- Hello folks, I head up to the woods with the Bestargot Titanium Coffee Press and a compact stainless steel cook kit from TBS. I knock up a pea and ham soup from scratch over the Trangia spirit burner. I have to say, it was a decent meal. Stay tuned for more billycan cooking!

Mouthwatering video and just demonstrates with a little forward planning such culinary delights can be achieved in an outdoor setting far from the madding crowd.
Always love a head nodding taste test 👍👌
Always look forward to your videos!
Cracking looking ham n pea soup there! Food always tastes much better outdoors I think.
Just going through your back catalogue and saw your 2 parter in Catalunya - thanks for spelling it correctly.
I have lived in the south of Catalunya for 25 years and the back roads are amazing for adventuring. I have a 250cc quad setup and go hammock camping for weeks on end all year round.
It's a lovely way of spending your retirement.
Stay safe and keep up the good work.
Take a look at the jetboil coffee press, cheap, light weight, fits various pots so use with what you already have.
Ahhhh, the canoe cook...great video that was mate 😂😂 too bad health and safety spoils it lol. Love your vids mate and I always look forward to the next installment...keep em coming dude!! 🤘
Thought I was watching OUTDOOR SKILLS MADE EASY by the intro music 👌 then realized it was OUTDOOR SOUP MADE EASY ben 😉🙌 try the 3 nail trick in the meths burner for a pot stand ben 👍
Great video looking forward to the new Billy can series sometimes big pot cooking just too much keep them coming.👍
Cheers mate 👍
Looks great. Another good video. Did wonder about the simmer ring 👍
Great review, took your advice and bought a coffee maker
quality video as usual
You can save a lot of weight on those titanium cafetières by unscrewing the massively heavy knob on the top and replacing with a wooden one.
Aye that is the heaviest part of the pot! 👍
Very enjoyable watch, I like your presentation style. For info the newer type 2 Evernew cross stand fits a Trangia burner and sits over the burner lifting the pot higher than the one you have, so you get closer to that 1" sweet spot. I've tried that TBS stand but don't use it anymore as it's a massive heat sink and eats fuel like nobodies buisness, unbelievable how much. It's a great stand though if fuel efficiency isn't a concern, really well made. Those Kupilka cups are great too.
I love pea and ham soup, long live the 1980s 😁
Cheers Tim, yeah I haven’t used the TBS stand much after this for the same reason. I just use a folding cross stand most of the time too. Pea and ham soup will be back in fashion soon I reckon 😂👍
Another good video, atb👍🏕👌
Cheers Colin, ate mate 👍
Great video !!! Will try to make same soup very soon … thank you and ATB !!!
Cheers mate 👍
Another great video thanks, definitely going to give your recipe a go 👍
Cheers Dave 👍

Wicked mate 👍🏼
Cheers mate 👍

Hi, they're called marrowfat peas; they're a British thing, although we export them to Japan so you might be able to find them in the USA 👍
