  • Struggling with alcohol use? You're not alone. Many people have drinking habits they’d like to change. JED Expert Dr. Benjamin Veness helps us recognize when alcohol might be a problem in our lives, offering tools and strategies to help cut back on alcohol use, abstain from drinking in certain situations, or even start the journey toward getting sober.
If you're trying to change your drinking habits, it's important to think about the types of activities you're doing and where alcohol is going to be available. Talking to your friends about wanting to cut back can be a great first step because they can offer moral support, assistance, and even help think of different social activities that don't include drinking. Some other strategies for cutting back on alcohol use can include getting rid of alcohol at home, alternating alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, or drinking mocktails.
