Breathtaking. You know when you pick up that rare book, when you don't know it's going to speak directly to you, and you can't put it down and you stay up half the night to finish it? That's how I feel about this performance at Invalides. I just found it on RUclips. I had never heard of her before and was just looking for some background music to do some work. I was captivated--so very much in the moment, in the present, in the ecstasy of deep connection to my soul. Her music transcends boundaries of spirit, scale, and place. It pauses time and sucks you in to be and experience. Thank you for that amazing performance and for sharing your talent with the world. May we find peace, joy, and acceptance.
I saw her live in Rotterdam this year and had to chance to talk to her after the show. I hesitated for a bit, because meeting an artist in real life can be a real bummer if they turn out to be really arrogant or lofty, but I’m glad I took the change! I can't explain how lovely and kind hearted she is in real life. She’s truly one of a kind. Stay Awesome Hania!
She's so lovely. I saw her in Early July (2022) in a small church in Toronto, Canada. She played three 20 minute sets. In the end, an old man hobbled from the back of the church with a walker, and presented her with flowers. She broke down crying and thanked us. "I'm nobody. I'm absolutely nobody," she said with gratitude. The church was a dive. It was a late night. She was sensational and so very kind-hearted. And seeing her live was beyond belief.
@@boshkodjordjevich7424 That must have been amazing in a small venue like that! I just found Hania on RUclips in May, and live only 1 hour away from Toronto - too bad! I could have been there! I would have loved to see that old man present her with flowers! Thank you for your recounting of this. So humble of her.
Is Cercle the best channel on youtube? Yes, of course. And just give them the well deserved Nobel Peace Prize for bringing people together with lovely music!
it´s actually kinda cute that she looks and sounds so nervous while talking to the people but when she´s performing the world stops, honestly the best find of the year thank you cercle for giving the opportunity to these artists so we get to know em, 100% new hania fan she´s just amazing her music is so unique and beatiful
I came across this by chance and was instantly entranced. I've never heard such strange and beautiful music. At first we might be impatient -- where is this going?-- because we are all so impatient, consuming things in little bites all day long and hurrying along. Here, in this space, we can sit still, surrender, and be carried by the music. Hania asks the audience at the end: "did you like it? was it okay? because I wasn't sure." Dear Hania, your audience was so still and silent because they were utterly transfixed by the wonder of this performance. This music shows us the soul, shows us how beautiful the neurology of humans is. I feel sadness but also amazement at how young people can create such beauty when all around is stress, demise, even horror. Hania and her band take that melancholy too and make something beautiful of it.
Excellent description of all the emotions that one goes through as their music progresses. This youth is more soul and heart than people and they have a gift of being with a higher vibration.
The algorithm has brought me here today and I could not stop listening. I have listened to it twice now and bought concert tickets. Not one artist has ever done that to me ever. Simply out of this world
Just several days ago I had a chance to visit a concert in Lodz, Poland where Hania Rani received an award on the music festival - Golden Ear. Concert was unbelievable, that was in small venue and the silence and focus of the attendees was speaking as much as music. Everything was blacked out only few small lights around pianos on stage. I been to some concerts, including masterminds like Sting, Peter Gabriel or Ennio Morricone, but I never seen so many people sitting, heads supported by hands on knees, not even watching just focusing on what they hear. Unbelievable. Concert started with her going into the mood and feel, mixing various elements from songs plus custom freeflow in improvisation, at least that was my feeling. To feel and receive all of these details, focus you had to achieve was, at times, hard to describe, perhaps even close to painful. Still, to be honest here Hania - perhaps because she had complimentary team - went beyond herself. I wish this particular concert will be released on the CD/Vinyl, as it is truly legendary, and sound quality is just fantastic. As I mentioned after concert, wishing you mrs Hania fruitful well deserved international career, thank you for sharing part of your soul and allowing us to explore this wonderful place.
:3 Nice. It was in my feed. Indeed! Super good!!!! Live performance in France 👏🏽👏🏽🇫🇷🫶🏽🤝!¡ 🇮🇱Amazing musicians. Electric keyboards, grand piano, loopers, cello, drums, trumpet, vocals, etc.
If you like her your should try Nils Fram. In fact, a lot of this performance seems heavily inspired by Nils' performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival .
@@GubaKornel Thanks for the recommendation. I listened to a couple of his sets. Not bad. Honestly though, his interpretation of JMJ's work isn't my cup of tea. He took an inventive and original piece of music and added cliched EDM devices, quantized it, and normalized the tempo making it boring when compared to the original. I like his original music better.
The moment you know that someone is a true artist when you listen for over one hour of their music which is totally not in your favor and you admire every minute of it ❤
I visit Sweden every summer to stay with friends and we always find a concert to attend.I’ve been to concerts over there over many years from Iggy Pop to Robert Plant,Kris Kristofferson to Bryan Ferry. My friends suggested we go see Hania Rani in Stockholm in May of this year as they had read a bit about her and were curious as to what to expect. The concert we attended we all agreed blew absolutely everything else we’d seen out of the water. This Paris concert is beyond wonderful and will be watched many times over.
Omg this was exactly my thought when I first heard Hania Rani! Do they know of each other? Would they like to collaborate? Gosh I hope it will happen while these treasures still both walk the Earth

