Nosler bullet?
could very well just be the Hornady Vmax, or it could be the Nosler bullet. Based on the fact the 35gr bullet is the NTX bullet, I would ASSUME this is the Hornady version?
@@BuffRANGE Oh they do a NTX? Yeah probably just a Hornady then. It’s just I saw the black polymer and thought Nosler Varmegedodn.
@@rifleshooterchannel208 yeah they introduced a 35gr frangible load too. I'll try to get the review done for Thurs
@@BuffRANGE To your knowledge did anyone ever load a 36 (or 30 for that matter) grain Barnes Varmint Grenade commercially in 5.7? If so how did it perform?
The first time I ever loaded 5.7 was with Alliant Blue Dot and a 36gr Varmint grenade. I can’t remember the chrono readings but I remember it was just a hair slower than SS198 in both FN guns, I never did much more with it but always wondered how it would do in gel.
@@rifleshooterchannel208 I think Elite did? He's changed loads more than girls change shoes though.
corndog
!!!
I suspect all fn spec loadings are for the p90 or ps90 in barrel length. Could they be worried about jacket separation?
IE like the jacket ripping apart when hitting the target, or do you mean coming apart when leaving the barrel?
Elite drives the FN loadings hundreds of feet faster than FN does, and jacket separation is not an issue.
@@BuffRANGE when leaving barrel. I meant maybe they were afraid to push their projectiles any faster?
@@gonzogriff That's not really a concern. 5.7 uses common 1:9 twist barrels. These bullets were originally designed to be driven at .223 velocities and faster.
Cant watch the enemy censor you. Come to rumble and stop feeding the enemy, please.
This is on Rumble FYI ;)
Weak sauce. I carry Glock 40 10mm with KKM 6.5 barrel going to chrono it today or tomorrow shooting liberty civil defense. I expect to get 26-2700 fps. AR15 power.
It took a 16" barrel for me to get 2600 fps from LCD in 9mm. I was getting 2,300 fps from a 4.5". Do you think that load will get 300 fps from 2"? Definitely let us know!
@@BuffRANGE according to my garmin xero 25 shot average (yeah I chrono’d well over a whole box lol) was 2576 with 2609 max fps so basically 2600. I’m real happy with that. 2609 is about 906 ft lbs energy where in one of your videos 55 grain .223 PMC from 16” ar15 averaged 2775 which is 940 ft lbs. so very close to ar15 power or a 10.5”SBR shooting full 5.56 loads
@@user-oy9zy4ds9m that’s awesome. I need to get a Garmin.
@@BuffRANGE slowest shot was 2543
@@BuffRANGE I’ve got 2 of safeline defense’s IIIA+ special threat panels designed to stop LCD 9mm and 5.7x28. I doubt they will stop LCD 10mm especially out of my 6.5” lmao . Btw couple weeks ago I shot a Paraclete speed plate the red version for ‘exotic pistols rounds’ against m39b from a Glock 19 and then from a 7.5” 9mm ar , all rounds went thru it but the 7.5 inch with much more authority . The Glock 19 they struggled thru it but still did
It’s pronounced fee-oh-chee
is that "Chee" like Cheese, or "chee" like she?
@@BuffRANGE like Gucci
@@yolo_burrito I don't now how to even say that either.
What do you think is the hottest and heaviest you can load a 5.7 for a pistol round?
You’re going to top a 55gr load out about 1500 fps. It’s really meant for 27-34gr loads in the 2100-2400 fps range :)
@@BuffRANGE Gotcha. So, you'd be more inclined to load it slightly lighter and faster?
@@Ambusher1st Yes indeed! This caliber was designed for 28-40gr bullets. Long copper solids or the aluminum core bullets shine here, but the aluminum core variants could use refinement for better performance :D
Thank th3 heavens
Ohh lord jesus there's not a fire under these loads :D
@BuffRANGE I love 5.7, and the blue tips, I don't like the AmericanEagle Brand, I have some green tips I got at gun show in Florida about 4 years ago, like real green tips. I just looked up black tips they are selling them for 50 dollars a round. Sad face.
@@ihaveasandwichinmypocket yeah Ss190 is about $9/rd.
So if someone would make a 17wsm pistol, I wonder how it would compare to the 5.7x28? 25gr 17wsm vs 35gr 5.7x28?
