I remember walking up the vert ramp steps at Wooward and seeing "some dude" sitting on his bike ..........Little did I know it was JAIME FUCKING BESTWICK... Well until he rolled in and did a 8 foot flare downside whip. 9 time x-games gold medalist and the most humble dude too. He fucking shreds like no other.
I hope he wins a 10th with decade flair

I remember last year when I first got into bmx I walked past a tv during the summer. I saw his line, but I didn't know who it was. Mind was so blown

they took street out of the Xgames :(
Not to say old school BMX riders weren't good, but it's crazy how little skill you had to have to place in the X games back in the day. A run with 540's and barspins won't even get you past qualifiers nowadays... and a lookback flair won't get much attention either. The sports really progressed.

I hear that. It's true in 98 or so a 720 was huge! Now five year olds at Woodward are doing double backflips into the foam pit. Back then a bar spin , xup, and a spin you'd make the podium lol
Jamie Bestwick Last won gold in 2016 that's like 7 years ago and the last medal he
won was a silver in 2019 that's only 4 years ago. Jamie Bestwick rode and won in
the old-school era and the new. besides i don't think the BMX vert is in the x games
anymore.