What I love about Hania Rani is that her pieces have different musical arrangement during concerts. It's like a knew song every time. Amazing concert, as always.
I love how, no matter how angelic and profound a performance an artist gives, they're still unsure whether their audience enjoys it. Humility of the truly gifted knows no bounds
well, the crowd didn't show ANY appreciation during the entire concert! I was flabbergasted by how cold was the reception! It was as if they had shown up at the wrong concert and didn't know her music. This was an AMAZING performance of the entire band and the 3.5M views (of which many dozens are mine already) shows that
@@OrtoInScatola Maybe in France, like Canada to a degree, the audiences stay quiet out of the way, to not interfere with the magic? If this was inside the responses of airy hush and awe would be heard. AntonSalvik, that's true and also so great she has the confidence to play for themselves and the experience, trusting their arrangements and plans. it's really fantastic all around isn't it?!
Well, many artists are tortured souls and often lack confidence. So what you may be witnessing is not humility, but insecurity. Not sure that's the case here, just sayin'.

HOLY moly!! This is just superb brilliant prog music. just…wow.... what a perfect harmony in this performance. From the bottom (and top) of my soul, this very tonight I became a HANIA RANI fan. I have never heard someone handle a piano in this way. Maybe one of the best concerts I have ever watched (minus the odd ones I´ve been to live in person…)
I think many of us need a little more space for their emotions to flow. Our everyday lives have become so busy and we rush through emotions. For me it feels more like pressure that I had built up and the music helps me to let go.
@Herringomann your comment is self-contradicting and nonsensical. Can you please remove it or correct it? I'm asking this as a personal mission to help improve the quality of comments on RUclips.
I think most of the time it is not their free choice, but a burden that has unfortunately been placed on them and that they have not yet been able to fully deal with.

