- i want to test without that dual throttle split intake and i figured i would kill two birds with one stone and share the results.
giving this boi a try and holy moly great googly moogly its really nice for the price, at least the two of them i checked out.

Looks like my ICT billet intake. Nice find! I've missed watching sloppy vids like this. I can't believe the OG colorado was almost NINE YEARS ago!! It inspired me to build my first engine & LS platform on my Nova. Thank you sir for everything over the years!

Same flange side to side. Intakes on the stock ls have 2 bolts close to each other on each side of the head because the heads are ambidextrous. Make more videos and you will remember that! :P glad to see you back man!
My guess is so you can run the intake backwards like on the impala ss transverse application. Could be useful in fiero builds or mud trucks where they route intakes into the cabin.
you're like the 10th person to say this, stock intakes can also with half the bolts
The price locally at china is around 2500RMB (intake fuel rail and throttle body),really looking foward to make some big power with that

Hope there's some back to back tests, or at least highly comparable stuff vs long runner intakes.
i like to test things i talk smack on to make sure my smack talk is relevant.
i said nothing about people buying them, i said imma test it and visiually it looks like i got more than i paid for, and we will see how it does power wise on the dyno and i have thousands of runs to compare it too including probably 40 of the mustang previous hits
I have the same style intake and really like it with a GM 4bar TMap mounted on the back. It's cheap and works good enough for me.

The extra holes are most likely to make it harder for the assembly workers to build them wrong. If they drilled only the holes used, the flanges would have to be welded on rotated. With the extra holes, the workers don't have to check which orientation needs to be used per side
I find this style of intake to be noisy. I thought the engine was chewing up a tensioner pulley until I put my hand on top of the intake. Noise went away…. Tinny sounding
they make the valves slapping sounds amplified any hard intake you get way more noise

They’re more expensive than this in some instances so looking into options
You wanna talk about a massive loss in power. Those sheet metal intakes lose a lot compared to a tbss. They look nice but I lost a massive amount of E.T. at the track with this intake and my turbo was much harder to light due to the loss in tq. I had read about it but thought I'll buy one myself and try it surely it ain't that bad but it was for sure. Went from running a 10.4 to an 11.1 on the same boost as the tbss. It sucks because I loved the look and I woulda traded a tenth or two but couldn't do that much.
I will say tho the VE did go up after 6300-6400rpm so if you have a car with traction issues and you want to trade low end tq for upper rpm power then this will definitely do that

Gotta try out the new summit intake, long and short runner, 4 bolt tb. says its 4-8k rpm range, actually looks half decent for being sheet metal.
This one definitely looks nicer that some of the intakes I've seen on car's I tuned. Wonder if the power is any better. All of them that I've encountered has made shit for low end power. Had a few ppl swap them out for holley high rams and instantly loved the power gain down low
I bet they drill the bolt holes so that they can use the same flange on both sides, which also should allow someone to run the intake facing backwards if they wanted to.
Ls engines' bolt holes are already configured to be reversible

Those extra holes are for reverse mounting of the intake so it’s even more universal. No? Idk but it sounds solid
here is the thing you can flip a totally stock one with half the bolts
You can reverse mount the stock one, so that can't be the reason

It looks good, but does it help with power? Would be cool to do back to back dyno against the stock ls3 intake. The ls3 intake is just that good

Also, this style of intake has been proven to loose QUITE a bit of power repeatedly, I'm genuinely surprised you'd even entertain one....
Yeah they're cheap and "look cool" but, i thought you were kinda past that phase in your life and were going for a more "worthwhile mods" journey. No offense, I'm just surprised that you'd even consider one of these intakes since they're kinda old news...
i explained in the video, im just trying it because i never have and stock intakes are 300+ without rails and bolts lol trust me when i say the damn stock intakes usually work best im the guy telling people that lol, so dont worry if it sucks i get to tell you guys and then put some plastic dirty garbage on

Is that why you add a couple percent fuel to 7 and 8?
They’re the back cylinders and farthest from the water pump and also up against firewall and trans so they usually have the most trouble on any engine like 2jz etc
