The best part about a windy campsite is... *NO MOSQUITOES!!* Can't beat that.
/Trade one thing for another, I guess!
So true. Didn't think about that !
NEVER Cut Ur Vlogs Back, There R a lot of us out here That love a long one, they can always stop it & come back later if it's to long for them, but those of us that like the long ones can't add to them... We enjoy 30 mins. or more THANK YOU!
The exterior shots in the Kuberick version of the Shining were filmed at Timberline Lodge Mt. Hood. The second movie was filmed at the Stanley Hotel Estes Park, Co. ..the hotel that inspired King to write the novel! Mt. Hood is nevertheless majestic! Thank you for the shots of it!
Linda Pimple thank you for sharing this information on the Shining because I knew about the one in Colorado but never heard about the other place, so I was getting ready to go Google this to find out if this was true. You saved me some time...lol
Hugs from Texas
Yes thanks for info I only knew about the Estes Park hotel...learn something new everyday if you pay attention.
Myrtle looks like she is having fun! Glad the glasses and binocs work our for her! ! Love you guys!
Of course she's having fun ! With Teri cooking, and Scotty keeping her laughing, who wouldn't have fun ??? She's really cute Kathy ! Good on Ya.
You are the kindest couple. I love your videos and your photography is excellent. Enjoy every moment together.
Washington is really beautiful. I'm glad you took us along. :)
The wind would be rediculous, but the other noise wouldn't bother me too much. I cannot sleep in total peach and quiet.
Terry you could never make a video to long for me I just love your videos
Amen !
When my marriage fell apart 25 years ago I got a job working 3rd shift and an apartment near a railroad track. Well I didn't think it was that close, but I guess 2.5 blocks is close enough. Anyway at the time I was depressed and dealing with un-diagnosed hypothyroidism. I would come home in the morning and CRASH. The first few weeks I thought my neighbor was learning to play the trumpet! Somehow I would go into a very deep sleep and only hear the train whistle maybe once or twice. Then after a while I began to feel better and I began to think that the "the trumpet player" was getting pretty darn good! Even though I heard the whistle more I kind of started to enjoy it and then go back to sleep. Eventually I learned that needed to address the thyroid condition and when I did I realized it was the train whistle I had been hearing all long! LOL I think I laughed at myself all day long that day! Soon after I bought my own house farther away from the tracks. Where are you guys? Still at home with visitors? I miss your current posts. Love you & Ausia & MooMOo
You guys gotta learn to play a game whenever something like a train keeps you awake. Every time the train honks it’s horn you change positions, if you know what I mean, nudge, nudge, wink, 😉 wink. Say no more. Hahahahaha Love you two. Cheers!!!
Wow, that's the first time I have heard a bird sing a song. How pretty! Thank you. Continue the good work and I enjoy every minute of it. Love, Lynne
Wow now that’s a view absolutely beautiful 💕 those choo choo trains 🚞🚂 lol great video as always 💕😎
Terri you can never over film, that is what draws me to your channel. The sites are beautiful and probably the only way a lot of us will ever see some of the places you go. Thanks for sharing with us. Stay safe out there. Wish you could have dropped further south into Oklahoma than you did. Maybe next time.
Love the 25mins vlog. This is a beautiful place
Just love the video of the American Dippers (birds)
I’m enjoying the travels!!!👠🚌👠
Dave’s gonna have to go a long way to get away from those trains!
I love the respectful way you treat each other.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful scenery of your home state with us!
Loved the birds and water
😄The birds thought they were 'alone there' also, but two humans came along and interrupted their 'afternoon delight'😉😆. Nice song they were singing🐦 and lovely place to stay a while.
Teri, especially for the sake of your hips😊, while you're home, it might be a good time to order trekking poles for your next adventure. JOY! 💚
As beautiful as always. We are so fortunate to be in the PNW nice video!
I would stay there also! So pretty!!
I wanted to see those rocks piled on top of each other in the water where you were walking around. I don't know if you saw them there. I kept talking to the phone saying " I want to see those".... Haha, like you could hear me. They looked to be a good 3 feet tall. I know people pile and balance them like that, I just think they look cool.
I noticed them too.
Beautiful scenery ❤ thankyou for taking us along🤗
Scot & Teri, A lot of us cannot go to the places you visit. Due to vehicles, finances or health reasons. Thank You for what you do. Tom & Sharyl Yucaipa, California. :)
We were born and raised in California.....lived there 52 years; 18 years in Texas now 7 years in St Louis MO, area. Anyway, we camped on the beach outside of Ventura, CA for many years. A train track following 101 Hwy, sounded like it was coming through our tent. We went back year after year because it was so much fun camping at the beach....love the Ocean.....🌊🌊🤗
This is so beautiful! I appreciate being taken along with you!!
