Awesome video, straight to the point without so much un-needed talk. 😊

Cool stuff, I order myself something like that about 40 years ago from a fishermen/hunters magazine, wish I can find that thing now that I see yours, I think I used it for about 10 years and then, I kind of lost tracks of it... thx for the video my friend! 😅❤👍

Love mine, got it a few months ago and haven't regretted it, barring unforeseen circumstances, I can see this set lasting a lifetime

Just bought it. Some ppl skipped the canteen cos they already had a nalgene oasis. Not bad btw, But this one is one more that allows you to boil/heat water. And no plastic is sexier imho. Would be nice to be able to buy a dedicated stove (already being sold, but with a mess kit).

Close the handles and it should sit straight

i got a bottle from this company. I have to say that it was a bit dissapointing. The bottom was pressed into place, not one piece as the ad images showed, so a weak point, and the LID/cap!!! that noise when removing the lid, not only is it awful, but the constant griding of metal on metal IS leaving metal dust in your water. I tested mine, poured water into a white plastic cup, let it settle, and it had a decent amount of metal on the bottom of the cup. I dont think drinking titanium powder is a great plan. I took a dremmel tool and polished the lid, it takes a lot of work as its titanium, but at least now the metal dust is gone. All in all I wouldnt buy from this company again, although the bottle is still ok and being used daily, its not worth the hassle.

      whats ur better option?

    • @spr00sem00se

@@azzonfire5088 I think that a stainless bottle is better in every way except weight. If weight is an issue, then a BPA free nalgene is a good option. Ultimately, if the bottle is going to grind the coating off and leave it in your water, then its not a good choice regardless of how much it may or may not weigh

I had the same issues with my Pathfinder TI. It's the same re-branded Chinese product that they seem to no longer sell on their website, self reliance outfitters.

@@irregularrex4004 yes. I saw the pathfinder option, then I hunted down the original option to try it out before buying from Dave. I have used his site before and I'm happy with his gear and ethos. The fact he stopped selling it shows that he isn't happy with the product. Also helikon reseller have the pathfinder gear on sale, so a sign it's not going to be restocked. I will get his stainless gear, but I'm not happy with the lids on these bottles.

Meh, titanium is not very reactive, like gold, passes right through ya... 😆
