this was one of the best pedal demos i've ever seen! not only were there informations at the side of the video but also your playing was really relaxing. keep up that good stuff! :)
Thank you so much for how you demoed this. You made it clear & easy to understand all of the different settings & controls and gave consistent examples to really show how the controls effected each different delay setting. Most demos just kind of run all over the place. I have barely used my flashback in the 4 or 5 years I've had it because it was so intimidating to me. I can't wait to dive back in now that I've seen your vid!
Really cool playing man and very informative video! Just wondering with the reverse the delay if you turn the feedback down all the way does it work as just a reverse reverb sound for shoegaze type stuff?
Great demo, Ryan! The audio tap tempo feature is quite interesting for me and my synths (I guess it will allow me to have more precise tempo sync with sequencers and Arps compared to regular taping). The pedal sounds lovely... like a delay with a little bit of reverb incorporated in at least some settings, wouldn't you say? Cheers!
+Philip+ its great what tc electronic are doing.. offering the most out of controlling a pedal! three ways to set the tempo of the delay and then you also have the toneprint functions and pedal customisations that i didnt even go into it this video! they are well worth the money :) also i agree! the delay repeats seem to blend really nicely on some settings and create a lush delay/reverb sound! im tempted to buy one of these myself! this is my friends :) I also have a demo of the Flashback x4 up next week!
I keep coming back to this review just to listen to you play! If I may ask, what chords/ scales are you predominantly playing here? Sounds borderline math rocky at some points.
How is the knob excursion? Are there any hollow or too sensitive spots? My mini Hof doesn't do anything until 11 o'clock... Then it became too sensitive from 3 to 4 o'clock
Very nice demo but too much people use this pedal in the context of ambient guitar. I'll be glad to hear how it sounds like in a heavy metal lead guitar situation or coupled with distortion if you want
I hear ya. You almost have to stick with the 2290 or analog to get a crisp sound. Dynamic is supposed to help, too. The tape distorts and sounds like junk. Just my opinion, but I’m all over the place. I may like that sound tomorrow. 😂💪🏻
Can you get totally seperate delay signals with different time using both inputs and outputs? Like having two seperate delay pedals for two different sources?
But not two separate modes. Like you can't have analog and tape separate each to its own output. Look into the Boss DD500 or Source Audio Nemesis. They are capable of separate dual delays.
I would recommend either tbh! but this definitely has a greater selection of cool sounds! the boss DD7 has greater control over the digital delay times though.. thanks glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Ryan. I ended up getting the flashback. Compared the hell out of those 2 and figured the flashback just sounded better and can do more. I do wish it had a tap tempo instead of strum but can't have it all :(
The pedal does not work with a 9 volt battery. Why did TC even put a 9v battery compartment in it if it doesn't work. Great sounding delay though but the battery thing sucks.
Thank you! hope you enjoy it :) Judging by ear I think.. its C to a D to a Em but bar chords.. what i tend to do is skip out the G string notes and just let the string ring out with each chord.. let me know if you want those chords tabbed
It's good. But the modes are a bit "same-y" Still great value for money. The 2290 with Mod is lovely. I prefer a solid Boss DD-5 ,7, or the new DD-8 for gigging. The older TC Nova Repeater sounds better than this imo. Great modulation on that pedal.

Thanks a lot :D
Man your playing is healing my soul... I wish I could play like that
By far one of the best review formats I have ever watched. Simple and very effective.
Thank you John :)
i just bought the pedal and sought guidance from the youtoobs.
thank you for being there
That was so nice. I came to see a demo of the loop feature but I wasn't disappointed 😂

I love this video! thank you so much!
no problem! glad you like it :)
Super cool and informative man. Thank you!
Now that I can sorta afford TC products, I may have to get one of these.
They're good pedals for sure :) would you get this or the Flashback 2?

thanks for sharing, very useful video.
no problem :) thanks for the comment!
Very usefull to me, thanks!
thanks a lot!

Can you get totally seperate delay signals with different time using both inputs and outputs? Like having two seperate delay pedals for two different sources?
Maybe close to something like this in Artist Toneprint
But not two separate modes. Like you can't have analog and tape separate each to its own output.
Look into the Boss DD500 or Source Audio Nemesis. They are capable of separate dual delays.
Thinking in the basic, just to color the sound... is there so many difference between this and time space caline???
your tele sounds very sweet. what amp are u playing thru? sounds similar to my PRS thru a H&K
Thanks! It's my friends Tele.. plays really great! I've gotta get mine fixed :( This was all DI :)
Ryan, would you recommend this over the boss dd7? I'm looking for clean tones, nothing too fancy. Great video btw
I do wish it had a tap tempo instead of strum but can't have it all :(
@@fijian0811 It does have tap tempo. You'll need to hold down the button and strum ya guitar to the tempo, it's that simple.
Excelente vídeo. Gracias
Why this pedal doesn't have pitch shifting when dial the delay time?
really good demo, hey what chords you used on this video?
I'll listen back later and write some :)
What amp did you use in this setup?
Thanks, can i plug in expression pedal?
Can this do the oscillation effect?
The pedal does not work with a 9 volt battery. Why did TC even put a 9v battery compartment in it if it doesn't work. Great sounding delay though but the battery thing sucks.
@ 1:34 Thank you
Very good demo, went straight ahead and ordered one. What are the chords you are using 1:30 - 1:40 ?
Thank you! hope you enjoy it :) Judging by ear I think.. its C to a D to a Em but bar chords.. what i tend to do is skip out the G string notes and just let the string ring out with each chord.. let me know if you want those chords tabbed
Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah would be great!
no worries!

So this isn’t actually a ‘looper’?
I'm tempted to buy this one, but I already got the Echo Machine. Decisions, decisions....
nux time core or this?
Elbow 4Lyfe better get tc flashback trust me.
Can you use an expression pedal with this???
not this version.. I believe you can use an expression pedal with the flashback x4 though
Ret kya hai
They forgot to put LOOPER in urs😘
Excellent demo! Thanks
