      As long as you recicle the plastic, for good of the environement, you can use it in the fabrication of shoes when it's treated for that purpose. The polycarbonate is turned into its original form when it s recicled. Other companies are doing that for years, even with paper.

      There are tons of companies doing it. But have you actually considered how much climate change has actually been changed by these so called environmental preservation. None.
      This is just any company doing their thing on PR. Btw recycled plastic that is remanufactured can't be further recycled and ends up in the land fill. This goes back to square one. It makes no difference when the end result is the same.

    • @andertap_silvaroid

      @@441meatloaf First off, name the companies that are doing what Adidas is doing, next I would like you to tell me where you got the information that climate change has not been changed by environmental preservation.
      and then after you're done with that I'd like you to cite valid sources that prove "recycled plastic that is remanufactured can't be further recycled and ends up in the land fill."
      Or are you just talking out of your ass?

    • @441meatloaf
      @441meatloaf 5 лет назад +1

      @@andertap_silvaroid Just because you feign ignorance in this subject doesn't mean I am. You should do more research instead of spewing environmentalist ideologies.
      There are many companies instead of just Adidas as labelled here www.businessinsider.com/companies-using-recycled-plastic-in-products#everlane-4
      Most recycled plastic an only be recycled once depending on quality. But many plastic used also can't be recycled. So yes its true that plastics can only be recycled limited of times before it goes to the landfill due to degradation. Read the article on huffington post that specifically talks about Adidas using recycled plastic eventually ends up back in landfills because it can't be reused many times. There is many articles indicating that plastic have very low re-manufacturing ability. So yes I am correct that remanufactured plastic generally ends up in the landfill with low recyclable use. Even plastic bottles that are made with high quality plastic eventually can't be recycled after 6-8 use and each re-manufacturing process they add more new plastic to it. So no its not really recycling when you need to add new plastic to it.
      www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/plastic-bottles-into-sneakers_n_5be9fcbbe4b0caeec2bca0b6

      blog.nationalgeographic.org/2018/04/04/7-things-you-didnt-know-about-plastic-and-recycling/
      Lastly, climate hasn't seen changes for the better. Its gradually worsening. See Nasa articles on weather measurements and glacial retreat and warming weather. Nat Geo has a similar conclusion to Nasa on changing weather effects and other factors. So whatever recycling we are doing does not change the fact climate is getting worse.
      www.nationalgeographic.com/environment/global-warming/global-warming-effects/
      climate.nasa.gov/evidence/
      This is the reason why your delusional recycling and so called changing the climate makes no difference. Climate is not getting any better and no plastics recycling is of limited reusability and ends up in the landfill again, back to square one.
      And not all plastics are recycled.
