Good to Go used to be my favorite top coat, but now I love Essie Speed Setter
Gorgeous traditional color that goes with everything and works for every day to work to formal occasions.
But you know how I love my reds/burgundies. Almost as much as I love purples and greens.

May I ask, how does the client feels when you use two different top coats for one manicure?
When I film a manicure the clients are not paying for the service. It just wouldn’t be fair to be charging them for sitting quiet and listening me talking to the camera so I decided to do it this way.

I love watching you work. I get so many tips and tricks. I started cutting my cotton rounds and placing them on my nails, this worked great for glitter removal! I just let them sit for 2-3 min and the cleanup was a breeze.

I've tried Essie No Chips topcoat and Essie "Second Shine around" topcoats, both really good thin strengthening topcoats!
11 days and not one broken or torn nail, yay! Just small chips at the tops of my nail tips, easily, gently filed away! Wow! 😮😅!
I have long bendy nails and Essie "Here to Stay" basecoat has saved my painful weak nails, from too much cheapo gel manicures! Im after the " Speed Setter topcoat"! Essie is economical, big 13.5ml bottles! I like Seche Vite Quick Dry topcoat, but its so thick, shrinks back nail edges and doesnt last! Essie for me, gel polish only on my toenails, gel doesnt chip off my toenails! Trial and error! Uk 🇬🇧 4.4.24

I bought this colour, it is beautiful, but so patchy and difficult to apply. Had to use 3 coats, which I never have to with other polishes.

I like that the Essie smoothie base coat dries matte because then you can know when it is dry by just looking at it. I am rooting for that hand to wear better! The Bordeaux color is absolutely lovely. The Orly polish did not wear well for her! Did the client say if anything unusual happened with the left hand or maybe she is left handed? I hope you can get the Essie new pink treatment. I saw that announced this week too.
She is right handed and she did say she did some cleaning without any gloves so maybe that’s it?
I’m going to see if I can find someone who is flying from US to Spain and maybe they can buy and bring me that Essie treatment? I can’t wait to get it :))

Hi 👋 could you share why you prefer a dry manicure ? What would the benefit be ? Just curious as I haven’t seen it done this way before I’ve always heard it was healthier to use oils etc . So I’m super interested to learn why. Thanks !
Hi Ash! Yes it's a very good idea to use oils but not before polishing the nails. You still have to wipe the nail very clean with prep acetone/alcohol so what's the point of using it?

I have this Essie polish on my nails right now!! It’s a classic. Might need to get a new bottle. Mine is super old and just starting to get a little thick. Still workable, got the polish to apply, but it wasn’t as smooth as it used to be. I’ve had my bottle for 10or 12 years so it might be time to let it go.
Since I mentioned that, how you properly dispose of nail polish?? I usually give mine away or trash them. I know it’s not good for the environment, but if you have any tips, maybe talk about it in a video so we can all reference to it. Thank you 😊

Probably the sunlight! My UV lamps got discoloured from the sun, the side that was facing the window.

@@TheSalonLife Same, I use Essie's Strong Start base coat, then 2 layers of this colour, and for the last step I use Essie's Speed Setter top coat. But I also really like the gel couture top coat from Essie. I love this brand, their polishes are very long lasting.

@@TheSalonLife Ooh, that is a nice one, too. Essie Off Tropic is quite a bit darker but it's still very obviously green. You've probably found an image online already, I guess. 😀

The cuticles look so dry. Did you use any cuticle oil?

Ive noticed lately in salon no one is cutting cuticles. So its just push back and then apply gel polish or whatever.
Cuticle needs to be removed before the gel polish application, otherwise gel polish or polish will peel. What you are referring is probably that they are not cutting nail folds (or skin folds) which is living skin.
When you push back skin fold you need to remove the cuticle.

Hello Cleopatra. I explained it in the video :) I removed the cuticle but I didn't cut her skin (Proximal Nail Fold, which is living skin).
I offer and strongly believe in gentle manicures that don't involve cutting skin :)

I really like the Revlon nail polishes but I can never seem to get them to go on without bubbling. Maybe you can demo it like you did the Orly. I used Romantique like I use all my other high-end nail polishes...and the Revlon nail polish was terrible because it bubbled and never dried. Maybe some dupes would be a good video too because of Revlon colors are so classic. Hope you like my ideas and make a video on it. Thanks!

I think this is more of a professional nail paint change not a manicure. just what i feel.
Polish change is a polish change, without shaping the nails and removing the cuticle.
I do not cut skin fold as a part of my manicure. Here is why skin fold should not be cut:
