The fact that I was just talking about how I needed to give myself a selfcare day and do this is insane. Perfect timing 💛
I just did that today. With a Glass of Prosecco as my feet soaked
I just noticed we're always watching the same videos, any video i watch it's ur comments 😂
Why are you everywhere😭
@@M4angiefrfr i see this girl everywhere its so creppy its been 2 years w💀
Can I just say thank you... I’ve always been insecure about my feet. I tried to shape my nails but I didn’t realize I left my toenails to long. I thought I had ugly toes. It’s such a simple task but makes a world a difference. I discovered my nails flair out giving that undesirable grown out shape and after following your tutorials I love the look. Self maintenance is so important. Thank you from someone who didn’t grow up with girls😭
youre very welcome sweetie!

Currently sitting at a nail salon waiting for my toe nails to dry.....pissed cause of the bad service. I'm like nope! No more! Just found this video. Thanks! Will be ordering the thing I need!
Same!!!!! This is why I'm gotta learn to do my own.. cause I can't anymore.
I just want to say thank you. Your vids have helped me maintain, repair, and grow my fingernails to the length of long full cover nails. I use natural colored gel, clear hard gel, and silk. Thanks, sis
yw! 💕
The proximal nail fold is not support cut off. It protect you nails. If you go to a nail salon and they do that; you might get fungi
I'm 28 and never had a pedicure due to fear 🙊 . I'm looking to change that today , thank you for the video. Very helpful
yw! 💕
Summer pedicures are the best. As much as I like to take my time to pamper myself, I haven't made the time for me. I decided to outsource this service to a nail salon. I got a jelly pedi past month, so it's about time for another. Can't wait😁😁😁
I really liked the glass foot file you featured in a recent video. I don’t have thick calluses and I found it perfect for that.
glad youre enjoying it! Ive been liking it too for my in between pedi routine
Watching your channel challenges me everyday to be “that girl” I need the motivation 😭😭❤️
i wanna be her too, but im nowhere close rn 🥹
Thanks! Going to learn how to do pedicures so I can do my wifes feet. This helped a lot
very nice of u
I'm with you. My wife asked me to do it for her. She talked me through it as I did it, but I definitely need to improve, because it took me a LONG time to do it.
😂
Bless the both of y’all.. 😌 I hope my future husband will do this.
That's so wonderful
You could lecture the most boring subject on Earth and I’m sure I would absorb all of the information. The way you deliver information is extraordinary! 😍
youre too kind ☺️
Your videos are always so satisfying. I actually bought that travel kit from Ulta a few weeks ago and was surprised by how handy it is. Totally agree about the awesomeness of that cuticle nipper. Looking forward to the next video ❤️
right?! like im so glad i bought it, really is clutch.
This is super informative. I have an event tonight and don’t want to get my feet professionally done. I have faith I can do this😊
yes u can! have fun tonight ♥️
I’ve never had a pedicure, and never really learned how to use the pedicure kits.
I’ve been self conscious about my feet since I was a kid, my birth mother would make negative comments about my feet since I was around 5-6yo, she would say things like my toe nails look like spoons and how I could eat with them. I never understood what she meant but knew it wasn’t good. She made other jokes at my expense and never taught me how to care for my feet or nails. I would hide my feet because I felt embarrassed.
It wasn’t until I was in foster care that I got my size checked and found I was wearing the wrong size (2 sizes too small).
My husband knows I’m self conscious about my feet and when he gives me foot rubs I tend to pull away because I’m afraid or ashamed he’ll say something negative. Now that I have kids and go to the water parks and play with them I want to feel more confident. I want to teach my little girls and make it fun, they love getting their nails painted especially in the summer.
I’m glad I found your video and can’t wait to see the next video!
Im so sorry that happened to you, and Im proud of you for taking back your power and confidence. Every body is beautiful!
I've never, ever had a pedicure (don't judge me yall 😩), but, I would come to wherever she was to be blessed with one if she ever decided to service others 🙌🏾🙏🏾❤
flattered 😊
No judgement here. My feet look like I've never had one right now.... So there's that. I'm getting to it immediately tho
Love it!! Would you possibly be able to make a video about the snacks you like? I sometimes have trouble choosing what to eat between meals because I'm easily overwhelmed by all the options.
it’s me! i’m the one who needs the tweeze cuticle clippers! i was just thinking the other day that i needed something other than the scissor-like ones cause they hurt my hand. kismet!
was hoping theyd come in handy! 👏🏽
My toenails have been looking horrendous (not fungal, just unkempt) and this video is going to help me so much! Thank you! ❤
yw! 💕
Your pedicure videos are always among the very best on YT. Always well shot and detailed, always starring your superstar beautiufl feet! Too bad though, this time, the (best) part relating to the exfoliation /dead skin removal process is limited to a few seconds.
Yay yay a self care vid!!!! Thanks A and happy belated blessed birthday my fellow Gemmi sis 😍🤩. I hit my pedicured big toe Mon and it cracked a little but I removed the polish, filed it down a bit more and oiled, base coated, and reapplied polish👍👍. So soothing and looking forward to the finished Ped🤩
Thank you! and same to you 💕