I would never have believed that someone would manage to make it to the same level as Pink Floyd. After 5 seconds, I was trapped. I actually play the guitar, but now I've unpacked my keyboard instruments again. Thank you for this great video!
Love this lady. She is one of those artists whose art comes directly from the center of her being. In this concert she pulls the other musicians from the center of each moment into her miracle of creation. And we get to watch and listen.
I decided to queue up a Cercle set with dinner before curling up with my book, but so much for that plan - both my dinner and book are laying forgotten and I am curled up in bed watching this for the second time in a row with even more tears streaming down my face than the first time through…
Feeling it is living it. Never heard of this artist before and was about to move on thinking this it was just another pretentious group. But here I am, my second play through. Mesmerised by her and something I just can't put my finger on.
Deeply grateful that Cercle gave Hania Rani the stage she deserves. Experienced here live in Cologne and it was just the best musical experience I ever had. Thank you Hania! Thank you for making music!
It’s autumn 🍂 in Missouri-driving through the Ozarks with windows down and this playing, even the falling leaves seem to be dancing on their way down. So sublime
Thank you Hania Rani and Cercle for this performance ! I think that is a good idea to promote Hania's Rani Music, a composer who began only with piano music, it's incredible to study her philosophy, her music esthetic, and I'm very interested by messages that she transmit with songs. Be the same, and have fun for the next, bye !
A Esja... to najcudowniejsze dzieło, jakie kiedykolwiek powstało.
@@AnthonyBrowne-bb9qi Oh please... so when she is on the keyboard of the Grand that's all computers as well, correct? She uses different techniques and tech and physical instruments to do her music... Get over it, you look like a fool with that comment.
@@AnthonyBrowne-bb9qi Keep digging... I can guarantee you I'm way older than you and was involved in music from early teens and carried that forward to my kids and supported their musical careers. My son is a guitar player and was in several rock bands and is a degreed sound engineer & toured with several rock bands across North America, Europe & Asia in addition to consulting to Microsoft & Boeing during special events. He was also the producer for some Albums for some up-and-coming rock bands in Seattle. My daughter can play the flute, French horn, alto sax, & tenor sax and she played at Carnegie Hall in New York and toured with the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps & helped them win the world championship in 2003. And just who do you think gave them their passion for music? And just for the record, my music never went beyond high school, as my father passed when I was 17 and I went to work to help support my mom. But I made sure my kids had every opportunity in music, and it was my hope that they pursued it, which they did. Any reasonably smart person knows there are electronics on loops along with her piano playing along with the other instruments; and I'm just sure a prestigious venue like the Invalides in Paris is going to sell out a concert for a classically taught, award winning pianist that was all "computer generated" music... But that's okay, there are a lot of people who make complete asses of themselves in RUclips comment sections who are not very smart.

This synth intro gives me pur chills, then comes the piano and finaly her voice so clear, airy and melodious Music out of this world. Sublime, it directly touches my soul. Hypnotized by her beauty, her gestures, the dexterity of her fingers on the keys. The impression of traveling very far without moving. Thank you Hania, angel of the music.
In 2020 l had BBC Radio playing in the background as l was pottering around the kitchen on a sunny spring when l heard an excerpt from the Esja album. I paused to listen to the music being played and the commentary by the journalist and immediately went to my streaming music account and found Hania Rani. I have followed her music since that spring day, and l never tire of her compositions. A huge talent, who l hope some day see in concert.
Hmmm... using the arpeggiator on a Prophet 08 for Klaus Schulze-like patterns... not my idea of revolutionary synth work. Check out Autechre for some insane synth work...

Breathtaking and impressive how she is full present in the moment. I rarely heard a full concert on RUclips. This one I have heard in full length 3 times the first day and 4 times the second day. These sounds keep me addicted. Not able to hit the stop or pause button. May RUclips has hacked my algorithmen.
Prawie w każdej wolnej chwili klikam w to wykonanie i słucham do prawie samego końca, potem cofam, znów odtwarzam poszczególne kawałki.
Heard 'Hello' on the radio a few days ago. Had never heard Hania's music before. Have been compelled to seek out her work on Spotify and here. Feels like I have found something I have been seeking for decades. Hope to be able to experience it live one day.

I'm gonna be 62 in few days and last night I discovered this wonderful composer/musician/singer. Her music takes hold of my soul and takes it to other plains. Bravo!
I'm 62 too and only just discovered Hania Rani a few months ago - tonight saw her live at the Recital Centre in Melbourne - spell-binding, entrancing, magical, a standing ovation.
I like that she doesn't need tattoos or vintage clothes or guage earrings, artificially colored hair and irony. She can just be her ordinary self, a regular girl, and make incredible music. There's no pretense. Just art.
I get your point. But it doesn't matter what she wears or doesn't wear or whether or not she has tattoo's… it's just beautiful music by her AND the other musicians in the video.
What wonderful concert!! I saw her in concert in Brisbane last night. She was alone on stage and was in awe of her brilliance. She is amazing, magical and her voice so ethereal!! Thank you, Hania Rani 🙏🏼
Warm congratulations for the Fryderyk award, the most important music award in Poland. And I will continue to listen to this magical concert in the royal courtyard of the Invalides.

