Hey Lazy, thanks for the video! Just wanted to add that we should all be aware that it wasn't just the efforts of police that linked the GSK cases together, but was also in large part due to the efforts of Michelle McNamara, a true crime enthusiast who helped authorities massively in eventually capturing Joseph James DeAngelo. Kind of sad she wasn't mentioned here. She tragically passed away before he was actually caught and charged, but it's important to acknowledge her efforts and the impact she had on the case (as well as the efforts of her widower, Patton Oswalt, to ensure her work got the attention it deserved).
Sort of. But writing a book and drawing attention to a case isn't exactly what helped get him caught. Paul Holes and other detectives as well as the genetic genealogists are the ones who finally solved it. It still would have been solved without any input from Michelle McNamara.
@@faithpearlgenied-a5517 No it wouldn't have. Officials had more or less dropped the case and it was her obsession with it that renewed interest. He would be another unsolved mystery without her.

The killer nurse story reminded me of something an acquaintance told me. When they were working in Germany in a nursing home facility, one of the nurses accidentally killed a resident after giving the wrong meds. The facility covered it up and the nurse kept their license. This happened again another time. Although the nurse was let go, they were never reported. Be careful out there people
30 years ago this month (Aug), 2 little girls went missing here in San Antonio, TX. Their bodies were eventually discovered, unfortunately the murderers have never been found. RIP Heidi Seeman and Erica Botello 🙏
It’s a sad time when a nurse with no remorse for killing patients can freely walk around with a smile on her face 😤 I hope she doesn’t get another job in the medical field.

Great video as usual, Lazy! Speaking of solved cases, I'll add that there has recently been major progress made in the Alissa Turney case. They arrested her father Michael maybe a week ago, 19 years from her disappearance.
SPOILER ALERT: Its sad when the least depressing part about this video is the last case where someone is found to have crashed their car into a lake by accident. Every other case, but especially the golden state killer and Italian Nurse from Hell are just sad. Doesn't really feel like justice for the golden state killer to get away for that long and then get life in prison. The Nurse gets off on a technicality even after evidence shows her taking pictures with her victims on top of her being a heartless bitch laughing and smiling in the courtroom. If she was responsible for killing my elderly relative I'd be tempted to turn the wheels of justice myself or get someone more experienced in the matter. It's hard for me to not feel that way after hearing the circumstances and what the victims went through in these types of cases.
As soon as i heard that nurse story my blood boiled and i knew exactly where it was going. This is an ongoing problem as some nurses think their expertise is worth more than their meager pay checks and strike in their own way. It disguists me youd be given the power to heal and help but you use that knowledge instead to spread pain and anguish. Hypocritical oath more like.

My head snapped when I heard the Canadian story in Revelstoke, my family has friends who live there and we used to visit every summer. I used to swim in that lake all the time and now I feel super creeped out.
My own story (kind of) about Story 2: My mother actually lived in the Sacramento area in the 1970s when D’Angelo was active. She was just a teenager at the time and lived in a typical suburb with her father, mother and older sister. My mother told me about how she and her sister (my aunt) lived in constant fear every time the sun went down. They would lock their windows and close the blinds or curtains, but still be utterly terrified, always have that lingering feeling as though unknown eyes were upon them. See, you’re never fully covered by either of those things, there are always tiny little cracks between the blinds or curtains. She feared that D’Angelo was watching her through those small cracks. He was basically their bogeyman, except very, very real. Nothing ever happened to her nor any of her family, but she and my aunt at least were constantly in fear during the time they lived in that area. It’s even more crazy as my grandfather was in the military and a Vietnam veteran, basically a hardened man. Despite that, my mom and aunt still felt so helpless. It just shows what terror that thing of a man brought. It is hard to imagine really, hearing numerous stories like the Hardwick’s around your area and fearing what happened to them could happen to you and your family. I never knew this until he was identified and apprehended a few years ago, she never told me about this. Now, I kind of understand why she always wants the door to our place locked and blinds to our room closed. (I actually have multiple stories regarding my family and serial murderers, but yeah I felt this one pertained to this video the most). Love your videos Lazy! It is always a treat to see you pop up in my sub box
The story featuring the Italian nurse is a travesty. Last story had a strange sense of relieving ending. Terrible and tragic end for that ladies life but the fact a young boy was able to help provide closure to her children and grandchildren is everything.
Give credit where credit's due, Lazy. It was thanks to Michelle McNamara and other citizen sleuths that the Golden State Killer was caught. She also coined the name "Golden State Killer". Not surprising to hear the Golden State killer was a police officer- that was why he was so good at evading capture.
I agree 100%!! Her dedication to documenting all things and not letting the details slip was a very important step in the whole process!

God I feel so bad for Fahim and especially his sister. I can’t imagine how that poor woman still must be feeling.
It’s a sad time when a nurse with no remorse for killing patients can freely walk around with a smile on her face 😤 I hope she doesn’t get another job in the medical field.
Exactly! The fact that she got away with it really chaps my ass. It's cool though. She won't escape justice in the end. Believe that.
Edit: apparently I can't spell. 😔
@@pammeckley3888 Someone out there os bound to be harrassing her and she'll deserve it. I don't condone beating her up or anything but you can't treat patients like that and expect loved ones and others to not retaliate.
@@AnnieNorthman89 Exactly. I kept thinking of my mother when Lazy was telling us what she did to that women's mother. I'll admit, that made me *very* angry and she wasn't even *my* mother. Imagine how the relatives feel. And the selfie she took with the elderly lady that I'm sure she helped to end the life of. With her thumbs up. She's a sick, twisted b**** and she'll most likely meet a sticky end unless she does some heavy duty repentance. Slim chance to none but it is possible.
@@pammeckley3888 I agree. It's very disgusting and upsetting hearing about what she did to her mom. People like that have no business in the medical field or any sorts. What's more upsetting is that people like that are still out there.

That poor lady in the last one, being missing for 27 years. I wonder how many times family members drove/walked past that spot not knowing what was at the bottom?! :(
My younger brother used to work food trays at a local hospital. Negligence doesn't begin to describe the staff's behavior he witnessed every day, like nurses scrolling Facebook as nearby patients crashed.
He made him a huge favor by trying to avoid all criminal consequences and he butchered him... what a horrible selfish person...
Poor Sahim and poor Sahim's sister, to see her brother like that. I can't even imagine how is her state of mind after such a horrific scene, I hope she is well =/
Do you like Huey Lewis and the News? Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically.

Because of all the negative news stories about police people don't want to get involved with them so they call other people, like family, or no one at all.

Great video as usual, Lazy! Speaking of solved cases, I'll add that there has recently been major progress made in the Alissa Turney case. They arrested her father Michael maybe a week ago, 19 years from her disappearance.
SPOILER ALERT:
Its sad when the least depressing part about this video is the last case where someone is found to have crashed their car into a lake by accident.
At least the last one wasn't that dark. The rest of these were "someone commits murder, almost gets away with it".
@cromwell2007 Yes, it says that in the video.
@cromwell2007 *almost gets away*
Nurses and doctors usually close ranks when this shit happens.

I don't see how Fahim's case was anything like American Psycho besides being a murder in NYC.
Give credit where credit's due, Lazy. It was thanks to Michelle McNamara and other citizen sleuths that the Golden State Killer was caught. She also coined the name "Golden State Killer". Most of the cops in CA had definitely given up on the EAR/ONS/GSK case, except for a handful of retired detectives.
