Yes the show is amazing and the models are so incredible.
Looks like BR 78 is the model of choice for many manufacturers this year in many scales, TILLIG in TT, PIKO in HO and 1, TRIX/MAERKLIN in HO, ROCO in HO, etc
Yes the BR 78 has always been a popular loco. I am glad that Piko and Marklin/Trix are making new tooling to bring out a detailed new version.
Accept the whistle and bell is way off on big boy 4014...
When Märklin switched to AC only I was disappointed because my collection was DC and switching old 80's and 90's locos that I inherited from my late father was gonna be a pain in the butt to convert to 3 rail AC if I wanted Märklin rolling stock. But then I discovered that Märklin bought Trix and they released their models in DC through Trix.
That Big Boy model looks amazing, but hella expensive!!!
Marklin was always AC they made some DC models in the 80s and 90s under the brand HAMO but Marklin was always AC. Now they own Trix which is there DC division.
There is both the Big Boy and there is the Challenger. 3969 to be exact. From what I've heard about them, they both are really detailed and accurate in everyway. If they have kadee couplers then I will buy them both.

I'm not so sure those UP excursion passenger cars and dome cars will sell well. They are highly inaccurate. Walthers does these cars far more accurately.
