I'm in the reserves so my commands would be: DRESS, RIGHT, DRESS!!! No you arm, no your oth...stop moving...READY, FRONT! No line up, did you shave private Ortiz!? Huh 150 assigned huh 149 out of ranks :/
Very helpful. Thank you so much. I am assuming when you call a "close arm interval" and "double arm interval" you call it while saying dress right dress. Like "at a double arm interval mark, dress right dress"?
In the army, You call "At Close Interval (At Double Interval), Dress Right, DRESS." You can also call "At Normal Interval, Dress Right, DRESS." if you are going back to normal interval from close or double.
Dress right dress is the command to get any type of interval. Now if you just want Normal or single Arm interval you just call “Dress right Dress”, however if you want double arms you will mention it( “ at double Arms interval, dress right…. dress), if you want Close arm interval you do the same just mention it in the preparatory command. If you wanna go from double to single you just say single arm interval dress right dress
Interesting. Slightly different from the one I've learned. The person on the far right(or left, if view from this video) wouldn't do anything. He/she act as an 'anchor'(I dunno the proper term for it). Everyone on his/her left will extend their right hand to make distance between rows., while those behind him/her will extend their right hand to make distance between lines. Also, we didn't have our palm flat while doing it. We have our hand form a fist with the thumb on the top(like when you point something with your thumb) instead. *Sorry for my English. Not my native language.
That’s two different things, Dress right dress is what they showed in the video, the one you are talking about the command for it is “Cover” it is to make sure you you have space between the columns.. when you call cover, the person behind the first soldier will raise their left arm to get the appropriate distance. And after you will say “Recover” and the squad will sharply go back ti the position if attention
love the Drill Sergeant pose with fingers locked below the waist. I remember that very well

What is with the wavering low frequency drone in the background? It sounds like I'm in a airborne B-17 while wearing earplugs.. weird.
Your military right, Francis!
