I did a similar build but on a different bike , I used the same battery but I went to the 52 volt and recently added another to my bag on my back rack to give me 2 batteries in parallel which gives me 40 amp hours . Used the bmx handle bars and like you I love then . There are some more things to add . One is pedal extenders it really helps to keep your feet planted on the pedals and the other is a suspension seat post .
I have a BBSHD Mongoose Malus which is very similar. I think I need to do that handlebar upgrade. The one thing I am not in love with is leaning forward onto the bars. I was thinking of just using an adjustable stem to raise the stock bars. But those BMX bars look good so that may be the way to go.
I have the same bike i love your set up can you let me know what bofang kit you used for this build. Just curious? How fast have you got this to go considering your still able to shift gears
Hey David. Check the video description for the kit links and info. It’s a BBSHD with EggRiderV2. Your speed will depend on a lot of things but throttle only high 20s - low 30s mph.
Thanks Larry. At the time, including the bike, $1,811. There is a bit more info on the website ElectricAllWheel.com. Thanks for watching! Please feel free to subscribe. We will be having a chopper build coming very soon.
@@ElectricAllWheel I just finished a 26in fat tire buld with a 1,000w geared Bafang, 30 amp controller, pulls hard alot of power, but only 29MPH throttle only flat ground. Gets there really fast though I think it's governed.
Is there a reason people seem to always use fat tire bikes on these bmx style conversions? I have regular 24" and 26" BMX single gear bikes and I'd like to use one to do a conversion like this on. They are non fat tire, just normal BMX tires. Will it work? Am I going to run into fitment issues or something? Or is there a problem with using a single gear bike?
Really want to do something like this with my Mongoose Ripsaw. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome. Take the time to make it your own. You will love it!

Thanks for the info, I really like what I see that you've done/accomplished. I'd like a total cost estimate from you on this. Thanks!!!

Forgive me if you mentioned it but, what's the top speed throttle only flat ground on that bike,?
The freewheel tooth count and controller settings do play a big part of that.
28-32mph are within it’s out of the box capabilities

@@mjsmjs7905 you might think about a higher tooth count chainring

How tall are you? And what size is that bike? Im 6ft 3 and im looking at a large dolomite. But you look way to big for that bike so im curious. Thanks
6’2”
@@ElectricAllWheel thank you! And that bike is a medium?
I believe they only come in one size. It’s a 26in wheel 18in frame.
Did you get the 100mm or 120mm for the motor socket ?
120mm with spacers
OMG I'm too old to hear the low audio here LOL.
We are working out the audio kinks. Check out some of the latest vids.
Also, we will be building another Mongoose fat tire so be on the lookout