Wow just so green love that last place with the birds soooo pretty : )
I love a train sound at night.!!
Me too....always makes me lonesome for my grannies shack by the tracks.
@@VanillaRain2012 Me three, I grew up close to tracks, but not as close as Scott and Teri were.
@@VanillaRain2012 Reading that gave me a start!!:(my grands was about 1/4 mile away, and it's a memory that remains nostalgic, even though most come straight outta hell,in Rural Mississippi.
That bird song is so sweet. It looks like they are American Dippers.
Its nice to be alone sometimes. Never hurts to take a break. You and your tribe love each other. I'm sure everyone understands when you take a break.
Another excellent video thanks for bringing me along what a beautiful place. Books like beautiful weather there that's always a plus. Stay safe have a great day I'll see you on the next one.
I'm from Washington too. You made me a bit melancholy as I followed you these last days. I am transplanted to Denver now.
Lol im a denver resident living in washington now since 92 luckily i live in rural lewis county
Looking at all that natural beauty is such a thrill and the tranquility of the river is soooo comforting. Surely, God must have looked at the Pacific Northwest when creating Eden. Please make your videos as long as u like. It's your channel to shape it as you want. I appreciate all the effort you guys put into the videos (Ausia's , too) Thank you.
Luv u guys ! Thank you for sharing your adventures. Gosh, Washington State is stunning , it’s my #2 on the bucket list. Terri , you are a wonderful cook keep those videos coming. Safe Travels and give Scott a hug for me. Be well😊
Agree on all counts except, Scott you give Teri A hug for me !lol.
It's a beautiful area just be ready to shake , rattle , and hear the roar of trains , and put a anchor on so you don't blow away.lol! 😀 I would move on too but it is pretty to see.
I hope you enjoyed your time together. It's nice to break off onto your own at times. Beautiful there!
You’re making me fall in love with my home state again. So beautiful.
Beautiful footage safe travels!!👍
The rocks piled up are called prayer rocks. We stack the up and send a prayer for a loved on or some one who passed. 🤙🏼🤙🏼 🐻
*sigh* The Pacific NW is SO beautiful! I miss it. I am very grateful that you schlep us along! Thank you.
That is a Beautiful place to visit. Thank you for sharing it.👍☕️🍩
What a beautiful area. The river is just so fantastic and loved seeing those birds.
So beautiful. Can't wait till we start traveling. Going to make note all this beauty. Thank you for sharing. Be safe.
Please don't stop sharing everything. I love it. My morning coffee and Scotty and Teri. Never been to Washington its beautiful.
obviously the huge logs were cut and placed for control of the flow of the water, to either slow it down or redirect it. Water management by man is sometimes necessary, time will only tell. I absolutely love being in places like this, so beautiful !!! Thank you for sharing.
Washington State is beautiful, I have never seen it before and I live in the U.K. I appreciate your filming thank you. What a beautiful bird song.
Such beautiful country there. Oh I would love to be there. Thanks for taking me along. Travel safe.
Wow,the waves ! Love the view,but stay inside!🍃🍃
What a wonderful video! I love the sound of the water, so Peaceful. Tonight, I think you will sleep really good with all the beautiful sounds. Thank you for sharing your experience
I LOVE the 12 to 16 minute videos!!!!! But this one is GREAT!!!!
This is too funny. I was parked there 3 years ago. Yes, the trains are very noisy. I didn't experience all that wind, though.
That’s the Gorge for you. When I was in my 30’s (early 80’s) I climbed up to the top of Beacon Rock .
I know what you mean Scotty, I lived in northern Vermont by the Canadian border and after my wife passed away I sold house and land and moved to Florida then Texas for 7 years and now Florida once again the last 2 years. I miss the mountains and tree's and changing of colors each fall.
So beautiful there!
Hugs and Safe Travels!
Faye
THE CREEK WITH THE BIG LOGS IN IT LOOK LIKE A GOOD PLACE FOR A BIGFOOT.
Cant get enough of your videos love them!❤❤
I have camped all over Washington for over 15 years and never paid to camp and stayed in some beautiful places.I hope you guys the best of luck.
Hmm, Goosalopes....is that like Jackalopes?💁🏻♀️....such a beautiful site!❣️
Washington state is beautiful..i spent several months there visiting with my late brother at University Place..fished and crabed with him at Stella Coombs and Fort Defiance..brought back fond memories..
REALLY NICE.
Awesome views, awesome music...
So beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
What lovely places you go. In case you don't know, the birds were Water Ouzels, also known as American Dippers, and they can swim.
you provide excellent videos because you actually camp, all walmarts are the same I enjoy the camping or woodsy nature your channel provides, substance
Beautiful place to camp. 🙏💙🌺🐺🤗💜👍
Beautiful video. I love the sights and sounds of nature.
