I'm the same way, with the loops !
I try to use many methods, but I'm right with you, Michael , on the loop thing 😎
I like how you see AI as a tool to improve and utilize, rather than an "enemy" !
Respect ! Thanks for all you're insightful videos, you've taught me much, and inspired me as well, SALUTE 🙏🏻👍🏻✌🏻
PEACE
kickstarter campaign type beat
Lol guess who's going to grind this type beats in the future 😆
Hmmm arranging tool, I agree not bad at all
Grind on, Playa! ✌️😜
You are not alone.
lol. this isnt even AI. its just a bunch of shitty loops that you can arrange.
Ai is just a tool having talent is always the best .
i love using ai to make loops that i can beat slice or use in granular samplers
ai is great for samples
just clicking and making "MUSAK" is going to get old quick
can you remember "band in a box"
I don't know, this whole AI thing seems to me like a bubble - I already can tell if the text was written by AI, the music examples you provided sound a bit lifeless, especially the first one - generic corporate presentation music. I use AI a lot at work to automate boring tasks and to help me improve my coding, and so on. But music is different. I'm not a full-time musician; frankly speaking, the money I've made from music barely covers my Splice subscription. However, music is my passion, and I want to focus on those tiny details and nuances rather than delegate them to AI. There are many ways to improve workflow and make music production sessions more efficient without using AI.
Ai is the biggest scam since... VR I guess.
There is nothing intelligent about it. It's just the latest buzz to keep suckers buying crap they don't need and paying subscriptions.
Computers have been stagnant for more than 2 decades. And the industry keeps trying to find new ways to separate you from your money. There is nothing meaningful that ppl use computers for now, that they couldn't back in the day.
Only graphics (which aren't even close to the most important aspect) for gaming have been pushing new tech. But people don't care that much anymore. So in comes so-called "AI"!
Not alone in that problem
Here’s the cheapest and easiest way to make music: don’t do it. Unsubbed.
I've been using Suno AI to take my lyrics, while I prompt it to generate a specific genre and take that musical result and run it through Chord AI to transcribe the music, from there I print it out and perform it live. The end result is 100% my own music, with the assistance of AI.
Absolutely! I experienced something similar by using my own lyrics and selecting a genre, I even managed to get a hit song demo idea which I can re-record and make it my own.
It sounds to me like « The part of music making that bugs me is the music making part. Luckily there is an ai tool for that! »
Why push this paid one? Udio is free
I notice certain sections are labeled "mid", but it all seems to be mid
Just need AI to sort out the dodgy rap now.😁
Sitting on countless unfinished loops, sure. Biggest reason: Making the loop for me is the fun creative stage where I make a vibe, while meticulously arranging out, crafting and mixing a whole track takes much longer and is not AS fun. And that's ok. Process > finished "product". Frankly I don't need to bring this whole business economics attitude of "output" and "efficiency" to my creative hobby, tyvm.
ngl, this whole thing seems to philosophically fly in the face of much of Michael's earlier content. At the very least it's kinda lame. Hope they paid well.
the entirety of ai landscape is pretty gas pilled in its own sense though
Why u make music in the first place when u dont have fun on the process ? I guess its just for getting klicks -> attention
Some for practice and some for money.
reduces to increase... basic chinese philosophy...sounds weird but it is what it is
When you talk like a robot,,,
Brother with all respect but I expect Ou to be pro AI it's no wonder you live in a country where the possibility for tramshumanism and population control through AI has overshadowed the population long time ago... don't you fear ai taking over humanity bit by bit? aren't you afraid of nature becoming more and more strange and "unnecessary" for future generations? isn't it so that techs as AI have created a resistance to social interactions as the world has never ever seen it before?
"AI" Is just the latest way for people/companies to push the toxic subscription apocalypse down our throats.
Yes! I want to have this but locally on my hard drive, without relying on blood suckers.
In addition, it is a much better idea to do it in the following way: You make a loop with the samples and instruments to your liking, and let the machine analyze the loop and give you different song structures, which is where the most tedious part is. After that, it allows you to master with the tracks separately to give the final touch to the mix, all with your own flavor.
Or we just keep making loops, because it's all about having fun, not about packaging our creation in a 'sellable' format :)
Actually AI is pretty helpful, I use AI to learn and I have clients who utilize AI to create demo nailing rough ideas for his clients then bring it to me to do the dirty job.
#REALTALK, SON!
@@paQ75 this is a good idea.
been going through a 'dry spell'. so the fact that AI exists, it is starting to give me ideas and inspiration without having to rely on 'pop music' (I'm being generalistic) or random music found elsewhere on the intarwebz.
so, for me, it's an inspiration waker-upper. it's only evil if bad people use it the wrong way. I'd rather work with it than against it. for some people, it's a way of getting into music production without the need to buy a ton of expensive gear (and lawd knows - some of us do have a ton of expensive gear!!!) or the room to house said 'gear' (those of us with the gear know that thing about 'space' and 'room'!!) I know a ton of people who have embraced suno for generating parody songs - gotta start somewhere! the thing is, those people are not just pushing and trying the boundaries of AI, but are helping to push it forward to everyone - and the more people use AI, the more it and the people who created it, learn. eventually, we get a better product and that helps everyone.
