BEST BUDGET LS INTAKE? A-TEAM PERFORMANCE MANIFOLD

Edit: the throttle body is trash and i ended up buying a Holley Sniper Throttle.
Finally we get to one of the crown jewels in the #530z build. With the Vq35 being such a tall engine, concerns we're risen about whether or not the factory strut bar would be able to retained depending on the height of the new manifold. Happy to report that there were no fitment issues at all.
This intake is very similar to what you'd find with a Holley Sniper but for a fraction of the price. It also INCLUDES a 102mm throttle body with a 0 degree throttle opening for WOT pulls. the manifold is constructed from tig welded 3mm thick sheet metal aluminum and is also available in an aluminum finish.

I find it funny see HR or 37 guys trying to get bigger throttle bodies. The custom Manifold on my vq35de uses HR throttle Bodies when combined they are 120mm which is still bigger then that throttle body for your LS

Yeah throttle body wise it’s bigger., mines 102mm, I’ve never really thought it would’ve done much without major upgrades or like shoving substantially more air in it like in forced induction

Man for 519 you coulda got some pretty legit manifolds if you had known that throttle body was trash thats garbage man. I hope you do enjoy it though and dont take that comment as hate towards you or your video as a kit 519 is dope but with what you had to end up doing that sucks. Good video though man

For sure, no offense taken. I agree, it really sucked having to end up paying the extra 200$ or so for the legitimate Holley sniper but you get what you pay for lol sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Just hope I can help other people avoid the same issue. Appreciate the feedback and support man👍🏼

Premier Trucks so far so good, no real fittment issues. Should have the car running later this month so haven’t tested it just yet. Only small issue is the throttle body slightly rubs when opening but some light minor porting should clear that

Update: manifold itself was good but having lots of trouble with the throttle body. Plate sticks and sensor bolt hole was off, as well as the hole for the sensor itself. Plus rotating part of throttle hits manifold. Sent throttle body back, will update when more info is available

Johnny Slater that’s what I did. Went with the legitimate Holley sniper throttle body and that ran me like 250. I have yet to actually put power to the ecu and crank the engine to test the intake, but it seems like everything on that part fit and sealed well. Idk how much of a price difference it is for those two compared to just getting the Holley sniper, but together, it looks like it’ll work just fine even using the cheaper manifold.

Literally the most worthless LS TB & Intake that you can get. It always makes less power than any of the stock intakes. If it were to gain any power it would just be at the tippy top and it would just make what your stock intake made fall off a little slower. So it would make less up too where the original intake made peak power then all it would do is flow better than stock after the engine is done making power and trailing off where you don't need it too. Literally junk.

What made the throttle body trash? I’m considering buying this kit for my 5.3 Silverado.

Work McWorkison the bolt holes didn’t line up for 2/3 sensors, the rotating assembly where the throttle cable connects to makes contact with the manifold itself, the throttle plate itself made contact with the diameter of the throttle body. Just a poorly made throttle body with little quality control in my opinion
