New Marklin/Trix HO Bavarian S3/6 locomotive

Reynaulds.com is proud to share the Märklin/Trix video featuring the new S3/6 Bavarian Express Locomotive. The S3/6 will be available in both 3-Rail AC and 2-Rail DC. The locomotive is completely new tooling. The locomotive is constructed mostly of metal. The running gear is intricately constructed of die-cast metal with a partially open bar frame which creates a prototypical open view through the running gear. The model features full cab interiors modeled in detail, white functional LED lanterns and impressive detail. The locomotive has a powerful 5-pole high-efficiency propulsion motor with a flywheel. The locomotive also has a factory-installed smoke unit, a lighted cab, a light for oncoming trains, which can be controlled in digital operation, and an mfx+ decoder. There is a close coupling mechanism between the locomotive and tender with a "display case position". The locomotive has intricate smokebox doorsteps, and the tender has prototypical hook coupler and air hoses. Piston rod protection sleeves are also included.

Do the inner cylinders operate on the model?

No that's the only thing they did not do, it's a shame. I remember the old Lilliput versions had inner working cylinders. Maybe because the model has a lot more electronics they could not find the space. It is a very exquisite model. On Saturday morning we are premiering a new video on a new Orient Express car set showcasing more of this great model. Stay tuned!!
