The part that fell below the flap retains the gasket assembly. It clicks in place via tiny plastic tabs. Those tabs break off allowing the retainer to drop and the flush to fail. Simply pushing it back on would invite it to happen again. I suggest clean, dry and epoxy the retainer back in to stop it happening again. Worked for me.

Agree, just fixed exact problem with plumbers primer and glue. Working fine.

I have a level checker , i need to push it down most of the time when I use flush ... Else it doesn't fill water in flush
