That polish removal was A+. I keep my toenails pretty short too. However, much of what is represented in pedicure spaces is a longer look which doesn’t really complement me. It’s nice to see a shorter nail for pedicures.
I wish you could train nail techs everywhere! It often feels like nail techs aren’t actually focused on the nail and cuticle health and getting that clean look/feel
I wanted to watch this video because every year during summer, I struggle with my crusty feet and unwillingness to pay for a professional pedicure 😅 however, this is now round 3 of trying to watch it because I keep falling asleep! You have such a nice and calm way of talking and the music... totally relaxing 😴 Edit: I fell asleep AGAIN
I bought Kerasal on the internet, I couldn't find it in the store. It really did a big difference on my hands and feet. The skin on the back of my hands is quite ruined. Every winter the skin flares up, a little bit of cold, and it starts to crack and these scars became quite deep. Kerasal helped me smoothen the skin. It's much better now. I had a little bit of a problem with an ingrown toe nail, it looks like that Kerasal healed the infection and that the skin and the nail loosened, became softer, and suddenly I didn't have a problem anymore.
I did my pedicure this morning. I have been following your videos and my pedicures are looking good. I started to use a thin metal file instead of my glass file, and it was so much easier. I forgot to use my buffer though. I will watch this video again next week before I change my polish. Thank you for creating such an easy to follow video. ❤
Thank you! ❤ I've been wanting to get a pedicure, but the money in the pocket isn't doing so well these days and they're very expensive in the salons (and you still don't get satisfied with the result)
@@cherylstarr4239I think we have 2 options: 1. Invest in a foot massaging device (No idea if it provides results as good as a massage from a massage at the salon, so research is recommended) 2. Exchange pedicures/massages with someone. You do it for them and they do it for you. I've seen employees at a salon do that before the official opening time of the salon.
I sit on a chair with my heel rested on the edge as well. However, when it comes to applying the polish, I keep my toes horizontal to reduce the risk of the polish running toward the skin nail fold. The shimmer nail polish looks lovely on your nails. Thanks for showing us the process, I really should do pedicures more often than I do.
Thank you so much for this video Anna, excellent as usual. I was very disappointed with the professional nail care available where I live, outrageously expensive and it was ruining my nails. I restarted doing my own manicure following your guidance and advice and my nails have never looked better (let alone the money I’m saving 😂). Now I plan to do the same with my pedicure.
Thank you for this video, Anna! I usually go for bold colours on my toes (during summer, that is - I hardly ever polish my toenails in other seasons), but you just inspired me to try a simpler look. Since discovering glass nail tools through your videos I switched to those and find I hardly ever need to use cuticle remover anymore! Urea, salicylic acid, and regular maintenance sessions do the trick. All thanks to you. :-)
You make it look so effortless! Just bought Kerasal for my fingernails, it's doing an amazing job so far. We often forget about feet and toenails, thank you for drawing our attention to them. I'll keep practicing thanks to your guidance:)
Those were the most beautiful toes!!! Thank you for showing how you do your pedicure! I myself put foot creme every morning on the whole feet and wear socks for a while when I eat breakfast. I don't want to do it in the evening because my bedsheet will be spotty?. In the evening before bed, I do oiling the tonails (and the fingernails).
Just ordered the new kit, excited to have it! Thanks for creating it and for all the things I've learned from you since I started watching -- that was back when you had like 10,000 subscribers or something. So happy for the growth of the channel! You really know what you're talking about. :)
Oh gosh, thank you so much! Yes, the channel grew so fast, when we came to Spain we had about 13,000 subscribers, we are almost at 200K :) So blessed! I just love what I do and I'm so happy I can share it :)

@@TheSalonLife Thanks for your reply. I have sooooooo much dead skin/cuticles that even when I have tried to maintain once a week, it takes ages. I take after my mom. She also has this “problem.” Each salon we go to, they are always surprised by it.
I love your channel!!!! I haven't been able to really get my nails to where I want them to be mostly due to a 30 year long nail biting habit. But I wanted to support you so I purchased one of your kits! :) So excited! Thank you for being so wonderful.
Perfect pedicure! I will try to do my next pedicure in this position. I usually sit down and cross one leg over the other then bend down to reach my toes.

Toll, vielen Dank. Ich habe vor ein paar Jahren die Kosmetik - und die Fusspflegeausbildung (kosmetisch) gemacht, aber nie praktiziert. Gut, hier nochmal erinnert zu werden!
Great tips, I’m hopeful I can do my own pedicures now! The hardest part is cutting the big toe nails as they’ve become in grown over the past couple of years.
@@TheSalonLife it’s not due to fungal infection thankfully. Just how my nails grow. Maybe because of the shoes I wore. I don’t know why really. They’re just hard to clip by myself. My pedicure lady does a great job!
One of your best videos ! Thank you for doing this ! Was wondering what you suggest for cleaning and disinfecting your tools . If I use them just on me , what’s the easiest way to handle that ?? ❤
I really loved the music in the background of this one when you weren't speaking -- super relaxing! Oooo, I almost always wear red on my toes but really love that Purity and Cupid's Arrow. I think I have both of those, will give this combo a try!
Thank you what a relaxing and informative video! I'm outside in a park today since the weather is finally summery in London and just did my pedi. For tools I have a travel kit by Twezerman, it's got a little pushy which was good enough (maybe not as sharp as the tool you're using). Didn't paint the nails, I quite like them natural if well cared for. I also like my toenails short. For my hands, I was obsessed with growing them very long, sometimes I still do, however I find short nail fit better my life style and it's easier to maintain them. Also my hands and feet are quite small so I find the short length quite balanced.
Thank you for writing! The tool I have in my kit (the manicure tool) has a very similar sharpness to Tweezerman Pushy. Majority of people do very well with this sharpness. Sharper tool can really scrape the nail
I do mine too on the chair outside. Thanks for this. You shared some more tips I can use on my mani/pedi day. I often give my toenails a break from polish. What’re the ingredients in your salve?
Sweet almond oil, coconut oil, jojoba, grapeseed oil, beeswax, rice bran oil, isopropyl myristate (helps the absorptions and make the end product a bit lighter), bisabolol (camomile extract, soothing), green tea extract, rosemary extract (both antioxidants), dimethicone (skin protectant) Here is why I decided to add silicone: www.paulaschoice.com/ingredient-dictionary/ingredient-dimethicone.html?q=Dimethicone&fdid=ingredients
I don’t polish my toe nails but am very particular about how they’re cut and cleaned up. And always use moisturizer! I’ll have to check out your nail tools!
Thank you for your excellent and educational videos, I have been seeing your videos so much lately! Question, how do you tackle a pinky toenail that is so hooded by the toe that most of the nail is in a "cave" under the toe hump and the only nail visible is the thinnest slice. Hopefully you will get a client like so and you can share your strategies on video. Thank you again!
Well, you have just turned the light on for me. I tear the tops of my toenails up with the cuticle pusher, even though I use the blue cross. My pusher is too sharp.
Lol to actually do my cuticle remover and filing, I lie in bed, propped up and bring my foot up to my face😂 It's the only way I can see things good enough, reasonably comfortably. I do my painting either in a chair like this or put my feet up on the counter.
I was juts thinking the other day, when my back was aching from bending over from edge of the bathtub / short stool to my feet on the ground, how helpful it would be to know what body position you would have to do your own pedicure. Thanks!
