    Bro, I can pedal up that without any throttle on my standard 1500W M620, And I live in Wales, I know steep. If you choose your gear and pedal along with the throttle you'll get up that with more control and actually get to the top with out putting a foot down. Rather than trying to monkey it up like a motorcross bike.

      100% Correct . I was getting ready to say something like " try a very low gear and pedal along wth the motor". You said it best. I hate to say it but this just looked stupid starting a mile back ...I saw right away that was never going to work. It looked as though he put very little thought into this plan.

    We were able to climb a 60 Degree fireroad with lots of loose sand using 100% Throttle on our 100 lbs Cafe Racer with 26x4" Tires, 44T Crankwheel and 50T Rear Cog. The Ultra Motor is 100% Stock 1500W @ 30 Amps using stock 48V17.5AH Samsung Battery. The Drivetrain/Good Tires will turn that Ultra (or BBSHD) into a whole other beast with the right drivetrain setup...
    We are currently in process of testing a 150 lbs Enduro Ebike with BBSHD in both 1.5kw as well as BBSHD in 3.5kw version with the same exact drivetrain setup (28T crankwheel with 50T rear cog). The 150 lbs Ebike has tendency to do a front wheelie (even with stock BBSHD). That drivetrain on the BBSHD puts even our Ultra Motor to shame. We are running out of places to climb using 100% Throttle all the way.
    Ground Speed might up 10MPH on the BBSHD and 12MPH on the Ultra. But on a 50-60 Degree Hill Climb, we are averaging 5-6 MPH pace using 100% Throttle.
    And for whatever the reason, the MINIMUM rear tire that you need on the Ultra Bike is 4" or wider. A 2.8-3" tires just doesn't have the traction to stick to the trail and handle the full torque of the Bafang Motor. 120 lb/ft is more Torque than any gas powered motorcycle (including off road dirt bikes) except a 250MPH Kawasaki Ninja with 300+ HP. But the Ultra/BBSHD only has 2 HP! :D

    I bet if you lower your seat right down and get ass over the centre over the pedals squat down ... weight lower your climb faster ...toward the steep part your be able to spring weight forward and up ..in order to pump your weight up your get that little extra distance toward it last legs ..
    But yea i think lower seat play about shifting weight in timing you can get better results on this hill for sure .....i think now to point where technique is extra part needed to drive it without having to add more power ... ..Pumping would be the technique .....shifting weight and feathering weight ...feathering weight is hoping little bit that no weight on the bike ....feather bouce weight off bike then bike weight is halved and speed go up ....so you can feather weight to pump up and down ...ur not jumping just bouncing weight from feet to waist .....
    Im guessing with jiu jitsu back ground your able to do that and pretty good at it ..there lot and weight shifting in jiu jitsu i imagine

    I mean, I can't even comment on being able to go up that with my stock tsdzb2b .. since it's a torque assist drive without throttle.. like a proper mtb should be. This is a dirt bike, on a dirt bike hill, and it's friggin hilarious considering you can build this for a fraction of what you'd need to pay for an electric dirt bike, while you can ride it without a motorcycle license ... Change the rig to half that number of teeth (26t bling ring on the correct wide shallow chain set) and you ought to be able to go up that slope from a standing start. At one point you had just come off with the rear derailuer set to near the top (high speed) cog, I thought "what is this guy trying to do?" Of course, maybe you will break the chain or wheely yourself off the back of the bike, but you will need to use the lowest gear and add shed loads of grunt yourself.

    I do like the way you've left the battery lock key in the battery. I'm guessing the battery fell out because you didn't lock it.😂🤦‍♂ My BBS02 seems to rip up anything

      No it wasn't the key the battery catch wasn't fitted yet at that time

    Great bike I think the battery came out because you still had the keys in so the vibration could just turn the key. I remember it lifting up before once and Andy said remove the key as it can turn. But apart from that it rocketed up that hill it's sure has some power great job.

    • @DudeStuff
      @DudeStuff  3 года назад +1

      I don't think the key was locked to be fair and there is no screws at all in the bottom battery bracket because it was a returned bike that someone returned in awful condition

      @@DudeStuff That's some hill and it went up it great job it shows how powerful these motors really are.

  • @MrDegsy69
    @MrDegsy69 Год назад

    Persistence almost legendary here but a complete lack of specifics? It looks to be a cheapo 250 watt direct drive motor. Simply put technique will not help much here as more power and torque are required and it will eat that hill which appears to be a 1 in 1 gradient.

    I don't get it I have the bbshd and it kills hills and I live in Canada Vancouver and where I live there are steap hills and it eats them for breakfast. I would say there something wrong with your battery mabey it's not giving out the amps it needs.

  • @marksierra3522

    No reason why that bike shouldn't be able to carry you up that hill in first gear on it's own power - without input from you. You might need to position yourself over center a little, but other than that the bike can do it smoothly and without stumbling.

      scooters/mopeds like the one you said have a CVT so it auto-gears down, which is basically what he needs aswell.

    We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