I went to 2 separate nail salons and both disappointed! I said today no more I’m going to RUclips! And I found myself in your channel. Your step by step was so enlightening, I’m doing my own. Going to a salon in 2023 for $30 plus tio wider not worth it! On top of language barrier and they convincing you to no chip and any other product. I ended up going back as to nail salon to demand they redo nail color as it was chipping off and I had it just done day prior! They were rude and treated me like I was bothering them and said get no chip next time?! I’m done! I’m settling to do my own. Thanks for the video.
srry to hear that. nothin like wasting ur money to motivate you, but u got this!
This is very timely i saw a Tik tok about getting pedicures at the nail salon 🤢so now I’ve been slowly buying the stuff to do my own although i like the pampering
yea, im kinda afraid of most salons at this point. lol
Thank you! I hope to get motivated to do a pedicure on myself! I am looking forward to the next video!
Much love Bella 💕
my pleasure Bella; i hope you get motivated too ♥️
Definitely treating myself for Valentine’s Day !
How did it go? Im curious because I'm thinking of doing a spa dates for my girlfriend and I--or at least a basic pedicure and basic massage somewhere
Yes! I miss the pedicure and beauty self care videos! Please do more!!
Thank you this video is right on tme as I'm looking to do my own pedicures 😊❤
LOL! She said "we're crusty." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Girl, I hear you! Doing my spa day TODAY.
Great! I’m inspired to do my own pedicure. Save money versus going to the nail salon because I hate waiting too lol. I get anxious.
You do such a great job, with the presentation and the information you provide
thank you!
My pleasure
Do you have a link for that set you featured with the little cuticle pusher and nippers? Thanks 🥹
The calluses is made because your shoe's are not comfortable try to wear pads in your shoe's and use more cream to treat the skin, if you remove it with a blade it will appear again and more thicker, use an abrazive file for it after scrub
my shoes are comfortable and padded 👍my calluses are caused by gait and therefore why they will reappear. theres no cream that will change the way i walk.
You did such a great job! Those nippers look gentle. They didn't look sharp. I am about to graduate from nail tech but have not been able to master using nippers. A big part is the fear I have of cutting someone. How did you manage the nippers when you got to the inner corners of the cuticles without cutting?
thanks! for the corners i use mostly the tip of blade since the jaw is on the wider side. It also helps to hold the lateral folds taut to expose more of the side walls. For really deep nail folds and corners, a smaller jaw (1/4”) is more ideal imo
pro tip to prevent injury: soak your feet in hot water mixed with baking soda to soften the skin before shaving the calluses :) It's really hard to do it properly if it's not softened and can lead to deep cuts
please don’t. the skin will be very soft yes, which will therefore make it much easier to slice too deep with even slight pressure not to mention a bit slippery.
curious - how come you don’t use a cuticle remover/dissolver to take care of the dead skin on your nails before pushing them?
Sometimes i prefer a dry mani so i can best see what “needs” to come off. In other videos youll notice sometimes i use cuticle softer er, and sometimes i dont, but ultimately i do both techniques and pick and choose based on what i have time for/want to do that at that moment.

Thank you for this video, how often are we supposed to get a pedicure ?