I was a dreamer when I was 18 years old, I wanted to be on the stage and play, to share my life experience with people, now I'm 30, so much has happened, life did it differently as I wanted, seemed there were things to learn, and I was so exhausted with everything, all those dreams were far away from me, as I saw your performances, I had to cry, I feel that part in me which couldn't get the chance to appear is coming back, I am inspired again by you, so often I play you and just look at you, look at what you do, and admire you. I feel I'm back :-)
@@schymusic3359 you can certainly still do it. Hania is 32. One of my other favorite artists started making music at 40. Do not let anything stop you. The best time is now. "Dancing With Ghosts" - I'm just blown away by that one. In fact the entire set is next level special, I watched this when it premiered then put it on my mp3 player and drove up onto a hill and listened to it all over again as it slowly got dark. Phenomenal.
I think with this she took her songwriting to another level. She is amazing pianist/composer and I think Leaving, Home etc are not songs, just vocal-supported ambient compositions. Her songs till now were rather drafty (Don't brake my heart) and here Ghosts are a product of seemingly hard work made on writing a complete song. Great to hear this result, it's of highest quality.
Wczoraj pierwszy raz natrafiłem na muzykę Hani. Magiczne intro, dwa pierwsze akordy na fortepianie. Dwa akordy zaledwie, a moje serce wypełniła radość, lekkość, wzruszenie. There is something magical going on here that I can't explain. But it reminds me of the spirit and joy of early JMJ music, also by coincidence performed in Paris. If I weren't designing architectural landscapes, I would be delighted to be designing sonic landscapes, anywhere close to this. The creative arts are international and are one thing that should never divide us.

Hania shits on Beethoven @@paldigital666
First. :3
:3 Nice. It was in my feed. Indeed! Super good!!!! Live performance in France 👏🏽👏🏽🇫🇷🫶🏽🤝!¡ 🇮🇱Amazing musicians. Electric keyboards, grand piano, loopers, cello, drums, trumpet, vocals, etc.
I grew up with Jean-Michel Jarre, now I will live with listening to Hania Rani happily till I die.

The moment you know that someone is a true artist when you listen for over one hour of their music which is totally not in your favor and you admire every minute of it ❤
Well said

Absolut zutreffend!

Oh my! Only just discovered her! Missed that concert in Stockholm … if I’d only known!!

Great words. Subtle pointed. Thanks:)
well, the crowd didn't show ANY appreciation during the entire concert!

I don't know if this is because I am exhausted, this makes me cry. It is such pure beauty, bliss. Soft and strong. Fragile and invincible.
I think many of us need a little more space for their emotions to flow. Our everyday lives have become so busy and we rush through emotions. For me it feels more like pressure that I had built up and the music helps me to let go.

Never heard of this artist before and was about to move on thinking this
it was just another pretentious group. But here I am, my second play through. Mesmerised by her and something I just can't put my finger on.
I also had big plans today, but i now just lay mesmerized and listening to this set, feeling a lot of different and forgotten emotions.
I really enjoyed this. what a combination of artists. I would love to see them live, but it sounds like it was a one time thing.
Deeply grateful that Cercle gave Hania Rani the stage she deserves. Experienced here live in Cologne and it was just the best musical experience I ever had. Thank you Hania! Thank you for making music!

There is something magical going on here that I can't explain. But it reminds me of the spirit and joy of early JMJ music, also by coincidence performed in Paris. Any one knows the name of the intro song ? The electrònic intro are one of my favorites.
@@JowiBcn Sergio Costa somewhere in the comments says: The first song (unreleased) is actually called "24.03". I'll never find your soul starts at 05:57.

I really love Hania's music both solo and with the band. The band and backing vocals add another dimension.
