  • On Christmas day of 1991, our parents surprised us with 2 new quads; a Suzuki 160 LTE Quad Runner and a Suzuki 230. After being ridden much harder than it should have been for over 15 years, it was parked next to my dads house for the last 15. My son Ethan and I decided it was time to bring it back to life. Does it run? Watch the video to find out.

Hahaha. Watching you absolutely drown that poor engine with starting fluid. Thanks for the chuckle.

Don’t worry Dave and I have been laughing since this vid came out. It should be titled “what not to do” 🤣

Glad it finally started! You need fuel spark and compression for a gasoline engine to start. Probably had a stuck valve. Please never use that much starting fluid again! If it would have backfired it would have been bad. The screw on the side of the carb is for idle adjustment and you cranked it in way to far as I’m sure you found out.

🤣 Thanks. Yeah, probably should’ve read the bottle. Don’t remember watching my dad use that much starting fluid on the ole big block as a kid. Figured out the idle screw just after I said it. Runs like a top now! -Joe

As an ex mechanic that was painful to watch, the lack of basic diagnostics was killing me.
