Just a dad learning 😅 My daughter has that mixed-girl super curly hair. We live in Colorado so it’s unbelievably dry here. It’s been feeling like I put all this work into her hair to moisturize it just for it to be frizzy within 8-12 hours 🤦🏼♂️ Going to give this a try thanks 🙏
This why I say our hair is just not hair. We use to have big ceremonies doing our hair . Now the ceremonies our at most salons that don't protect your own hair nor offer advise. Women if we just take time out of doing things like tv or other things that aren't constructive we could manage our hair. The crown is radiant Shell
"Lazy" is right! My hair goes dry after 1 or 2 days. And it stays dry for the next 7 days or longer before I can bring myself to recondition it! But, I will try using 2 conditioners like you said instead of one. I usually seal with almond oil. So, I guess this will be my New Year's resolution - to dampen and recondition my hair as soon as it starts to feel dry. Thanks!👍🏾
Thank you I really needed this!! I have been struggling with hair dryness for years and I gotten way sadder knowing that I’ve been trying a lot of stuff for my hair. Thanks for giving me tips so I can get back to my natural hair!!❤❤
I started this method but haven't been consistent. I realized that watching your video. I've been watching countless videos and yours is the first to make sense. Thank you!🥰 I'll reply again when my hair is healthy healthy 🤣
I used to do LOC method. I need to get back to it or LCO. I be so tired I been in buns and ponytails and I HATE THEM! Ugh, hair is such a job to do. Thanks for sharing sis
This is such a great simple but yet detailed video! Natural hair can seem nearly impossible to keep moisturized without the right regimen😔 This was a super helpful video! You have beautiful hair! Thanks for the tips!❤❤
Love it! I've been loc'd over 15 years, still love 'em. I'm just curious about my loose hair. Thinking of going loose next year...doing my research now. :D
Even though I have high porosity I do something similar that helps. I do LOCO(liquid, oil, cream, oil) then I twist it up. I put it in a satin scrunchie on top of my head to stretch it out after it’s washed. Then I put on my satin slap. It stays moisturized for about three days.
Life itself is difficult. With highs and lows . I got locs but you have a new subscriber as I have 2 daughters and the clove and rosemary video hooked me up for new tips for our scalp.our hair is super dry .I guess just like for skin consistency is key and I neglected my Gairloch these past 3 years since covid really but I was depressed 😔 so I am picking up now. Oh wow I use this same oil at the moment.between skincare and haircare trying to be beautiful is really a full time job .I now understand those celebrities.and you are young just imagine when you are ageing .you need even more maintenance
Thank you for coming through with this video! You’re definitely one of my faves to watch since I FINALLY discovered you😩 Where you been all my life! lol thanks girl! Keep up the great work!
🫰😂 nice. Thanking GOD I found your channel. You the bomb girl.😊 I’m really learning how to take better care of my hair and the products - so good. Thank you. ❤
Great video Michelle -- love it!! I am getting ready to professionally color my hair -- so I too am a low porosity girl, so I need to do something like this once I color it!! Again, great video!! Be Blessed girl!!
@@SimplyShell417 - seriously! I have never ever colored my hair (and I mean ever) not even a rinse. Well, I have to think 🤔 about it - I am tired of these gray hairs all over my head.
I appreciate the video 💜 going to try adding a cream before oil I was just doing leave in then oil n that keeps me moisturized for a good 2 days maybe adding cream before oil will last longer. Thanks again
Hey love the video… I have low porosity hair but my hair is breaking can you suggest how to stop breakage because I hate it when I see all my hair just coming out and keep tangling 😭😭 am seriously considering cutting all my hair off and starting over but at the same time I don’t want to
Normally I don’t have to do this in the winter time. I was just thinking to myself my hair looks really dry. And this the first video that came on when I logged in. I used to do this sooo much and my hair grew so much. Let me get back to this routine tomorrow because my hair is dry and dull looking even though people will say your hair so pretty and looks so moisturized. Naw my hair crunchy
The annoying things about hair maintenance is that hair can't be too oily nor too dry. Healthy hair should be a good balance between dry and oily. For someone who isn't of any black/African descent, I still can't wash my hair daily due to the fact shampoo strips off the natural necessary oils which help hydrate hair. Therefore, I only wash and condition my hair every other day or after 2 days (sometimes).
I've been doing the moringa powder method and the rosemary method I've learned from watching your channel. Would I apply this after the treatment, or do you think those methods are moisturizing enough? Also, does the ORS product contain only natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals? Thanks in advance!!
Whew. I've so been taking my hair for granted. I'm on duty tho after these videos. I appreciate the information. Let the journey continue. I'm still working on the first regimen.
I know this video is 2 years old, and I’m late I’ve been doing this for years. My hair is high porosity. It’s dry again the next day. For years! I think low porosity hair will maintain the moisture longer, once it gets in there. We high porosity sisters have to struggle to maintain moisture. I haven’t found a method yet (aside from moisturizing daily) that works for this mess on my head 😭
How is your hair low porosity when you have chemical color added ? I think a lot of people say they are low porosity when they aren’t which causes those who are really low porosity to follow them and fail.
I did the big chop again 😢 the relaxed hair was wayyy to damaged and I had some growth. I didn’t want to keep pulling out my good strands so I cut. Now I’m struggling to keep moisturize in it for a long time. I got high porosity hair

Dad try the “Unbrush” for detangling, it really works 😊 Detangle from the end and gently work your way to the top
I feel your pain. I have to hydrate at least twice a day until I get my hair in a moisture routine. Lots of work for beginners but it will pay off. ❤