Hello, I would like to inquire, does your video have a yellow restriction mark for advertising
Did you use any cuticle remover product? I didn't catch. Would really like to start doing my own nails
in this instance i did not, just soaked my feet first.
I have a hard time doing my toenails, I have two knee replacements and it’s uncomfortable to get close to my toes. I do like you said I sit in a chair and rest my foot on another chair to work on my feet. I would love to be as good as you are with your cuticles.
well i hope you get to experience the pleasure of having a professional pamper you, and rest yourself.
@@abetweene thank you
I always take care of my nails and footnails using the same equipments get rid of dead skin and corns on foot
FYI, the back and forth motion during filing might be contributing to the cracking of your nails later on. Better to file in one direction.
its not. ive done trials of filing in one direction, glass vs traditional, steel etc, and it made no difference for me.
hey, first of, thank you for this video. i was wondering how i should deal with a darkened nail/ thickened nail?
youre welcome. Thick nails can be filed and buffed to make them less bulky, so if the top layers of nail are what’s causing the discoloration that will be taken off with it.
For the callous part, I use my mom's cheese grater. It works.
Hello I'm new here but girl how just how do you use the cuticle clipper its so hard I just cannot get it without sticking or nipping myself smh. So hats off to you
looooots of practice. basically I’ve been doing my own nails for years and years. But there are other tools u can substitute for nippers that can give u good results without the risk of cutting yourself. I demo them here ruclips.net/video/mO-48QEM4Ag/видео.html
Ma'am i needed this thank you so much also i wanna ask will it affect my nails if i just do the whole pedicure process but skip out the polish and nail extension and like everything else?
yw! no, its fine if youd prefer to skip polish, etc. just condition your skin & nail with the cuticle oil
Can’t believe I’m watching this while drinking my morning cafe ☕️ lol
lol
This was extremely helpful thank you!!

Im a 25yo male. I've never had a pedicure before but maybe once a week I'll take 15-30 minutes doing whatever to my feet. Most of the time I just do what feels right but wanted to look at real foot care. I want to get a pedicure since I'll be going to Miami and the Bahamas on a cruise soon. I want to look sharp and clean. I want grown women jealous (or at least recognizing) the foot game. Not only for appearance but for health
👍
I wouldn’t advise to cut the sides of the nails so short. Ideally you want them to be longer and growing straight forward to avoid in growing toenails which happens easily when cut too short or shaped. Cuticle should never be cut off! This is there for protection and your body will regenerate more thinking that’s what you need, until it dies. I’m a beauty therapist and just trying to help 🙏💕
thats the point. ingrowns dont grow straight and forward, they grow sideways into the lateral folds and thus need trimming. shaping the free edge doesnt effect it because growth starts in the nail matrix (beyond the cuticle area)
Thank you for showing in great detail ❤
yw!
I have 2 of these nippers and love them!
I loved everything about this video !
Thank you for this! I was sick of paying $60-$100 for a pedicure and getting sloppy work at a salon. I have fallen in love with doing my nails at home and find it a lot of fun and less stressful than going to a salon. Thank you for this tutorial. I am going to follow it to a T because I can become aggressive and over pick at my skin.

I love your videos, I need those cuticle cutters ASAP!
This is probably going to be a long shot, but do you know how to lighten dark knuckles? The knuckles on my toes have been getting darker and darker, and idk why. I keep my feet moisturized, they’re maintained regularly, but they’re getting dark and I don’t know what to do to fix it. I’ve tried all the stuff it says on google, but nothings working. Any suggestions?
Do you wear closed toe shoes a lot? If you naturally have more pigmented skin it’s not uncommon for brown skin to be more pigmented around the knuckles, knees, and elbows. Added stress can also cause hyperpigmentation though, so if theres a lot of friction from the inside of your shoes repeatedly rubbing against your skin, that can be a cause. In that case, changing to wearing more opened toe shoes and/or providing more cushion can help along with exfoliation. I prefer chemical exfoliators like Glycolic and lactic acid.
@@abetweene I do wear closed toed shoes regularly, and I’m around your complexion, maybe a little paler. I’ll try the chemical exfoliant and getting better shoes. Maybe mine are just half a size too small then?
Thank you.
yw! 💕 hard to say with size because there isnt continuity throughout the industry. You can be one size in one brand, and a different size in another, so it can vary. A tip I recommend is only shopping for shoes towards the end the day that way your feet have already swelled from walking/standing so when you try shoes on, the size you get will accomodate for the extra room you need.
@@abetweene thank you so much for that tip, I never even thought about them swelling throughout the day. My shoes always fit comfortably during the day, but by the end of it my feet ache, I figured it was just because I have high arches and don’t wear supporting shoes for it.
Where can I get those tools for my pedicure? Happy 😊

This is excellent. Very well done, thank you!

