could be this funny and entertaining. Love your style🔥
Asking Jamie to think like a chef is like asking a fish to think like a cactus.
The barrier works! This was real fun to watch after a days work.
Thanks guy's
thought this was going to be something like Overcooked by the setup, which btw....*hint hint*
GOOD IDEA
