27:51 One of the best shots in the entire series. Ygritte representing fire while her side of the screen glows red/orange. Jon representing ice while his side of the screen glows blue. A Song Of Ice And Fire personified in a single shot. The only thing Jon cares about in that moment is Ygrette, even with a battle still going on behind him, because like Maester Aemon loves to point out, "Love is the death of duty."
When he knelt in the snow beside her, her eyes opened. "Jon Snow," she said, very softly. It sounded as though the arrow had found a lung. "Is this a proper castle now? Not just a tower?" "It is." Jon took her hand. "Good," she whispered. "I wanted t' see one proper castle, before... before I..." "You'll see a hundred castles," he promised her. "The battle's done. Maester Aemon will see to you." He touched her hair. "You're kissed by fire, remember? Lucky. It will take more than an arrow to kill you. Aemon will draw it out and patch you up, and we'll get you some milk of the poppy for the pain." She just smiled at that. "D'you remember that cave? We should have stayed in that cave. I told you so." "We'll go back to the cave," he said. "You're not going to die, Ygritte. You're not." "Oh." Ygritte cupped his cheek with her hand. "You know nothing, Jon Snow," she sighed, dying. Jon VII, A Storm of Swords
26:16 I said in an earlier video that Karl Tanner (the guy Jon killed that used the two daggers) would one day teach Jon a valuable lesson. That was the lesson, Jon doesn't fight with honor when the other doesn't. God bless Karl fookin Tanner.
I love Sam's character growth throughout the series. When you think about how he was when he first arrived at the wall vs who he becomes... Wow! And to think he started out convinced he was a coward. That's no coward!
Just rewatched this and your reaction John flipping out of the elevator has me in stitches!!! lmaooo and your reaction to his swordplay (pause) lol so hilarious
Love your comment at 31:00. It's usually something people completely shove aside when they watch shows/movies or play games (and I get why), yet it can do some much for the narrative. The Last of Us series is indeed the only place I can remember where they push that aspect to the forefront.
the last of us II, and game of thrones are both peak media BECAUSE they get you thinking. they change your outlook and broaden your mindset. so great you acknowledge that and link the two in a way.
Ygritte was also the one who Olly literally watched shoot his father in the back of his head with an arrow so… makes sense that she’d be memorable to him.. im just saying 🤷🏻♀️
Feels so nice to hear somebody call TLOU2 one of their favourite games of all times because SAME. So many people stay pissy about it, especially the ending, and also about having to play as a "the other side", but that's part of what makes it so great! You are forced to see the ennemy's pov and to question your thoughts.

Pro tip from a fly catcher Wait til it stays on a flat surface Then move your hand very slowly towards the fly (with their 1000 eyes they see everything like in slowmo, so they don't really register your movement) When you are about 2-3 inches away from it, you have to move your hands very quickly to catch, or smash it Helped me in the last years, hope it fits you too :)
Whether this is true or not I don't know. But I was told years ago that if you try to hit them from behind, on a flat surface of course, you will always catch them because they takeoff that direction. I've never missed since lol
Fly advice I've learned: if you open a window, they will usually land on the screen. Then you can slam the window shut. LOL (unless you have crank windows, because too slow)
LOL I don't know what it is about flies, but I hate them with the fury of 1000 wronged women - but only when they're in my house. Outside, they're just, "Meh, just go away..." with all the exasperated energy of a royal hand wave.
