I haven't tried ESSIE yet but i've been wearing OPI. And i think there's no lack from OPI. I really enjoy OPI so much. Btw, this is my lil bro's account. My lil bro doesn't wear nail polish, lol.
I love both of them, but Essie gel couture wears better on my nails. I have better wear time with regular Essie polish, than with regular OPI polish, also. One thing that has made a huge difference for me is using a sticky base coat. I find base coats that Polyvinyl Butral in the ingredients help polish adhere to my nails soooo much better!! **Sorry, I am a weirdo about checking ingredients when I find what works! Polish used to not even wear on my nails for one day (would peel off in one big sheet) until I found sticky base coat, and this was the ingredient that made the difference!
Guys I think it's me... regular polish does not last on me for more than 2 days.I have done it all, tried it all. But Gel polish has changed it! I am afraid I am a convert.
I am completely shocked. In my experience the OPI infinite shine is absolutely not at all better than regular polish for me It chips on me within 2 days and I own a lot of their polish because I like colors Essie on the other hand preforms s much better
Hi Veronica! This reminded me of a video I did long time ago with both OPI Infinite Shine and Essie Gel Couture and I used each brand on every second finger. Check it out :) ruclips.net/video/2YhOe7swfGo/видео.html
@@TheSalonLife The Base Coat for the OPI is Infinite Shine, but the Polish you have from OPI is from their normal Nail Lacquer, not from the same line.
This might have been too late. But based on myown experience with OPI polishes. You need tp use the whole Infinite Shine line for the best longetivity. Otherwise it just chip like crazy .
I love both. Can't compare each other. Btw, i didn't see you use a UV LED lamp for drying her nail polish. Are they dried easily without using UV LED lamp?
So much prep work for an ordinary polish. I used to go for ordinary polish, Essie mostly, but got tired of both the drying time and the short life of the polish on my nails. Then I learned how to use gel extensions and never looked back.
I love ordinary polish, my nails grow too fast to be using gel. Mine lasts more than a week if I let it, with virtually no chips. That didn't use to happen though, but good stick basecoat and topcoat makes a difference.
How is it possible? I do my manicure properly, I use the whole system by Essie (Here to stay Base coat, colour, Gel setter top coat) and one day after I have chips almost on the every nail 😭 in addition, after one months of nail polishing my nails are damaged - the top layer of the nail goes away 😭
How do you do your manicure? Do you do any buffing? There could be so many reasons why the polish chips. Here is a video I did that might help.ruclips.net/video/ZCI_mbas7Ho/видео.html
Usually whatever the brand recommends. If they don’t recommend anything particular 99% alcohol is what I would use. My pro choice is EnVogue Prep www.envogueont.com/acc-prep-clean and CND Scrubfresh for CND Shellac and Vinylux Dazzle Dry- their nail prep only with DD

I uae sticky base coat with Essie Gel Couture, also- and any polish (whether it says to or not)
Which sticky base coat do you use?

Opi is better for me, because it last longer. I polished my nails with Essie and before the days in it was peeling off.
Both of these colors are amazing 💖
So classic!
L❤VE THE LENGTH, COLOR.....L💚VE THE SHAPE. VERY NICE WORK. YOU ARE VERY DEDICATED. BLESSING.🤗
Thank you so much for your kind comment Taylor! 🤗

I agree 100%! This video may not take into account that your dominate hand chips way more because you use it for so much more

@@JadenYukifan28 hi Brooke! It’s infinite shine. I just changed the brush/cap. I don’t even own that color in regular OPI line :)

Great video ! I enjoy both but OPI has more color options
Very good point. I feel exactly the same. OPI has excellent color selection but I don’t like their brush
That color looks great on her! wow!
Thank you Elena!

Hi :) These are polishes and they don’t need a lamp to cure.
I’ve used both. I like the Essie better.
Those gauze wipes are awesome!

Yes but I have many clients who are not interested in permanent solutions and maintenance. Also many people like short nails. To each their own :)

Cool video. How long do wait to dry in between coats?
Thank you! I can't remember now but the video is in real time unless I specifically mention a cut and dry time and how many minutes
@@TheSalonLife thank you

The color is so gorgeous. Would anyone know if a similar shade is available in Gelish gel polish... Thank you!!!
I use CND Shellac and "Black Cherry" would be close

Essie for me!
nice video, but why don't you cut all the cuticles & hangnails? is it a customer preference? ❤️
I explain this in detail in this video :)

Moral of the story.....use dazzle dry.
Yes but sadly Dazzle Dry is only available in USA ;(
Is that dark red nail polish is essie Gel Couture Longwear Nail Polish, Deep Red, Spiked With Style, 0.46 Ounce
Hi Nicole! No, it’s “Model Clicks”. I say that at the beginning of the video :)
Opi had a base coat Essie didn't, 4 coats of polish for opi and only 3 for Essie !! 🤔
Yes, Essie has a base coat built in and I'm using both of them according to instructions to see how both of them perform
🥰
please review morgan taylor nextttttt
Once they open us up and open our distributors (we are still under a lockdown) I definitely will. I really want to see the colors with my eyes :))
