Annie Haslam!!! She sounds beautiful!! Amazing!! She is a natural! She was born with a natural talent!! She is a beautiful lady...She is a princess and she is my favorite singer of all time! Forever!!
My favorite song. After 50 years, a big group plus technology I was hoping for better. Looks like there are no bass players that can do a solo like Jon Camp did every live version was different, true improvising. I liked that Renaissance did NOT have a typical high screeching Rock guitarist only needed Jon on bass. Always love Annie. Read the lyrics, out of this world, literally, they are about NDE experiences. A one-of-a-kind song.
I have loved Renaissance since classmate Kathy (an angel) told me about them while in college in 1977 , really wish I knew about them sooner and that Annie was still singing so beautifully and in town, would of loved to see her.
Annie Haslam, Rave Tesar on Piano, Mark Lambert guitar, vocals, Leo Traversa bass, backing vocals, Geoffrey Langley, keyboards, backing vocals, Frank Pagano, drums, backing vocals, Joe Deninson 1st violin, Eddie Venegas, 2nd violin, Orlando Wells, viola, Leonard Grinahuz, cello, Charles Descarfino, percussion, Bob Magnuson, oboe, English horn, flute, clarinet, Allen Won, flute, alto flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, Bob Ferrell, trombone, Vinnie Cutro, trumpet and flugelhorn, Bill Hughes, French horn. Special guest Jim McCarty, acoustic guitar ( he appeared on the original Ashes are Burning)
@@jpirard I don't remember Jim McCarty on the original "Ashes Are Burning", the acoustic guitar was by Michael Dunford and the electric guitar solo was by Andy Powell, guitari player of Wishbone Ash. Jim McCarty played in that first Renaissance lineup, which didn't even have Annie Haslam yet, it was a lineup from the Yardbirds, with him, Keith Relf and Paul Samwell-Smith. The Renaissance lineup in this video above only has Annie Haslam as the traditional band, I think, the rest are all different people.
Annie,s voice has weaken a lot...if you know voice, you know...but she has a good technich and pulls it out barely sometimes, the voice of an old lady .......but of course the music is so good that i feel indulgent...the middle part of the jam is interesting and different specialy with the orchestra....The bass solo should be forgotten because Camp is unforgettable ...YTe jazzy section after is fun and refreshing...the building of the final is fascinating and the guitar solo is is history...This is of course the swan song....i think that any further recording and live shows could become quite pathetic for Annie
I appreciate these band members try so hard..... but its not the same vibe, The original band made id it perfect so its hard to hear various personal additions. s.
Not even close to a lot as you said. But is totally natural at her age that her voice won't be the same. On the other hand, is amazing how well she still can perform this song.
Her voice, remarkably, seems better than on the Live album. Holy fuck she porked out. Good lord 45 years ago she was smoking. She must've gone on the Catherine Bach diet plan. Sad.
Holy sh*t, the voice is still amazing . Wasn’t expecting that at all.. wow.
Think of all the superb musicians that have been associated with Renaissance in all of its incarnations. It boggles the mind!
Oh my god, her voices still is glorious!
Geh´ mal zum Ohrenarzt !
Sorry, but...
I love RENAISSANCE from 1972 until now. I love Annie !!!
Such an amazing voice.i was fortunate to see her several times.
Annie Haslam!!! She sounds beautiful!! Amazing!! She is a natural! She was born with a natural talent!! She is a beautiful lady...She is a princess and she is my favorite singer of all time! Forever!!
Annie you sound as good as you did 50 years ago, your amazing!
Wow, she’s still got it after all these years.
I saw them so many times in the 70’s. I love them and Annie Haslam. I'm hoping to go soon and I'm so excited!

ALL YOU WILL FIND THERE IS...... LOVE
Annie still gives the WOW factor. Annie's voice has even gotten better with age.
Sorry, no.
I attended the first video recording of Renaissance with the orch in Fall 2017, here at the Keswick theater...
EXCELLENT!
I had the pleasure to meet and speak with Annie for a radio interview in 1977 when Renaissance played the Greek theatre in LA…she sounds great ! ❤
She was 70 years old a that time ! What a voice ! Awesome singer and artist !
Found Renaissance in mid 80s..love the melodies..should have more recognition..
I wish the picture quality was better, however Annie and the band still amaze!
Michael Dunford and Jon Tout you are both missed!
I consumed a lot of stylus over their records in the past years.
They cost me a lot. 😀
Love them forever!
tremendous staging and performance. Go Annie!
I've heard and read and know that Time matches on. That all things must pass. NOT QUITE YET ...........
Emocionante! Um privilégio conhecer essa obra-prima a 50 anos. Obrigado Renaissance .
Wow wow good for her!!!! I LOVED THIS WHOLE PERFORMANCE
Ela é maravilhosa, me emociono toda vez que ouço ela cantar.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Annie is such a unique performer. Not at all like most female singers. Her voice says it all.
I have loved Renaissance since classmate Kathy (an angel) told me about them while in college in 1977 , really wish I knew about them sooner and that Annie was still singing so beautifully and in town, would of loved to see her.
Grandissimi ancora !!!!! MITICI Renaissance !!!!!!
Amazing !! Anne STILL HAS IT!
Voltei aos anos 70 agora sensacional 👏👏👏👏
Incredible. Everyone sounds amazing still. Annie’s just as brilliant as she’s always been.
.. Viva Renaissance.lo amo

Mito. Leggenda. Sogno.

Fhenomemal! my escuses! I am aren't english speaker.
still blown away by this song. not a fan of the bass in this version tho
I appreciate these band members try so hard..... but its not the same vibe, The original band made id it perfect so its hard to hear various personal additions.

The unnecessary bass solo really killed the flow... and also reminded me a lot of Derek Smalls during Jazz Odyssey.
That was sad. Annie has lost her voice. Such a shame that age does crap like this to us.
Ummm...no, the voice has deteriorated a lot...
But her voice is still beautiful, in my opinion. The musical arrangement was very good.
40 years later, but still good. We should all be that good.
She does well with her control of her aging vocals. She's an unsung legend in the world of prog rock.
Not even close to a lot as you said. But is totally natural at her age that her voice won't be the same. On the other hand, is amazing how well she still can perform this song.
