You are omitting that Blake Lively is the producer on this film, therefore, she DOES have ownership! Not a BL fan, but you can't tell a producer they don't have a say in what happens on and around the movie project.
The way she treated Justin Baldoni is unbelievably cruel. I was left out of my work group (not invited to group lunches or retreats and told how to answer the phones and take their messages). It seemed almost medieval. Very hurtful.
That’s the most demonic thing to accuse someone of the things she did, if they didn’t truly happen, which I’m getting the feeling they don’t. She’s needs help, Not Hollywood.
Okay mini-defense of Blake. It is OKAY to feel insecure about your body. It is OKAY, even in those scenarios. Body image issues aren't rational, they're irrational. I have body image issues too, and I get slightly triggered when I read romance books and the like where you're meant to identify with the character but they're described as "small". Hell, even the initial offense at the bump statement was an overreaction but one someone could understand (the rest of the catty behaviour is just b*tchy). HOWEVER, you have to make sure you check yourself. You HAVE to be aware of your triggers and manage them and acknowledge and apologise for every time they blow up. The scenario with Baldoni asking about her weight is something that is valid to be hurt by. It is objectively something that could trigger trauma. HOWEVER, you have to realise that the question is a valid one and you have to talk it out, get over yourself, or find a solution. If the carry was an issue and you don't feel comfortable anymore with it, there's solutions. So basically: Blake being triggered by mentions of her weight is valid, she obviously has trauma relating to it. However, she isn't managing herself well and isn't reflecting on her actions

The story sounds boring and her acting isn't exactly deep. I'm an avid reader, but not on tiktok. Never heard of that book until the BL drama came out.
just a tip, dont abbreviate Blake Lively to BL when talking about books, comics, movies, shows, and manga because BL means "boy love" or a gay romance. its not a big deal, but it may be confusing or seem strange to people reading your comments. 💚
I think they cut back to the interviewer because it showed how mean the “celebrities “ were, leaving her out of the conversation. Great analysis! Thanks!
I’m a woman and it’s not like I’m in love with star signs or something LMAO. I’m spiritual. But not like that 😂 no offense to those that do I just thought it was funny he did such a broad statement about women (at least that’s what I’m assuming that’s what he meant by “I just remembered who my _audience_ are”)
In every situation, context is important. Even if she wanted to keep heavy conversations away, she could have invited a therapist or social worker who could speak on the topic. She could have invited DV survivors and arranged a hair makeover for them, that way she would have come across as completely different. Look how Leonardo Di Caprio handled "Killers of the Flower Moon" and the susceptible topic. He put Lily Gladstone up front and allowed her to talk about the subject close to her heritage.
It’s obvious to me that she’s not malicious but being married to a beloved, naturally funny movie star, she thinks the funny has rubbed off on her. So she ends up looking bad because she isn’t remotely amusing. But no one who’s around an A-list star like her will ever tell her she needs to stop, including her husband. And these press tours absolutely look mentally exhausting so maybe that is also a factor in this.
There is nothing wrong with saying you are more than what happened to you. DV typically is associated with a good deal of shame and from experience because of the multifaceted issues that stem from being in that kind of situation it can at some points feel like it is a defining event. That being said I do NOT understand the obsession with CoHo's books to begin with- you are correct in the statement that she didn't exactly say anything earth shattering and there is nothing particular special about her take. The book is as vapid as Blake's understanding of DV lol I don't know what anyone was expecting. I think the question about people connecting with the character or movie and wanting to share things with Blake isn't a normal question at all. Why would someone try to have a serious ass conversation about your DV experience with a stranger because they played a character in a movie? What kind of poignant exchange are you going to have with blake lively even if you did passeher by on the street- like what a weird ass question lol I don't know how she was supposed to respond to that Blake responded to the question about outfits as if it were misogynistic as men typically get deep questions during these press tours and women are asked about what kind of diet they had to do or their clothes or just generally surface level questions or questions about appearances as opposed to their male counterparts. That being said in this context the interviewer may have asked the men about the wardrobe as well because it is a fucking period piece focusing on glitz and glamor of 1930s hollywood. (a woody allen movie of all things) even if it were a shitty boring misogynistic question - her response still sucks. Acting like someone is subhuman because you don't like their question is shitty and does make her look like an asshole.
About the interviewer asking her about the clothes, I completely agree. And what is crazy to me is that in this press tour, any time an interviewer asks her about DV she starts going off about the wardrobe. It is all she wants to talk about! "I borrowed clothes from Gigi Hadid and those were by Louboutin boots in that scene" 😂
Idk why the interviewer would ask her what would be the best way for DV victims to talk to her about it. That’s such a stupid question. If you want to talk about that go to a therapist, not a celebrity that was just ACTING about that cuz it’s literally her job.
Right? I get that Blake's reaction might have fallen in bitter taste, but my guess is that she only joked about it because the question itself is just so strange and weird. Imagine minding your business until a stranger suddenly comes up to you and starts trauma dumping because they saw you in a movie once and have formed a one-sided connection to where they think it is even remotely appropriate to use you to vent. Asking her what the best way for someone is to talk to her about their trauma is so bizarre. The real answer is "I'm not here to listen to their problems", but that would have been far more scandalous.
When it comes to her hair care launch it was originally supposed to be released at this time. The movie got pushed back so that part actually is a coincidence. They weren't supposed to release at the same time. Part of what she says is true too and no one person can speak for any group of people because everyone will deal with things differently so even though she isn't really wrong when she says it doesn't define you no one should be attempting to speak on behalf of others.
this is kinda targeting the area of her being a very meh actor, but in Gossip Girl, she's supposed to be the protag but Blaire (Leighton Meister) ends up kinda taking over as the series goes on. (i never finished the series but Blaire was protag by 2nd season FO SHO).
Its very refreshing to see a person on the internet presenting arguments with nuance. I feel like now people deem others as just good OR bad, but rlly humans are very multifaceted beings. Blake was mean and tone deaf, but if it was someone else I know they would get way less backlash than her
Did they not think about people with substance abuse issues because promoting it like that is bad because I’ve had a sister with alcohol abuse and she did to numb the pain and promoting it like an escape almost is fucking wild
despite everything else said in this video (not because it's not important, I just don't have a place to talk about it) I wouldn't be surprised if she holds some resentment to the public due to how Ryan is treated a lot better then her and she's probably extra aware of any comment that makes her more aware of any reasons why there's a difference (misogyny etc). Then she projects her insecurity.
THANKS! Quite enjoyed your rant on Ryan Reynolds actually. (Because it's all true.) They're both just d-level actors with him being far more quick-witted. But that gets old quickly. He also seems ultra competitive and vicious if he doesn't get his way.
Can’t even lie never heard of the movie or book until this very video 💀 i didn’t even know she was still acting I know she was in deadpool and wolverine as ladypool
Talking about Deadpool movies acting like Deadpool in the comics is kinda funny. As comic Deadpool did all that way too much like very panel had something like that. The Deadpool's movies have lower budgets due to Ryan's own request. They had to cut corners with slow mode to get more content
She doesn't relate to what the people who went through this suffered which is a good thing (for her) but it makes her not able to grasp the feelings or act on them. I think they should've had someone who understood what the character went through. They just hired the first pretty face they saw and it shows. There's so many amazing actresses that can play serious, emotional roles but not Blake. I wouldn't be surprised if this is her last non comedic role.
The father of my son is an alcoholic and is physically ab*sive when he drinks, when my son was born I finally left my ex because I refuse to let my son grow up thinking it’s normal or have him be harmed.. So Blake having that shit stuck to her now is disheartening. Not that I liked her to begin with, but she’s the WRONG person to be talking about this because she literally does not give a shit about real survivors of dv.

She’s a narcissist cruel mean girl to stab Justin in the back, constantly. But, this is her true self. She uses everyone around her on the set from Colleen to Sony. She abuses her position. Without Ryan, she’d be no one.
i can't believe Colleen Hoover is so popular. She's a horrible writer and so many of her books just give her an excuse to romanticize Domestic Abuse. i literally cannot escape her on tiktok or anywhere else i go 😭
The Devil wears floral designer dresses. Pretty sad 😈
as a 16 year old I know most girls at my school have read this book and other coho books. In fact our school library has a whole subsection of just coho books. Mind you, our school has an age range of 14 to 17, which is concerning. I know plenty of people who have criticised Blake lively’s casting because she’s older but I think that this helps to separate the book from its younger audience. This is one thing that I cant be too critical of when the book romanticised dv towards a more impressionable age

13:02 is Ryan Reynolds always in character or does he takes roles where he acts himself…I think the latter
He’s very inauthentic in his interviews. Like, he really is playing a character or a caricature of his true self.
Bro. He's been playing Deadpool all his life. Like it works when he's Deadpool but in blade 3, he was the absolute worse thing about that movie and that movie was HOT garbo (I say this as an obsessive Blade fan).
What she did could've been deeply damaging to Baldoni's career. She's insulting the people who genuinely have been mistreated on set ... which is an issue very prevalent in the entertainment industry. Blake only got her career because of her parents, she did nothing to earn or deserve it anyway.
Thr tampon cut when period was said killed me haha
Reading a book just to make a video is pretty metal.
I literally thought this was a romcom and I don’t know why she took on a movie like this when she is literally more know for being a fashion girl and Ryan Reynolds wife than she is an actress.
She's not worse than I think lol
I was bullied relentlessly by her clones in highschool.
There is something so 1999 about her. Its hard to explain.

Are we just not gonna talk about the fact she talks about watching this with women that haven’t experienced this, specifically JUST women. you know, like DA doesn’t happen to men.
I know it’s a woman in the movie but like, DA is VERY prevalent towards men too much like SA, it’s just seemingly never acknowledged. I haven’t seen this movie but I feel like I know someone that could relate to its themes
This could be kinda nit picky to say but I’m sick of acting like we are invisible,.
My ex boss was also a virgo...and we worked in the logistics department...and that woman was an ABSOLUTE MENACE.
I’m sure not all Virgos are awful 🥹
aw my mother was a Virgo and she was the loveliest woman you could know

I’m a virgo but had a traumatic brain injury and I swear my type A perfectionism went away with it. Grateful for that
She got stuck in her Serena role.
Maybe she was type-cast in that role and it only worked BECAUSE it was her natural personality....
Some of the only decent parts of Deadpool were parts he didn’t do like the dancing and action scenes 😅
THIS! 💯

Blake is like Trump. So many words, no substance.
Please do not compare Trump to ➡️ this person. 😵💫
What an idiotic comment.
An idiotic comment.
Why is there so many horrible people in 2024
they’re nothing new. it’s just they’re famous so them being exposed is more well known. and you have the internet for fast fame and spreading information. that just means terrible people are much more common than you think.
There are not more, we are just actually noticing and calling people out for their shit behavior
@@x-gate-gate-gateif that’s the case then we are literally all bad ppl… ever heard the saying nobody is perfect?? Lol ur a sht person too just as much as I am we’re just competing for whose the LEAST sht person😂😂🤡
She's trying to be a part of those 'celebrities destroy rude interviewer' compilations on RUclips.
Kinda unrelated but colleen hoover's books suck
You are omitting that Blake Lively is the producer on this film, therefore, she DOES have ownership! Not a BL fan, but you can't tell a producer they don't have a say in what happens on and around the movie project.
The way she treated Justin Baldoni is unbelievably cruel. I was left out of my work group (not invited to group lunches or retreats and told how to answer the phones and take their messages). It seemed almost medieval. Very hurtful.
As a Virgo, whose birthday is literally today, NO SHE IS NOT ONE OF US! TO THE STREETS WITH YE WENCH!!!!!!
WOOOO READY FOR THISs
That’s the most demonic thing to accuse someone of the things she did, if they didn’t truly happen, which I’m getting the feeling they don’t. She’s needs help, Not Hollywood.
I'm a Virgo and I'm embarrassed that she is one and actually brought that up! 🫣🫥🙄
Thanks so much for mentioning the booze/dv link aspect! So on the nose, Blake!
A very fair intelligent assessment of this whole situation.
R R is not interesting at all. Hard to watch. B L seems mean scatter brain.
I never knew who Blake was before this movie came out. Like I've never heard her name or watched anything she's been in knowingly.
I knew she was Ryan Reynolds' wife, but that's it.
I would have got out my phone and started texting until they stopped their rude behavior.
Thanks for the Video Danky. Gonna have to look for your Ryan Reynolds vid
Blake and her word salad
Ryan ties to hard to be funny ngl I miss OG deadpool Ryan's comes off as cringe..
i love to see a genuinely opinionated youtuber, i disagree with a lot of your opinions, but thats the point. i like that you dont try to agree with everybody.
You are an amazing orator . I agree with everything you said .
I love your content, dude. Keep up the good work.
24:53 Oh my god yes. Deadpool and Wolverine wasn’t very good. It basically had no story and felt sooo slow besides being so long. Also they survived due to THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP??????
love how you pronounce "book" like "bewk" occasionally haha
She is also promoting her new hair product business called floral or flowers this why she’s wearing floral dresses in her promotion for the movie.
She literally played a mean sneaky girl in New York for YEARS. I’m not surprised
I think they cut back to the interviewer because it showed how mean the “celebrities “ were, leaving her out of the conversation. Great analysis! Thanks!
Babe wake up dankyjabo posted a certified banger

Bad take on Deadpool but great video tho
Of course she a bully!! She besties with miss mean girl herself (TS)
24:58
*clutches pearls* Leave my gooch out of this!
During gossip girl she wasn't dating Ryan Reynolds and was making such jokes
i completely agree deadpool and woleverine was absolute shite and i wouldnt sit through that film again for 1 million pounds.
What kind of poignant exchange are you going to have with blake lively even if you did passeher by on the street- like what a weird ass question lol I don't know how she was supposed to respond to that
Blake responded to the question about outfits as if it were misogynistic as men typically get deep questions during these press tours and women are asked about what kind of diet they had to do or their clothes or just generally surface level questions or questions about appearances as opposed to their male counterparts.
Sometimes I think being a celebrity ruins people’s personality. They get all the money and attention in the world but at the cost of their character.
4 views in 2 hours? Fell off /j
I didn't even know Blake has had a career in the past 15 years until this movie. 😂
The real answer is "I'm not here to listen to their problems", but that would have been far more scandalous.
babe wake up new dankyjabo video dropped
The florals thing bugs me so much. The abuse I went through made me too hard and broken to be prancing around in floral clothing 🤦♀️😂
A Simple Favor hits different after seeing this 😅
Gossip girl was a series not a movie.
Talking about Deadpool movies acting like Deadpool in the comics is kinda funny. As comic Deadpool did all that way too much like very panel had something like that. The Deadpool's movies have lower budgets due to Ryan's own request. They had to cut corners with slow mode to get more content
She is just ruining her career. Let her do it all by herself. I will never watch another Blake Lively movie again.
Blake Lively has two movies that are more serious than the comedies and light movies: The Shallows and The Age Of Adaline. I recommend it.
She has always been a mediocre comedic actress.
