I love how Ben was enjoying the impromptu viking tour. Also love that they got to hear "Spaff!" out of nowhere 200+ miles from home. I think Jamie and Barry's dishes suffered from execution rather than concept. In York, they talked about how balanced the ones they bought were, which probably took practice and experimentation. While Ben got his inspiration from the ingredients and knew how to execute it.
I love that he was such a fan that could just shout out the name and they got to enjoy the fries from his stand. A wholesome fan/youtuber interaction and a fun moment.
I think a series of "The Sorted Team goes on Holiday" and ever location has a food battle of some sort using local ingredients and maybe even local cooking methods would be amazing
True! They're one of the only channels I'll happily watch when I know the content is branded. They're great at incorporating it, keeping true to their vibe, and only accepting deals that make sense with their brand.
I agree, there are only a handful of channels I know that do ads really well, and Sorted is definitely one of them. When a channel is picky about who they do ads for so that they only do ads for products/companies that really fit well with the channel's content, and only for ones that they clearly believe in (as in: they've got a really good product and/or the company has very good/ethical practices), and they manage to make the ad feel like it fits in with the flow of the video (or even if the entire video is basically an ad, but it's done in a way that makes the video fit in really well with the rest of the channel's videos), well I don't mind ads at all when they're like that. In fact, when the ads fit in so well like they do with Sorted, I'm much more likely to consider actually spending my money on whatever's being advertised. If Sorted started advertising RAID: Shadow Legends or something, yeah no thank you. But the types of things they do advertise, and the way they go about it: that works for me.
Taaaaxi! Well that's what we yell out in my part of Oz if someone breaks a glass. Means they have had to much to drink and need a taxi home. I think Jamie and Bazza did a good job. I would have liked crunchy bubbling cheese on top of the bread but Ebbers looked good too. Ebbers you should have come out in you new chef's jacket to get they guys reaction. Thanks for a fun video again
@@SortedFood I think this is a great suggestion. You can tell they're good friends when Ben says "guess the flavor" and shoves something in his mouth and he just goes along with it and actually tries to guess

I LOVED THIS EPISODE. It is so fun going around with you and seeing all these lovely shops. I so want to be there tasting along with you. And OH MY do those yorkshire pudding wraps look amazing!
I’ve missed these travelling videos, I thought your 24 hour videos of London and Edinburgh were great- something that influenced where I ate when I went to both. Would love to see you explore areas like Manchester and Liverpool, and try some northern food like oat cakes, Eccles cakes etc
Yes! I've been waiting for the York episode since you travelled there. So glad you went to Taylor Made Kitchen, they used to do crispy onions, truffle and duck loaded mac and cheese and it was incredible. York food marathon next?
I think if the dessert wrap by Baz was a bit better, maybe a bit "less", they might have pulled the win since Jamie's wrap looked phenomenal. I've actually seen Jolly do an episode on that place for the traditional sunday roast wrap and I was totally upset that there wasn't one over here across the pond. Either way they all looked great and now I'm hungry.
I was rewatching all the old head to head to head sand cam up with 2 questions: 1 how about a ultimatum egg battle and 2 what happened to the blue boxing rope!?
oh, i know the answer to the boxing rope! basically, they spent a lot of money on it to make it look like a boxing ring but basically nobody ever noticed it, or if they did realized that it was supposed to look like a boxing ring, so they stopped putting it up a while ago and used it for other stuff (i think they talked about it on a podcast once?). Also, while they never did an ultimate egg battle, they did a "3 Things to Do with Eggs" which is kinda "eh, close enough" in terms of format
I love that you actually use suggestions the community give you and reach out to local businesses! And that Viking reenact or was so cool and interesting!
You missed the best thing you can get in York - Curd Cake also know as Yorkshire cheesecake. I have been known to take the train from Glasgow just to load up on them.

I LOVED THIS EPISODE. It is so fun going around with you and seeing all these lovely shops. I so want to be there tasting along with you. And OH MY do those yorkshire pudding wraps look amazing!
The part where the guy was shouting ‘spaf spaf’ absolutely made my day 😭😂
These kinds of videos make me so happy. Just best buds having a blast out on the town; trying new things and meeting new people.
I’ve missed these travelling videos, I thought your 24 hour videos of London and Edinburgh were great- something that influenced where I ate when I went to both. Would love to see you explore areas like Manchester and Liverpool, and try some northern food like oat cakes, Eccles cakes etc
omg im in love with this video, especially how it seemingly just sort of fell into place. loved the viking reenactor!! what a lovely day
❤
Yes! I've been waiting for the York episode since you travelled there.
So glad you went to Taylor Made Kitchen, they used to do crispy onions, truffle and duck loaded mac and cheese and it was incredible.
York food marathon next?
I second the idea of a York Food Marathon! Bring back the Vikings!
Yes! I want a York food marathon. That’s why I thought they wanted recommendations 😂
The Duckeroni will be back soon I promise
@@christiantaylor88 I’ve moved away but I’ll come back any day for the Duckeroni! Portion size alone is worth it
Your travel videos are some of my favorites.
YES! Pre-pandemic Sorted vibes!
Finally! 🥳
“rainbow & sass - that’s me!” 😂😂🤣 priceless Ebbers!
I know it’s sponsored but this is a great format. You should do this again!
I was just thinking about how much I miss you guys getting out of the studio and traveling places, even if they're local. So enjoyable to watch!
My word please do more episodes like this. This was great!!
Ebbers in that coat! Looked like a young Elton John!
He was living his best life.
Looove the concept for this challenge! Good job 👏🏻 such a fun video
Ebbers slaying in a sparkling coat was what I needed today.
There is nothing more Yorkshire than fruitcake and cheese! Definitely approved!
I love that you actually use suggestions the community give you and reach out to local businesses! And that Viking reenact or was so cool and interesting!
You missed the best thing you can get in York - Curd Cake also know as Yorkshire cheesecake. I have been known to take the train from Glasgow just to load up on them.
Yorkshire Curd Tarts - they are amazing when you can find them lol
I don't know if these videos get as many views, but SORTED traveling vlogs are always some of my favorites! It's so fun to see the boys get out of the studio for a change and I get so much travel envy!
While Ben's dish looked delicious. I must say that Jamie and Barry's dish should have won only because Ben did not make the tea cake or the jam but just the cheese sauce on it. Sorry Ben 🫣
Yet Jamie and Barry literally used food from other places and just reheated it lol.
I absolutely adore York 😍 I also loved this format so much. Hoping for more cities!
I hope Eric has seen this, he seemed like a top bloke.
Hurray for LNER, I live along their route near Leeds. Great content that happened to be an ad, very well blended together. I hope you're able to do more of these up and down the country, with all them great rail links in and out of central London!
I want to go to York just for those fries. 🤤
So happy you guys are traveling again! These are my favorite sort of videos!
Happy Sunday to SortedFood HQ and the Community! I was so excited to hear that the York Trip was going to be in a video. Such fun! 👏🏽
Let us know what you would want to try the most Pokhraj!
@@SortedFood From what I’ve seen, LITERALLY EVERYTHING!
YAY for the return of travel videos!
