    I wish you would have shown how much configurable the router settings are. I want to be able to change the DNS, IP Mode settings and so on. I hate how much the ISPs lock down the router settings and nobody even bothers bringing up that point in most reviews.

    • @iuhere
      @iuhere 6 месяцев назад

      some routers even have normal setings as well as hidden settings which when the technician arrives logs in and changes . so yeh basically the router is in airtels control and they can do anything to the router as and when they would want to. Custom firmwares are dangerous but then that is not what people se as immediate problem. This is not only true in airtel case but some other ISP as well.

    I have used Airtel Xstream Fiber and can confidently say that it was the best experience with any internet provider I've ever had. Just great. Got close to double my speed all the time, and always easy and simple to pay bills. Plus, no latency at all and very few outages. Only issue is it's not available everywhere so my friends and relatives don't have the Airtel Fiber service in their areas. If that was improved, I'd ask them to shift from ACT or Jio to Airtel Xstream

    Most of the people in comments are telling they are getting higher speeds than promised, I also use airtel xstreme, that happens because when you do ookla speed test by default its set to multi connection, but if you set it to single connection type and test then it will show accurately. That happens to any other internet, but people think they are getting higher speeds than promised

    • @stealthSniperGhost980
      @stealthSniperGhost980 6 месяцев назад +3

      No, you actually get higher than promised speed on Airtel. 😂
      I earlier had a Jio fiber 100 Mbps plan and I would get around 95-100 Mbps. Now with Airtel extreme I get 110-130 Mbps for the same 100 Mbps plan.
      You can even see the speed in Windows Task Manager -> Wi-Fi or simply see increased download speed in chrome or while downloading games on Stream.

    • @avanishb
      @avanishb 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@stealthSniperGhost980 it’s not about 15-30 mbps, it almost shows double the speed which is promised, I have opted for 100 mbps, it shows 200-220 mbps when tested on multi connection type which is absolutely incorrect as speed test sends data to multiple connections to test the speed, but If I check at single type then it gives accurate results like 100-110 mbps which is correct and like you said they do offer slightly higher speed than promised but not as people are saying like almost double

    2:49 See, the problem is this ping does not represent real gaming experience or scenario as this just obtains the ping from the closest server available.
    At 3:00 What am I supposed to understand by pretty good? You may even consider 60-70 ping pretty good (which is not for CSGO atleast).
    Also, gaming experience depends not just upon Ping but also other factors like Packet Loss, Jitters, etc. Which determine the quality of the connection

    If you are collaborating with Airtel plz tell them to add daily data usages in the application there's no such option where we can monitor our daily/monthly data usage.
    Also in the city like Pune it's out of service due to maintenance 4,to 5 times in a month.
    Pls tell them to improve

    Hello sir im having a Airtel Xtreme plan of 200mbs and i want to buy lan cable for my desktop computer gaming should i buy cat 7 or cat 6 ethernet cable im bit confusing please help

    • @srirajdellxps121
      @srirajdellxps121 5 дней назад

      Cat 7 because it's just slightly expensive than cat 6 and provides more speed per metre distance. Remember you buy an Ethernet lan cable only once and it goes on for decades. So buying a better cable isn't bad.

    4:03 just add a second router with the output lan of the airtel router as input

    Mine was the worst. The connection used to get cut constantly. And once the connection is down it usually took more than weeks for the person to come and solve the issue. There have be instances where the connection was down after merely 2-3 days after fixing it. There was a time when my connection was down for a whole 2 months. Plus if you dislike the service and want to cancel the connection if don't even get a refund. I had to recharge my local wifi provider because of bad service from Airtel. Was a horrible experience. Will never go with airtel again.

    We had many connections but Airtel wants a separate staff to be there for corporate to manage things. Also they billed post disconnection and ate my advance. So many lawyers banned airtel

    if you want to suspend your connection then it is almost impossible to terminate the connection and the bill will be adding to your id and you have to pay it if you dont want 10 calls in one day
    very bad experience untill you dont want to terminate the connection'

    ACT is far better than Airtel and Jio in Bangalore. I'm using a 300 mbps plan with a free TP link archer router and it is seamless. 5 ghz for office use and 2.4 ghz for personal use

  • @rohit6747
    @rohit6747 6 месяцев назад +1

    Do not get the repeater!!!! It changes the router to auto switch bands. And you will almost never be connected to 5ghz band and will never even cross 90mbps on a 300 Mbps poan

    Airtel is kind of expensivei but its worth it its just needs backend repair every 2 months as the latency increases so a repair fixes.

    I use the basic plan of jio fiber, I pay around 420 all inclusive, 30 Mbps. Great connection i use around 4 devices only but still I believe it's a great deal. I was a previous user of Airtel fiber no regrets but there downtime in Airtel often. Jio it has been around 1.5 years never had a single downtime maybe it's only my case but I would recommend to try options.

    jio 5g on mobile with hotspot gives much better speeds at a much cheaper price, rs 2545 /yr (or about 212/mo) for stupid fast speeds , 600+ mbps download and 60 upload (nothing phone 2 in city area) with good ping, be it 5 ms slower than jiofiber. suitable for gaming, and better than jiofiber when it comes to downtime/ router issues.

    Always had Airtel broadband connection at home.
    Pehle copper ki line thi, fir after lockdown lifted in 2020,they finished laying the optical fibre.
    Have the extreme 100 mbps wala plan.
    Very happy with Airtel service, the local broadband service guy readily gives his mobile number & responds quickly.
    As regards their mobile network, it's a sad story
    Their nearest tower is 500 meters away hence there are call drops voice fading etc etc.
    And they refuse to do anything about it..... just stopped trying & switched to a Jio sim.
    So, it's a mixed bag for me.

    I have just upgraded to Airtel XStream Fiber and its been more than a week and frankly it is buggy at times. The Internet just disconnects on my Laptop or Mobile and also I have got 100 Mbps plan but still I don't get speed more than 10MBps, and also if more than 2 devices are connected , the speed to the device which I'm using hardly gets any speed and if I'm streaming something it just buffers. When I called up the technician about this, he said it will auto-update and will work properly. Sometimes I feel because the connection is new, it is that way, but then again I feel maybe it's not like that. I will definitely update after a week about the connection

      Check Rx optics signal level in router configuration page. It needs to be between -18 to -26 dbm or else you won't get ideal speeds. If that is fine change the router.

    Yeah using Airtel Fiber for the last 12 months. It's all right unless you play online games. The ping is highly unstable and it jitters a lot.
    I've contacted them many times but all they say is there's no problem, but it keeps getting worse.
    Soon I hope the 12 months plan end and I switch to any other network.

    i have a 200mbps plan, in delhi. they have packet loss issues! can't fix it, got a router change and what not but it's just airtel. constant stutters in game due to packet loss
    blocked game stream services for no reason like parsec and moonlight, none of them work (including steam remote play).
    also prime is only for one year, they charge you for it after one year or you can discontinue prime.
    becomes very unresponsive. i hate it but it is an 'okayish' option because of the download speeds and less downtimes than any other connection i had
