    Have had one for a while now. You can use this as a wood stove, burner stove stand (firebox makes the burner), and alcohol stove stand (boundless voyage and trangia stoves work). I recommend and enjoy it!

    A little tip. use two-three smaller longer sticks in the feed holes. And keep some larger chunked pieces. The smaller sticks will make the most heat for searing, and the chunked pieces thrown in there will turn into coals for later lower heat applications.

    Have 2 SS versions. The black wind block is ridiculous to get the pins in. I use it as hot pot holder. I use aluminum foil as a wind break. Also, if you line the case w/aluminum foil it will help keep the case from turning black. Cut a piece of hardware cloth to fit the bottom and it will burn wood pellets easily. Just drizzle some hand sanitizer over the top of the pellets and you are good to go! I cut 3" diameter branches into 3" lengths...split it 4 ways and you can place them on end in the burn chamber with a hole in the center for your fire starter and fine twig or two to light. Many vids on this. Nice vid! Enjoyed watching.

      Glad that you enjoyed this video and thanks for sharing your tips and thoughts here! Yes I completely agree with you on the windshield, definitely not a big fan, in fact I later on talked about this in the part 2 of this review ruclips.net/video/4hS__XEDEDA/видео.html interesting tip about lining the case with foil to stop it from turning black, it's a good idea. BTW I never thought about using hand sanitizer and pellet to help get this thing going, makes sense though.

      Yeah I cut my carbon felt up
      For other things. An just bought a msr windscreen that goes with the wisperlite stoves. It’s a soft but very heavy duty like foil. Was able to cut that one windscreen in 2 an make two out of it.

      @@AquaTech225 I've heard about some folks complaining about getting cut by those windscreens, have you had that problem yourself?

    I've been using the Nano Ti for about 5 years and love it. I use it primarily for individual cooking on the trail.
    I did pick up a Firebox Freestyle a couple years ago and find it coming with me most of the time now. Only slightly heavier than the Nano, but larger and more versatile. I really like it a lot. Highly recommend checking ut out.

      Thank you, it does look very versatile. It looks like they have the titanium version now, I may consider this as the next item to be added to my collection.

    i have the ss one and ive only used it once so far. i learned that you need to use very dry wood in it and nothing even kinda green, crisp clean snap breaks only. the wood i used was from a fallen mostly dead branch that had been sitting in the summer heat for a few weeks and when broken some fibers where still connected. every time i put the pan on it would snuff it out and i needed to keep using a pocket bellows to maintain enough heat to keep going. i must say there was one thing that truly disturbed me about your video, and that was how hot you let that moka pot get

      Thanks for sharing your experience here, you are absolutely right about using very dry wood really helps to get fire going. I got this since December 2022, been mostly using the alcohol stove with it, it’s only recently that I have started experimenting with using wood fire and it’s been fun so far, my kids love helping me gathering twigs to build fire with this thing as well.

      Good spot re the moka pot, but isn't that why it has a pressure release valve on the side? To me it looked like a case of not being screwed on all the way, rather than a build up of too much pressure?

      @Gadget.Review  Год назад +1

      @@HHashi yeah you are right, I didn’t screw it all the way in .
