Golden Motor set me up with my first BBSHD. They where so helpful after the motor arrived.

Cool but best basic upgrades are: 1 shift sensor 2 light tyre and tpu tube for rear wheel for weight reduction - less power consumption - better battery usage efficiency

I have Shimano Steps E6000 cranksets on. Offset /Q factor is perfect. They're well made and have proved themselves over and over.
Also have Gustavo chainrings on all my builds. Narrow /wide profile, lightweight, 32t to 52t selection. They do right by me. Well worth a look if you're on a budget upgrade.

True, true, the nr 1 upgrade was switching to a 34T chain ring. Can flip at steep hills but never stalls :D

My upgrade suggestions are: gear shift sensor, crank arms, lekkie chainring and finally a tuning cable.
Strong frame, light wheels and fork with good hubs and a strong rear cassette.

Surely the teeth on an aluminium chain ring won't last?

What cassette would you recommend? Feel like that’s an essential, mines currently damaged & on the look for a better one.

Could you give any rough guesstimates on the best tooth size for something going up 30 degree inclines? I wouldn't want to go the smallest if the second smallest would do the job. Planning a sram 11-48 on the back...

No one ever talks about battery stabilization or battery noise when riding (rattle when you hit bumps). Especially if you go 52V, you need extra battery stabilization and straps...

As a BBS02 owner i can tell that none of these upgrades are necessary unless you have money to throw away!.
