Thanks Ranjit for the detailed video on Airtel ISP..
Had switched to airtel Xtreme recently 300 mbps. I had used Hathway and ACT earlier and their customer service was pathetic. Even i had faced frequent drops while attending teams calls. Now i do not face these issues . Moreover with airtel black plan i m able to reduce the bill amount atleast by around 100 to 200 rupees when i bundle dth, fibre and mobile connections.
Moreover you get to have a landline connection also. The instrument can be connected to the supplied router. This helps elders at home as it is more convenient for them and avoids mobile radiation.
Overall its a good and better experience than other ISP so far.

Hi Ranjit, Belated New Year wishes! May the new year bring health and prosperity to you and your family. I am a great fan of yours :) I have been using the Airtel Xstream for last two years. The main challenge I am facing is using my custom mesh routers (Deco X 20) with Airtel Xtream 1 GBPS router. JIO and Airtel does not support adding custom mesh routers to extend the range. It will be nice if you can make a video on internet service providers who support use of custom mesh routers with their Modem/Router.

Hey Ranjit! I can definitely second this opinion from a Mumbai perspective also. Iv been using it for 1.5 years as Airtel Black for DTH+Fiber+Mobile and its been excellent value for money. I am subscribed to the base plan and yet it works seamlessly for multiple TVs, laptops and mobile phones. Also their provided Xstream Set-top box is amazing with great software for a very small one time cost, it was an instant upgrade from LED TV to Smart TV for both TVs, saving big investments in new Smart TVs.

In the last 5 years and 4 ISP's. I have felt Airtel to be the most stable and with the best stock router that didn't need restart every couple days (the huawei one they gave around 2018).
I only switched because I liked Jio's OTT plan(899) at only 100 extra from Airtel's(799) and will definitely switch back if airtel introduces something similar.
Although the pricing is higher than most. But the pro rata basis is very nice. You can increase or decrease the speed as required on the app and pay on per day basis. And it switches within minutes.

I'm using Airtel Xstream fiber connection with 100 MBPS plan for around 3 years. I'm also very satisfied with the consistency of the speed and range of the router. Especially when it comes to speed. I get around 130mbps download and 120mbps upload.
Best part is service, Airtel uses real time monitoring system. Thus most of the time you Don't have to register complaint regarding any Outage. It automatically identify the outage and trust me their engineers already starts working before you complain. I can say because the distribution box is just in front of my house. Every time when there is outage, within 30 mins I see engineers working in front of me.
If you want new router just apply for disconnection and then new connection. They will change your router with same wiring or you change wiring too. It is better than Jio fiber for sure.

Using Airtel Xstream for about 2 years now, can vouch for the the sms notifications, they are very helpful and the service is one of the best or the best maybe, their guys are like at my home within a few hours of making a complaint. I have not tried any other provider, never found a good enough reason to.

I'm also using Airtel Xstream finer for like 2+ years so this one is from a common consumer and also a gamer, the plan I have opted is 40 Mbps I live in small town so this plan also works very well for me and I have smart TV so I do watch 4k movies on it varies platforms like Netflix,Zee5,Amazon,Hotstar and I never felt buffer on it also I there's 4 devices in use most of the times so depending on this much devices 40 Mbps works smoothly for me, Also as of being gamer I do competitive gaming online fps games which requires low latency and low ping and Airtel delivers that pretty well too also I do live streaming also while playing and I never felt like that my ping drops or my stream buffer
That's from my side of end user experience.

I had been using Airtel Xstream Fiber in Guwahati for 2 years and honestly, I had a fair amount of issues. It's not the most reliable (at least here), there were several connection drops after midnight. Quite a lot of downtime for maintainance work. Airtel also had major latency issues in games. Switched to Jio, it has been over a year now, no major problems so far.

I have used Airtel, Jio and Act fiber in Hyderabad. Act is by far the best. The latency is so low everything openes almost instantly. Sometimes Airtel/Jio takes few ms to load. Although the issue is on low side. Not a major concern. But if I have option of all 3 I would choose Act.
As ranjeet explained he has postpaid Airtel for family then it might be convenient to have Airtel black over Act.

Amazed that you had good exp with ACT. In the prime area of Gachibowli, I literally suffered with ACT. Had to restart router almost daily to get it working, never picked up full speed. Not to mention fortnight down time, without any notice. Main hub would go down with power.
Just wish that you continue to get good service, because when you don't you will have a hard time with disconnection. I had to raise a complaint on consumer forum to get my money back.

They said first give us the router we will surely refund lmao l🤣 now I am not picking their calls. How widespread is FTTP in India? I'm curious because here in the UK, it's still being rolled out. There are parts of London still stuck with VDSL.

    • @somakun1806

Very widespread...almost every city and village has it.

    • @rishi_raj_01
      @rishi_raj_01 4 месяца назад

In India, you will easily get 1gbps fiber symmetric speed (Airtel, jio, Tata Play, Act, and some other local providers) in every tier 1, 2, and 3 cities, and max 300 Mbps symmetric speed in rural India (BSNL). (FUP-3.3TB)
Literally, none of the providers uses any type of copper line (ADSL, VDSL, or FTTC).
There is no strict law about fiber laying even in big cities so, it is much more cost-effective to lay the fiber cable above the ground for FTTH connection. Although widespread of FTTH is much better than many developed countries.
Some of the providers in London like CFL, YOU Fibre use XGS-PON network to deliver multi-gig speed, hopefully, you will get a FTTH soon.
