The instruction does not mention the LED on the xstream remote should be glowing before proceeding with pairing. This is the most important step.

Dont waste your money buying this box. Here is what i have noticed. I regret spending money for this.
1. Too slow and poor remote response time. Looks like processor is outdated with poor configurations. Dont know what it is exactly. Airtel also reluctant to disclose it.
2. Airtel normal HD STB is giving much more video clarity than this box. I used both i can clearly feel the difference
3. OTT apps clarity also not that great as Airtel claims like its 4K box.
4. Music apps not playing in Background. Any android OS plays music apps in background with some screen saver if you press home button. This STB not doing it.
5. RUclips casting connection will be lost after every videos. For every video i need to press the cast button again and again. It is disgusting. I I do have Google chromecast and an Android Pie TV on which casting works properly.
6. A bunch of CEC port inconsistencies also. When i turn on the Xtreme box from standby it is rebooting my TV. sleep/standby is not working properly. I dont have such problems with chromecast or firstick which is connected to TV.
7. Google Assistant response also too slow.
8. I am against any sort of vendor locking or forcing customers to do something. I am unable to uninstall ZEE 5 app comes up with this box. Already a lot of space in the box is eaten app for quite a lot of thing . Not allowing me to uninstall ZEE 5 app made me really annoyed.
Overall I am not at all happy with user experience of this xtreme box. This device has to go through a lot of performance improvement and functional bug fixes. I suggest to go for normal Airtel HD DTH box (Trust me video clarity is much better in that than this pricey device), and for OTT streaming apps, go for some other manufacturers devices. Airtel Xtreme is not good.

Not working in my case
You can also learn Up, Down, left, right and OK keys for TV following same process as in video but pressing these keys. When you press AV key you can select TV input (HDMI1, HDMI2, etc)

Dear airtel, your XStream box has issues, first one is with the youtube app. It stops playing videos when we click no play. many times remote doesn't work. sometimes buttons on the remote don't work.. kindly fix your issues.

This only works with infrared remotes. Your TV remote should be infrared. My VU tv also has the same. Issue. Most smart TV remotes these days are Bluetooth remotes.
The red light on the Xstream remote just keeps flashing everytime I try to change channels or volume. Though the channel or volume doesn't not change.

Totally useless dth. Used only 20 days and switched back to Tata sky. The box is not compatible with amazon basic Hdmi cables. And customer care is useless no one technically knows how to reply customers. Engineer visited are like 10th pass only.
check dishtv box... thats how pairing should work.. in xstream box ...when you pair the buttons then those button does not work normally. totally waste remote.

I paired with my TV remote. Paired functions working properly from Xstream remote except TV volume control. When press the volume up & down in Xstream remote it only works for STB volume function, not TV volume function. Any help?

Hello Airtel. I am using airtel from many many years. Had spent many rupees in every offer. 1 day i realise if you guys giving us 56 gb plan monthly then after 2 gb used in a day then its a limit and when 1 gb is only used then 1 gb is looted by company. So please give 56 gb data without any restrictions it would help consumers not to feel cheated