Once I heard you're never supposed to go left and right when filing. 😬 Cause it can cause splitting and cracking.
Instead to go one direction and lift up, and go again in the same direction .
ive heard that too and experimented with exclusively using that technique for almost a year. ultimatey it didnt make a difference.
Oh bummer! I thought I had magical info to help your splitting. Oh well. Thank you for encouragement to do my mani, tonight. 🤩
Hey do you know Dr. Dray? She is a dermatologist and also holds a PhD
She makes science based derm video
She did a video on calluses semi recently and I thought of you
She explained how filing away calluses is actually counter productive (meaning calluses grow back and sometimes ecen worse) and should be avoided, and to use some moisturising cream with mild exfoliating ingredients such as urea to actually help prevent the issue in the first place
If highly recommend you check her out
She also breaks down ingredients and what they are useful for
And dispels some myths too
i am familiar with her yes but not a fan. Ive also tried keratolytics like urea, but while such products are ok for mild cases, they dont significantly address my particular concerns. My calluses are caused by gait, not lack of maintenance/build up, so this routine is what suits me and others like me.
Idk why but i can't cut my nails in a uniform manner, i always grt the urge to cut the white part ( the growing part) and then they get so irregular . Help 😭
6:06 what's on that water?? Does it have a special product?
Really liked the vid, my foot nails also tend to break
i used a piece of a bubble bar from LUSH. i think it was called matcha something.
@@abetweene thank you ☺️
yw
Pregunta…do you still recommend using short and quick moves with the tweezer-nippers? (I made that term up lol)
short, yes, quick, not so much. You can speed up if youre an experienced user, but slow and controlled is always a good idea!
😊 i love your are pedicure manicure videos ❤🗽🇺🇸👍
Am here to learn because am I want to start a pedicure business
Is that just dried out callus you're cutting at 2:50 ? And how do you know how far to cut ?
yes. the best i can explain it is i can see a shadow, like how u can see how thick a drinking glass is.
Is getting a pedicure really necessary? Heath of the nails wise ? I almost never get them, but my nails and feet look like yours post the pedicure 🤔
Its up to your discretion what you deem necessary, especially for your body. For me, pedicures are a part of my personal hygiene.
Is that just regular lukewarm water or do u put something in it? :3
i also add epsom salt and usually some sort of soap like castile or bodywash. here it was a matcha bubble bar that caused the green tint.
I wish they did this at the salon! Like way to get good foot care
some places do depending on your area
@@abetweene do u know where?
you can type “nail salons near me” into google to see who’s in your area, then visit their website or call & ask if they offer full service pedicures

Why do you remove on the skin on either side of your nails ? Is it for esthetic reasons or does it serve a function ? I dread the day when I get so old, I can't see my toe nails or I can't bend down to cut them HAHAHA.I can already see it happening.
i remove all build up on my feet including surrounding the toes as the callused skin can feel hard and rough.
@@abetweene Does removing the skin make it grow back even more callused ? I'm always afraid to cut off excess skin. LOL
Calluses are caused by pressure as a way to “cushion” the area thats being affected, so wether it be gait or shoes that rub against the toes/foot, sizing, etc, if those things persist then the calluses will of course return.
Where did you get the cuticle pusher? I don’t see it in the links
the cuticle pusher came in the “travel nail kit” along with clippers, cuticle cutters, and file. its linked under that name
How are you able to get the perfect angle and the close-up shots, please?
flexible ankles & toes
I want to try this, but... I heard cutting/pushing cuticles is bad for you, is it...?
cutting,as in piercing living tissue, is bad. that would draw blood and create a wound that can invite bacteria in.
That foot scraper scares me to use!
use a foot file instead
@@abetweene doing it as I type 🤣 I used the the block foot file l ! Thanks
Can we can an ankle flexibility video 😂😂 lol jk. You literally have the perfect positioning to really get everything!
😂
So dang satisfying
ya'll i'm too much of a chicken to even use that callus shaver like just the sight of the razor terrified me
lol, no worries. u can skip it
Can you do a video on attaining ankle flexibility? Lbvs.
well its always kinda been like that so it wasn’t intentional on my part, lol. Im sure there are some stretches that can help develop it though.
Thanks for this I wanted to do my feet for hoco instead of going to a salon this really helps