Beautiful views, but unless you have lived next to a RR track you would be awake either by the sound, or lying there anticipating the next one. It's the whistle that can be heard for miles that opens eyes wide open. Thank you for sharing.
beautiful area nice video!
Hola 🤗
Thank you for bringing us along.Washington state is beautiful it is a lot like the Adirondacks in New York state. Loved the birds.
I agree! I grew up near the Adirondacks in upstate NY. So many people have no clue about that area, but it's gorgeous!
Not trying to disagree but a visit to Washington would show you much more beautiful and there are still places to be almost or completely alone. The Adirondacks are over populated and over run with people many of whom have no business in the campgrounds and on the trails. From a lifelong Western NY resident who travels the country in a PU camper looking for the combination of beauty and remote enjoyment.
What a wonderful adventure you two get to go on. Makes me jealous. Take care.
Me too !
Beautiful!! Thanks for the ride along........
The loudest train I ever encountered was along the Columbia River at Biggs Junction. I had spent 3 days loading Farm equipment on 4 Semi's in Pendleton Oregon in December, -20 degree weather with 40mph winds. I went to bed about 10:00 pm and was awakened around 2am. I would'a swore the train came right down the hallway of the little motel. Woke the dead (me at least) and it was a long train. Left about 4, I was wide awake, trains came through about every 15 minutes....James
Beacon Rock is so much fun to climb! We did that several times while I lived in Oregon...kids really enjoyed it!
wow!!! the scenery at the end was absolutely beautiful Thanks for posting your videos wish you guys happy and safe journeys.
This is sooo much more beautiful than the desert!!
That's why they do all the wind surfing there because of the wind.
Myrtle looking good :) lol
Thanks for taking me from Hot AZ, to home with you. So jealous😁, be safe and enjoy being home in the beautiful state of Washington ❣💞💕💖
That is really pretty. Luv'ed the shot of Mt.Hood. Wash. is a really pretty state. Bet you guys are glad to get back ,after 11 months. Thanks for sharing !
I miss the salmon berries! I was born in Renton, raised in Carnation and we used to pick them all the time. Love seeing Washington videos. I miss home.
Luv Myrtle’s new attire...🦑
Thanks for sharing such beauty! I love all the ferns and the berry bushes. Gods landscaping is just the best. Safe Travels...
Thank you for taking us on your adventures ..... its beautiful
What a beautiful camp site. I'm surprised Teri didn't wear her flip flops on that hike. Lol stay safe on the road. I miss you guys.
Omgosh, what a beautiful, peaceful area....thanks for sharing with us, i don't blame you guys i would have stayed there for a couple of days too, or longer .... anyway safe travels and happy trails!!!
That was really beautiful and I sure did enjoy that bird chirping different sounds. Thank you both so much. Much love to y'all.
Thanks for bringing us alone on your journey. I love your video's makes me so want to be able to travel, but my parents health comes first, so I am doing my daughter duties. And one day I will be able to do this.
You are so right, and may God bless you for it! I had to stop and care for my father with Alzeimers for nearly 11 years; my mother had died very young, and I was all he had. As long and hard as it was, it was an honor to care for him. He was the best dad ever; so I always call it the small sacrifice. I hope the good Lord rewards you with the gift of travel. Hugs....
Ditto (Except I'm doing my son duties.) Wishing the best for you and yours.
lol @ Dave... running away from a train at 2 a.m. is funny.. but.. I understand.. Also it sure is a beautiful spot though!! Now, I have to go back to watching..
Welcome to the Columbia gorge I do not think that wind ceases
Natural wind tunnel. Great windsurfing!
The reason the trains were blowing their horns was that rail crossing you went over as you left. Trains are required by law to signal when approaching and crossing a road of any kind. And they have to start signaling within a certain distance until they reach the actual crossing. In fact, some of the newer trains do it automatically. The engineer doesnt even have control of it.
Wow! That’s one of the very best nature videos that I’ve seen! The sights and sounds were gorgeous! Thank you Teri and Scott😊
Gurrrl, you need some hiking poles to save the knees and hips.
Well Teri, that's different picking up your own garbage! LOL 😁😉🤔 Thxs, so good to be home thru you.👏💓 Can't wait to get closer to Sea/Tac.
Absolutely beautiful!! Like a little paradise ❤️❤️❤️
Oh what a beautiful drive!!!😁😁😁👍👍👍 I wanna go see Washington... Sooo beautiful!!!!

I used to have a 79 Dodge power wagon 4x4 with a Half camper on it,I used to drive way back in the woods and camp where most people would balk at going but when you have the right Rig you can go anywhere. safe travels have fun.!!
